Part 1

A/N: This little story is based on the doujinshi "Telephone Line" by Rapan featuring SetoxYami. I have absolutely no idea what the actual dialogue is, since I can't read a whit of Japanese. So this is my take on it. Not much of a plot, but from what I can tell of the pics, the doujin didn't have one either. The second chapter will be based on the doujin sequel "Telephone Redial."

Yami lay on the wide, canopied bed and tried to sleep. It was no use. There was too much room for him to toss and turn. There was no warm body to curl up into.

He groaned. Ever since moving in with Seto a few months ago, he had spent every single night wrapped up in his lover's strong arms. Each night they would explore each other's bodies with renewed passion before falling asleep exhausted and intertwined.

Seto was on a weeklong business trip. Yami had wanted to join him, but Seto had told him he would be too busy. Yami would be bored. So here he was, lying on this way-too-big bed, missing Seto terribly.

He briefly thought of visiting Yuugi back at the game shop. But it was very late. Yuugi and his grandpa were probably sound asleep.

He was glad Yuugi hadn't protested when he had decided to move in with Seto. Yuugi had actually been very happy that Yami had found love with his once arch-rival. Besides, Yami being involved with Kaiba left more time for Yuugi to spend with Jounouchi. The two had found each other almost the same time that Seto and Yami had.

Yami sighed again. It was no good. He still couldn't sleep. He looked at the bedside clock. 1am. He wondered if Kaiba was awake. He looked back at the table where Seto had left him a cellphone with a headpiece attachment. He picked it up and put on the headpiece. He hoped he wouldn't wake his lover up. But just to be able to hear his voice again was better than staring at the walls.

*beep beep beep, beep beep beep, beep beep beep beep*

Seto: "Kaiba,"

Yami: "You answered. I thought you might be asleep."

Seto: "Yami...it's late. Why are you calling now?"
