Speaking With Seth
Ah our lovely other characters. Bakura and Ryou as promised as well as a slightly angsty Malik and lovely Tristan and Duke.
Chapter 9: Speaking With Seth
Ryou sat quietly beside Bakura. He was still very uncomfortable around his dark. As he lifted up a porcelain cup to his lips he cursed how shaky his hand was. They were currently in a small café north of his house. Ryou was very reluctant to leave the safety of his house. Bakura had to fight to get him out. They had gone to the library as Ryou had to pick up some books and finally arrived to the cozy little place. It was one of Ryou’s favorite places to go and relax. But, there was no relaxation as his dark was sitting across from him a distant expression on his face.
“Why aren’t you with Malik?” He asked suddenly surprising them both. Bakura blinked away his shock and cleared his throat nervously. “What’s going on?”
“I think someone from my past is trying to destroy the peace here.” Bakura said carefully.
“And why did you come to seek me out?” Ryou quietly snarled.
“Because he might have used you,” Bakura said sadly. Ryou blanched and set his cup down slowly.
“What makes you think I would be safe with you here?” Ryou hissed. “I think I would have been-.”
“You’re my descendant!” Bakura snapped. “And, you’re easily possessable.”
Ryou’s face scrunched up at the fact. “I’m not as easy as Tea. She practically throws herself at people.” Bakura couldn’t help chuckling at that. “That’s besides the point. You’re hiding something from me and I want to know.”
“My past self did something that I am not proud of.” Bakura whispered leaning against the window overlooking the street. Everyone looked so happy, shopping, going on little dates, friends hanging out. Bakura longed for those feelings almost everyday. He so wanted to go back to Malik.
Ryou kept his silence as Bakura became lost in thought. His dark was acting strangely. He wasn’t used to it at all. He could remember the violent and overpowering yami that had forced control over his body. Ryou remembered it all. “We should head back to my place. We can talk there.” Ryou suggested finishing off his tea. Bakura nodded and volunteered to help carry Ryou’s books. Ryou just smiled and waved him off. Ryou seemed to be taking him more lightly, Bakura was relieved at that.
Their walk back to Ryou’s house was quiet. Nothing but the busy streets filled their silence. The occasional stray wandered across their path and Ryou cooed at it wishing he could take the small poor animal home. Ryou closed the door behind them and set his bags down tiredly. Bakura kicked off his shoes and wandered into the living room. His vision hazed for a second and he turned around quickly and pulled Ryou close to him as the whole room was drenched in darkness. Ryou clung to him tightly giving a small sound of fright.
“Show yourself.” Bakura hissed, Ryou cringed at his menacing tone.
A familiar figure drifted into sight from the shadows and Bakura held onto his light tighter. “You don’t look so happy to see me…Thief.” Bakura flinched at the nickname.
“Of course I’m not happy to see you Seth.” Bakura growled his hand tightening on Ryou’s shoulder. “I thought you were dead.”
“My wish to see my love again was granted. I had him in my fingers, but those meddling fools got in the way. I need your assistance.” Seth said eyeing Ryou with interest.
“You should have stayed in your afterlife.” Bakura hissed shielding Ryou from Seth’s view.
Seth smirked wickedly. “Are you protecting your hikari, Bakura?” Bakura gritted his teeth.
“I still have power Seth. I am not going to join you so be on your way.” Bakura said his aura building up. Seth frowned. Bakura smirked.
“Do you forget what happened that day?” Seth felt a small flicker in the others aura. “What you saw happen to Atem as he sacrificed himself?”
“Do you forget Seth?” Bakura shot back. “You were the one who plunged the dagger into his chest, not me. You were the one who led your lover to his sacrifice, not me.” Seth’s face darkened. “And, there is the other thing you did, it made him scream so horribly, Seth. He begged you to kill him in the end.” Ryou clutched Bakura’s shirt tightly begging for him to stop.
“What makes you think I care?” Bakura edged back a little surprised at Seth’s reaction. “I am no longer bound to those memories. I need power Bakura. I need more authority. This world needs a new ruler and I will give it to them.”
Bakura was disgusted. “Isn’t world domination getting a little old?”
“Not to those who desire it.” Seth chuckled. “I will ask you again, and I will let you think on it this time. Will you help me or not? Give me your answer, you can whisper to shadows still, I know you can.” Seth vanished and the room was once again bathed in light from the sun. Ryou sighed heavily in relief and pressed his forehead into the space between Bakura’s shoulder blades. His life would never be normal, never.

Tristan gazed at Duke’s computer screen as he searched up on some of the items. The Silver Mirror seemed like an ordinary mirror to him, until he read about it. “This is some pretty intense stuff Tristan.” Duke whispered opening the window on the pendant. “Apparently this item, if worn by someone, will allow them to cleanse their soul of impurities. It will bring forth their faults and make the wearer see what they had done.”
“Hopefully no one will put it on.” Tristan whispered slumping in his seat. The room was hot. “Can I open the damn window?” Duke waved his hand and Tristan went to open one.
“How’s Yugi’s grandfather?”
“He’s fine.” Tristan grunted as he opened the window. “Hoping Yugi will come back safe and sound.”
Duke nodded in agreement. “Why did Yugi bring Tea with him?”
“Question I will never know the answer to,” Tristan admitted scratching his head. “She likes Yami too.”
“Does she know that Yugi likes him?” Duke asked annoyed.
“Probably not, I don’t think she even accepted the fact that Yami was having some ‘fun’ with Seto,” Tristan said.
“I’m sorry to say it, but that whole friendship thing she did. That mark on your hand…like, what the hell?” Tristan shrugged.
“She’s just that kind of person-‘I will brand you with permanent marker signifying friendship’-the fucking thing will still wash off. I don’t know. She’s still, a good friend…it’s just that this whole thing with Yami is going to cause some bad feelings between her and Yugi. When that happens it’s probably going to happen to me and Joey too because we’ll support him. I feel bad for Mai too in this little…thing. She likes Joey.” Tristan finished and took a deep breath.
“Why? What’s up with Joey?”
“He’s in love with CEO-blivious.” Tristan said crossing his arms. “Why? I have no clue.”
“That’s an interesting pairing though.” Duke said rising from his seat and straddled Tristan’s thighs.
“I’ve been told we’re an interesting pairing.” Tristan mumbled against Duke’s warm lips. Moaning as the soft tongue plunged deeply into his mouth Tristan smoothed his hands over Duke’s back.

Malik yawned widely as he headed towards his room. Ra he was bored. Not only that but he was sad, he was craving Bakura. Crawling into his bed Malik collapsed onto his stomach and lay there for Ra knows how long. He wanted him back. Shaking his head furiously Malik swiped his remote from the nightstand and flicked on the TV. Wherever Bakura was right now, Malik scoffed at him and cursed his every step. He could have at least explained where the hell he was going and why.

Ryou lay on his couch his arm draped over his face shielding his eyes from the ceiling light. He was too lazy to walk over to the wall and switch it off. “What happened when Atem sacrificed himself, Bakura?” Ryou asked making his dark jump.
Bakura cleared his throat not really wanting to talk about the memory. Sighing heavily he rubbed his face. “Why did I leave Malik…”
“Good question, you’re bugging me. And you probably pissed him off too.” Ryou grumbled. “Now tell me what the heck happened.”
“Atem sacrificed himself to stop the shadows from drifting into this world. His soul-.”
“I know all that!” Ryou snapped looking angrily over at Bakura. “What did Seth have to do with it? Why did he stab him?” Bakura’s mouth shut quickly and he looked away. “What happened Bakura?!”
“I don’t want to talk about it!” Bakura yelled back. “It’s not exactly something I can just come out and talk about. With a past like mine would you really want me to tell you what happened to that blasted pharaoh?!” Ryou groaned heavily and rolled into the couch.
Ryou spoke softly, “you helped, didn’t you?” Bakura smacked his forehead.
“I…” Bakura bit his lip hard. “Only a little bit.” Ryou sighed.
“Meaning you had something to do with it, but, from the sidelines.” Bakura rolled his eyes. Only Ryou, besides Malik, knew him this well, sometimes it scared him.
“Ryou, I am a new person. I’m not who I was then.” Bakura said oddly sad. “Please let me move on.” Ryou spun around and faced him.
“Is this why you’re trying to help Yugi now?” Bakura nodded and Ryou smiled a small smile. “I’m proud of you. Now turn off the damn ceiling light and put on some lamps. I have a headache. You can shut up too because your voice gets annoying after a while.” Bakura scoffed but set out to do the menial task.
“You’re so demanding, is this why you don’t have a lover yet?” Ryou’s face tinted pink. “You do?”
“Leave me alone!” Ryou yelled covering his face with a pillow. Bakura just laughed and picked up a book.
“Ryou’s in love. Wow.” Ryou could not understand why Bakura was so amused by this.

Duke’s fists clenched tightly beside his head. He shut his eyes tight as Tristan continued to thrust hard and fast into his body which was bent over the desk. His body was slick with sweat and his need was burning aching to be touched. Duke moaned loudly as Tristan slid over his prostate and glorious pleasure shot up his spin, white blinded his vision. “Tristan…nngh, so good…” He groaned bucking his hips back. “Please Tristan, I need to come.” Duke begged the searing feeling of eminent release breathtaking.
Tristan groaned into Duke’s ear as he bit his soft lobe. He reached around his lover and began to fist his hard arousal. Duke’s moans grew louder filling his ears with delicious sounds. Soon Tristan found Duke releasing over his hand and clenching all around his cock forcing him to come, coating his lover’s walls. Duke collapsed a little his legs trembling from his orgasm. For a few minutes Tristan rested himself in that heat loving the feel before removing himself and helping Duke to stand. Kissing him soundly on the lips Tristan exhaled heavily through his nose. “That was so good.”
Duke tsked and wrapped his arms about Tristan’s neck gingerly. “Good and messy, lets go shower.” Tristan smiled and kissed him once more before being dragged off to the bathroom.

Malik drifted into the kitchen in search of his sister. He found her in the living room instead and sighed while plopping himself down next to her. She held out her arm and he leaned in against her. “I miss him…” Isis nodded in understanding and ran her fingers through her brother’s hair softly.
“He’ll come back. Will you forgive him?” Malik found himself falling asleep as she continually brushed her fingers through his hair.
“If he apologizes sincerely to me, maybe…” Malik yawned. Looking down at her book he asked her to read some to him. She did, and did so until he was fast asleep.
Isis smiled fondly. “He will return to you.”
Hope you enjoyed :D...back to Yugi and his time traveling crew next chappie.
