Summer 2
"We can't do this anymore. I-I can't do this anymore." Ryou sobbed.
"Please-"
"No. No more of this. I can't take it anymore."
"I won't let you leave me!"
"What makes you think I'm giving you a choice? I'm leaving you and you have to except
that. I..., Ryou paused letting more tears roll down his pale cheek, I want you to know
that I will always love you. No matter how much you hurt me, I will always love you. It's
because of your love that I'm leaving you. If you really love me like you claim you'll let
me go. I don't want you to write, call, visit, or even e-mail me. Just let me be free."
Silence filled the room. Neither said another word. Ryou picked up his suitcase and
bags and walked to the door. Before he opened it he looked back at the one he loved.
The older man was on the floor. His long white locks keeping his face hidden. It didn't
matter. Ryou didn't need to see his face. He already knew it would be identical to his.
Streaked with tears.
As a single tear fell from Ryou's eye he said the last words he thought he'd ever
say to the man on the floor.
"Good-bye, Bakura." With that he stepped outside.
It was an early summer morning but the sun wasn't out. A few gray clouds
decorated the sky. There were no children playing on the sidewalk or street. There were
no birds or squirrels searching for food. The entire street looked deserted. It was as if
nature knew what had happened between the two.
Ryou sighed and wiped his eyes with his shirt sleeve. He looked down at the now
wet clothe.
"I will shed no more tears for you."
