Chap 9: Tears of a shadow
At the clinic Yuugi lay in a peaceful sleep on a medical bed.
"How's he doing Needle?" Wheels asked.
"I'm with a patient please be quiet,." He said to wheels then jumped back when he saw Atemu enter the room."YAI, What's he doing up?" Needle shrieked.
"I'm here to see my Aibou." Atemu walked past him and too the bed where the little one lay."Leave, I want to be alone."
"No hanky panky, this is a clinic for gods sakes." Needle said, leading Wheels and Steel out of the room leaving Atemu and Yuugi alone.
"My Yuugi....My sweet Aibou....."He swept the blond of his hair from his face Yuugi's bright shiney eyes opened as if waking from a wonderful dream. He looked up at Atemu and became nervous that he was once again towering over him.
"Yami...."He said unsure of him. Atemu leaned down to Yuugi's ear and wispered to him.
"I'm sorry." He said, not really sure about what's been going on since they met up with Cleo.
"Let me see your eyes." Yuugi said looking at his half open eyes wich opened a bit wider. "You look...Human...Oh Yami!" Yuugi bolted into his arms. "I know.. about earlier, it wasn't your fault...It's Cleo, she made you go crazy."Yuugi cried. "I hated to see you like that."
"It's over now...About earlier. Did I...Hurt you that badly?" Atemu didn't want to talk about it, just wanted to make sure he was ok.
"You hurt me bad, but worse when you..." Yuugi cried. "You violated me." Atemu sat on the bed next to him and held him close.
"I promise you, If I ever do anything like that to you again, I will end myself, just like I did in the past."
"That's the worst pain ever, You not here with me." Yuugi clamped on Atemu nearly choking him.
"In that case...I'll never leave you, my love." He closed his eyes and held Yuugi with warmth and security. Atemu's eyes poored a river of tears down his face.
"Don't cry Darkness."
"I can't...What I did to you is unforgivable. Nothing I do will ever...."He burried his face into Yuugi's cherub cheek.
"I forgive you, please stop crying." Yuugi pet Atemu's neck and shoulders as far as he could reach. "Lay down with me. I hate being alone in this room." Yuugi said laying down. Atemu took a minute then layed down by his side, their eyes not leaving eachothers sight. "You look terrible, get some rest with me." Yuugi cuddled with Atemu.
"Your ok, you don't feel wrong laying next to me?" Atemu asked.
"I'm fine Yami, your back to normal, and this time...I wanted to tell you something..."
