Chapter One
____________

I know the things we do aren't healthy for me. I just love the way he rocks his body to mine. How his hips arch to meet my thrusts. He threw away the annoying nicknames of "Puppy", "Mongrel", and "Canine" to just "Jou". The way he said my name was like nothing I'd ever heard from anyone before. It was more than beautiful, more than romantic, more than anything.

He groaned, rolled over, and looked at me with the cerulean eyes that changed color with his every mood. I kissed his mouth. "Good morning Beautiful."

Seto smiled and dozed for a moment. "Waking up like this every morning for the rest of my life is just how I want it to be." He ruffled up his hair, making it all the more disheveled. The way the sun hit his face made him look like a fallen angel, unconscious after he fell to earth. He was mine.

That sounds a little possessive doesn't it?

"Today is different. I can feel it." Seto said, he kissed me again and flipped us so that he was on top of me. We were both already naked from the previous night. He clamped his mouth around my nipped and sucked like an eager hungry child. My breath caught in my throat and I clenched the sheets.

I could hear him snicker and feel him smile. He nipped my flesh. I brought my hands up to his hair and let my fingers feel his silky brown hair. I moaned his named and writhed underneath him, he gasped and I clamped my mouth to his neck and kissed him behind his ear, his most sensitive spot. [1] He sighed loudly and rubbed himself against me. He was soft, warm, and swollen.

"Arch against me." Seto whispered. i moaned his name and bit his shoulder.

I woke up again at three that afternoon; Seto's washroom door was open and the light on. I groaned and snuggled further in the covers to escape the buzzing of his electric shaver. "That damn thing is so annoying, can't you take the fear of cutting off your throat and just use a manual one like all of us poor people?"

The covers smelled like cologne and sex. I put my hand on Seto's place and smiled when it was still warm.

"You have work at three-thirty at the Rec. Center don't you?" He called from the washroom.

I nodded and stretched luxuriously, letting out a small sound of relief. He peered out of the washroom half-dressed. "Don't do that."

"What? This?" I sat up in bed and touched my nipple and ran a hand through my blonde hair. He slammed the door and I laughed at him. "You know you like it."

"That's the problem! I like it too much!"

I leaned over the bed for my clothes. "Where are my clothes?"

He came out brushing his teeth and said through a mouthful of toothpaste. "Where I always put them. Where they belong."

I grabbed my jeans and my black Rec. polo shirt and pulled that on with the muscle shirt beneath it. I clicked my tongue at him and winked. "Thanks doll." He chuckled inside the washroom and spit.

"I love you Jou."

"I love you too Seto."

After I'd gotten into the office and handed some of the kids some ninety-nine cent double cheeseburgers I'd gotten on the way I found my two favorite kids coming for the lunches I packed myself the previous night.

Damien, the youngest of seven with his older sister Alameida came in everyday. Their mother had a habit of disappearing for days and Alameida was only fourteen and couldn't work yet. They walked fifteen minutes and at the end of the day, at nine I'd take them home after they told me they were okay.

Damien munched on his turkey sandwich and some chips Seto bought yesterday while he was perched on my lap. I ruffled his blonde hair and smiled when Alameida touched her own darker brown. Both had the same mother but different fathers. Sometimes Alameida came to the center with cuts and bruises from school fights or from home.

"Did you eat good today?" I asked, Damien nodded and Alameida got up and threw her paper bag away.

"I made pancakes. We bought the mix yesterday."

"Ally cooks good!" Damien smiled picking a little pickle and tomato out from his sandwich and giving it to his sister. He usually liked both; I don't know why he wanted to give them away now. Alameida took the pickle and gave him back the red fruit.

"Eat it. They're good for you."

"Show me what homework you have today kids."

Damien put his sandwich down and brought out two pages of long white plain paper. "I have to draw my family. I want to draw Ally and you!" I felt it. My heart stop for just a moment and I drew his little body into my arms. He was small and bony from missed meals and his previous illness of the flu.

"I'll pose."

He laughed and pulled away. "Do what you do normally."

I nodded solemnly and turned to my new customers. "Ladies, what can I do for you?" The shorter brunette smiled.

"Your children are so cute."

I winked at Damien's giggles. "I know."

"We'd like to use the gym."

"Two dollars is the cost, I'll need you to sign a paper before you attend. Don't ask me why, I'm just a slave." I smiled giving both a pen and their sheets. They finished signing and went through the court to the gym.

------------------------------

Damien and Alameida sat on the bench while I mopped the game room, when I came to the outer skirts of the gym I sighed and looked at the wide-open space.

"I don't want to do this."

------------------------------

I dropped off the kids and continued past the mansion to the drug store. I was feeling dizzy and the owner let me stay there sometimes. I never know what she gives me but it always works.
sis?sis? Is she in right now?"

The red-head nodded and picked up the phone to page the Egyptian woman I'd come to love over the years. I watched the room swirl around me. I bet this is what it was like in the 60's. Isis came to me in her long white dress and homemade sandals. She was an angel, her long black ebony hair always smelled like the freshest of clover. When I was in high school she helped me with math. The way she knew every problem like Einstein gave me chills. That or the fact that we were usually in the coldest room she owned.

"You're so pale Jou."

"I don't feel good. I'm dizzy."

"The cold's been going around. Come to the staff lounge and let me make you some tea."

"I hate tea." She turned around with a hand resting on her white clothed hip. "You hate being sick don't you? You should start going to a doctor like I have told you since you were thirteen. I told you I would pay for you." She grabbed my hand and pulled me through the bright white hall. The light made my head hurt. I stopped to hold my head before I vomited. The floor seemed to come right up to meet my face before I felt Isis' dainty arms pull me back into her embrace.

"Hold on Jou. Hold on." She stumbled inside the small homey room and managed to grab a kettle and put it in the sink as we passed it. She placed me on the ground and I closed my eyes. Listening to her shuffle quickly in the kitchen. She clashed a cup or two and poured water in the elegant cup. I opened my eyes and accepted the hot drink. It didn't smell good and when I drank it, I felt worse than I had before.

"What the hell is this?"

"In a bit you'll be good as new." She touched my forehead with her hand and frowned. "You're so warm Jou. How are you feeling?"

I laughed at her and crawled bravely to my knees and hands. "I feel like a sick dog."

"Isn't that something Kaiba'd like to hear?" She murmured.

"This is where I leave." I got up and stumbled.

"Your body seems to say otherwise."

"I only listen to my body when I'm hungry, horny, or ready to piss."

She raised an eyebrow and let go. "Then leave." I fell to the ground and laughed.

"I need a beer, or a cigarette."

"You'll die sooner."

"I'll die one way or another."

Isis sighed heavily and sat at the table. "Fine, go as you wish." She cradled her chin in her hands and reached for her teacup.

"Come on, you want me to buy you a soy burger?" [2] Isis is the regular Egyptian hippie. She doesn't sell cigarettes and she sells marijuana under the license of the Health department. She has to be given a prescription before she can sell it. She used to be a nurse before she got into a car accident. She's got an ugly scar that runs down her back. It happened when I was sixteen. I worked as her assistant until she became well known to make more money and hire.

"No Jounochi, I need to get back to work."

I held her from behind and nuzzled her neck. "Awe! Are you mad at me? Come on!"

"Get off me!" She shook me off and took our cups and began washing them. "Go home Jounochi. Give my regards to Seto. Drive safe."

I turned back and all but ran back. She started crying when I left, I could hear her.
