Chapter 9
No I will not write out Yami and Yugi's talk. Honestly, I have no clue how it would go. I was as naive and innocent as Yugi until AFTER I got out of college and began reading Yaoi. Yes, I was naive and innocent in college. I had great friends who admired my innocence at such an age and who went out of their way to protect it and me. Thank you, Wren, Colin, Steph, and everyone for your kindness. ^_^ I wouldn't still be so kind-hearted without your protectiveness. This chapter is dedicated to all of you wonderful college buddies.

Yugi was sitting alone under a tree in the schoolyard. It was lunchtime and he took the chance to have a private conversation with Yami. Yami had really opened his eyes to the world, and he was thankful for it, but confused at the same time. From what Yami had told him about love... Well, he needed some more answers.
<'Yami? Can you come out? I need to talk to you,'> Yugi said through the mind link. He sensed Yami nod and a minute later, the tan-skinned vampire was sitting next to him under the tree.
"What is it, Yugi?" he asked, slightly worried.
"You- Do you think of my as friend? Family? Or... something else?" Yugi asked uncertainly. He didn't know why he wanted the answer to be the latter, but he felt pain in his chest at the thought of Yami answering wrongly.
"Why do you ask?" Yami wondered, now confused and slightly hopeful. Yugi looked aside and down.
"I- I don't know. Just... Forget about it, it was stupid. I- I'm just not sure... I-" Yugi gasped as Yami turned his head so they were facing each other once more. The mask Yami wore to hide his true feelings was gone. The vampire was taking a chance showing the young teen his true feelings so soon, but the way Yugi was acting... It was a chance he had to take. Yugi gasped at Yami's intense gaze. He heart felt like bursting, but he had no clue why.
Yami leaned a bit closer and Yugi unconsciously followed suit. Their lips met and Yugi melted. He knew this was what he wanted. Yami broke the kiss after just a few moments, but Yugi was left breathless all the same.
"You should collect yourself for class. I don't want to distract you any longer." With that, the vampire disappeared back into the puzzle.
