~Things Left Unsaid - Prologue~
>Unknown Someone's POV<
I have lived a long time. I am as timeless as the Shadows your ancestors played with. You may never know it Pharaoh, but it was I who channeled the power to create the seven millennium items. I wanted nothing more than to be by your side as a trusted advisor to guide you through your darkest days, but I knew my place in destiny. I was to be forever the watcher, forbidden to act.
I watched as you were brought into this world, knowing instantly that you were the one to break the cycle of the past and lock away the Shadow Games. I watched as you befriended the Dark Magician, your favorite duel monster, while everyone else left you. I watched as you were forced to take up the throne as pharaoh upon your father's untimely demise. You were not ready for the responsibility of ruling a kingdom, but I knew as I watched that you did your best.
I watched as you tried to fill a void within you. I knew that you felt incomplete. You sought out your concubines when the need to feel complete overwhelmed you. Night after night, you sought completion, never knowing that they are not the ones you truly need. Have you known, Yugioh, that the other half of your soul was watching you from afar? Did you not know of the little look alike working in the slave quarters of your kingdom? At least he was not alone there. He had Jounouchi, Ryou, Malik, and Honda to protect him. Though that tomb raider Bakura and thief Marik stole their own look alikes, Ryou and Malik respectively, away. They would have stolen Yugi as well, but the guards came and they had to leave.
You tried to seek comfort from your high priest, Seth, but his heart had long turned to stone from the bitterness of life and could not comfort you as you so desired. Instead, you revealed a weakness that he would soon take ntagntage of. By chance and subtle nudging from myself, you visited the slave quarters one day. I saw how you could not take your eyes off your look alike. But so did your high priest.
And here, shall be where our story shall unfold.
