Chapter 9 is here! So please come near! Ha ha. That was corny. Anyways, welcome to the 9th chapter
of this story. Thanks for all the hits and reviews. I love you all for it!! Today...what do I want to give
you today? Ok, let's just make this a filler...until next time. (insert evil laugh)

Chapter 9: Feelings of Love

"About time the two of you came out. I started to come in." Kaiba says as we emerge from the
bathroom.

"Oh...sorry about that. We were talking." Jou says to him.

"That must have been one hell of a conversation." Atemu says. "What did you talk about?"

"None of your business!" I say in defense.

"Must have been something about Anzu-chan." Atemu says teasingly.

If looks could kill, may this look I'm giving him strike him down.

"So, I have to be going now. Atemu, don't forget to stop by and get your stuff from my house." I say
as I leave Kaiba's room.

I put my shoes on and go home. When I get there, the house is empty, except for a note...

'Yugi, go into the shop.'

I wonder who wrote this...looks like dad's handwriting.

I go in the shop and my mom is stocking shelves with the latest Duel Monsters booster packs.

"Why did you lie Yugi?" mom says.

"I'm sorry mom. I had somewhere to go that I didn't want everyone to know."

"So, your personal thing was more important than Kaiba's day of mourning?"

"That's where I went, to Kaiba Manor."

"So, you had to be better than the others and go before them."

"No, okaa-san, it's not like that."

"Tell me why. Why did you do that to them and then lie on your father and I?"

"Gomen nasai."

"I know you didn't mean any harm and had a good reason. Atemu called me and explained everything. So,
it's ok."

So, he is good for something... But what did he say?

"Atemu wants to spend the night again with you. I talked to his parents earlier and it's fine with your dad
and I if you want to go and stay the night with the Ikhras sometime."

"Thanks okaa-san."

"One more thing before you leave. I suggest you call Anzu. She seemed very upset that you broke a
date with her today."

Anzu! I completely forgot about her!

"Arigatou okaa-san!" I say running to her and kissing her on the cheek. "You and dad are the best!"

"I know."

I run directly to my room and grabbed the phone. I called Anzu, but no answer... Damn, I bet she's mad
at me. I got to make it up to her somehow. I'll buy her something. To make up for the missed date.

'knock knock'

"Come in."

My door opens and the top of a head sticks in...oh great...Atemu.

"Come on in Atemu." I reluctantly say.

He comes in and shuts the door. He stands in front of me and smiles. Not his classic smile, but a purely
happy smile. A smile I had never seen from him. This is scary...

"Did you miss me Yugi?"

I was absoultely happy you wasn't here.

"Iya."

"Aww, Yugi." He says pouting playfully. "Even after all we've been through, you didn't miss me."

"I see someone's in a happy mood. What happened?"

"Oh, nothing happened. Not yet at least."

I...don't want to do this anymore.

"I'm so glad that we have this chance to get to know each other like we have Yugi. You have some
wonderful friends."

"What did you do to them?"

"Nothing. We all did the vision thingy I do. They loved it. Especially Anzu. She told me that her vision
was of you and her."

Really...

"Doesn't that make you feel guilty?"

What is he going on about?

"I know what your vision was. It was of me and you wasn't it. I already know that you wish to do what
we did, only longer and with much more love."

Have I become an open book? Everyone's reading me too well lately. Maybe I need to learn to give Kaiba's
ice-like glare.

"You remember what was said during your vision? I meant every word of it."

Huh... how did he know?!

"Didn't I tell you before that we're connected, mind, body, and soul. Sometimes I can see the world
through your eyes. I interfered with your vision a bit. You're the only person I can do it with. Just like
the private conversations we have. We don't talk aloud, it's our minds talking to each other. It's like we
have some type of mind-link with each other."

That still doesn't explain why we can do it...

"I don't know Yugi, it's like we're meant to be. It was meant for my dad's job to transfer him from
Alexandria to Domino City 20 years ago. It was meant for me to be born here in this city. It was meant
for us to have that kiss at that moment that day in the gym. Even though we'd been in school
together most of our lives, I slowly began to feel myself become more and more attracted to you."

"But the way you did it Atemu. Why?"

"Why the kiss? I don't know what compelled me that day in the gym. The time seemed perfect."

"But you said nothing else to me for 2 weeks. Why?"

"I had to go and slap myself around to bring myself back to reality. I had to mentally punish myself
for doing something so stupid." he says looking down at his feet.

"It wasn't stupid Atemu." I say lifting his chin.

"It wasn't?"

"Iya. It was perfect." I say moving closer to him and kissing him.

I don't know what pushed me to do it...for me to make the first move. Usually it's Atemu that makes
the first move. But tonight...I did.

It felt right to do so.

... (AN: Muhahahaha! No sour stuff here!)

For about a month or so, Atemu and I have grown closer than ever. Anzu and I you ask. Yea, we're still
seeing each other. I know it's wrong, but since that night of the tournament, Atemu and I haven't done
anything sexually. We kiss...a lot. That's all. But only in private.

To make things even more complicated, Anzu and Atemu are now good friends. He hangs out a lot
with us, except when Anzu and I are out on dates.

Jou thinks that Atemu and I don't do anything together because of how strong my relationship with
Anzu has become over the past few weeks. But knowing Jounouchi, he knows that something is going
on between us.

I know I need to break it off with one of them, but now I'm truly in hell's creek. My love for Anzu has
grown deeper since the tournament. Deeper since I had that talk with Jounouchi. I was going to break
it off with her and just be with Atemu, but I couldn't. Something in my heart pained every time I
thought of doing it.

*Sigh* On another note...

Tomorrow starts the national tournament. Duelists from across Japan will come to Domino City to
compete for spots in the Worldwide Invitational Tournament. Of course the winners from nationals
will automatically get invites to WIT.

The night before the tournament, I'm at Atemu's. We're sitting on the floor of his bedroom,
brainstorming all possible deck combinations from the cards we both have. Of course, neither one of
us is telling each other's deck we're using for the tournamet.

"How about this combo Atemu?" I say picking up Robbin' Goblin and Magic Thorn.

"Yea, that would be a great combo to use in a beat down deck. But add this to it." he says picking up
Coffin Seller. "800 life points gone in an instant. That would be great."

"Hmmm..maybe I should use that in the tournament tomorrow." I say jokingly.

"Yea, the Magicians Deck apprentice will not use a card combo like that."

"Apprentice?" I say in awe. "If I'm the apprentice, then who's the master?"

I already know what he's about to say...

"Me. Of course. The one who beat you in the city tournament with Black Luster Soldier. And he's not even a magician."

"And that would not make you the master of magician cards." I say in retailiation.

"Of course it would. My best cards weren't needed to defeat you in the duel. I threw anything out there
and it creamed you."

"Whatever Atemu."

We argued more and more until I noticed the time... 2:46a.

"I think it's way past time for bed Atemu." I say as I start to pick up the cards.

"What do you mean?" he asks, then takes notice of the clock.

"Ohh..yea. I see what you mean. We have to be there at 7:30a for registration and deck verification."

"I'm glad this year's tournament is being held at KC Duel Dome. I almost didn't make it to last
year's tournament in Tokyo due to heavy traffic."

"My parents and I stayed the night in the hotel that was near the arena. So we just walked over the
next morning."

"Wait...my parents tried to book a room there, for the simple fact that it would take forever because
of traffic. The desk clerk told us that the hotel had been booked for that weekend for months."

"It helps when your father is a hotel agent. He's able to get a room in any hotel in the world no matter
what. Even if it is booked to the hilt, he can still get a room."

"I forgot about that." I say standing up and stretching.

Glad I already showered...or else I'd be up another hour or so. I throw the covers back in Atemu's bed
and hop in. He puts the cards into the case and turns the light off. I feel him hop over me and lay next
to me.

"Oyasumi, Yugi." he says as I feel an arm wrap lovingly around me.

"Oyasumi, Atemu." I say closing my eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
