Okay, I have a pairing problem…some say R/YY and Y/YB some say YY/Y and
R/YB and I have no clue on which one to choose because

Okay, I have a pairing problem…some say R/YY and Y/YB some
say YY/Y and R/YB and I have no clue on which one to choose because some want
something new and others what something old. I’ll pick pairings soon enough but
I need to know if (later once everything is settled) if you want all four to
get together, tell me.

Pretty please don’t criticize my writing, reviews only keep
me going if they positive and I usually writ these stories around midnight so
don’t expect too much out of me.

Anyway I hope you enjoy chapter 9 of “Father, Mother, Lover”

I am using the name Yaten Bakura for Ryou’s fathers name
(Hato-Chiisai, hope you don’t mind ;)

 

 

I was afraid you'd hit me if I’d spoken up

I was afraid of your physical strength

I was afraid you’d hit below the belt

I was afraid of your sucker punch

I was afraid of you reducing me
I was afraid of your alcohol breath

I was afraid of your complete disregard for
me

I was afraid of your temper

I was afraid of handles being flown off of

I was afraid of holes being punched into
walls

I was afraid of your testosterone

I was afraid of verbal daggers

I was afraid of the calm before the storm

I was afraid for my own bones

I was afraid of your seduction

I was afraid of your coercion

I was afraid of your rejection
I was afraid of your intimidation

I was afraid of your punishment

I was afraid of your icy silences
I was afraid of your volume

I was afraid of your manipulation

I was afraid of your explosions

 

You were my best friend
you were my lover
you were my mentor
you were my brother
you were my partner
you were my teacher
you were my very own sympathetic character
you were my keeper
you were my anchor
you were my family
you were my savior

And therein lay the issue

 

And therein lay the problem

 

 

Ryou wanted to
cry he wanted to scream out in rage and pain and anger but he stayed silent as
the court ruled in favor of his father. He heard Yami and Bakura scream in
protest, saying things that were horrible and true but they fell upon deaf ears
no one cared…he would be taken home with his father. Why? Because Ryou wanted
to protect Yugi…

 

~FLASHBACK~

 

“Tell us the truth Ryou, that you love your father and you
want to apologize for hurting him…you want to go home.” He said staring Ryou in
the eyes

Ryou was immobile he opened his mouth to speak and was about
to scream no, but he looked to his father and stopped himself, his father was
looking at Yugi with malice in hies, es, and then he looked back to Ryou with a
look he knew all to well. He wanted Yugi as well; Ryou knew that he could at
least buy Yugi and himself some time if he said yes…he could at least warn
Yugi. Ryou looked to his friend as he
lowered his head and locked the door to his own jail cell.

“Hai…I want to go home.” Ryou said not looking at anyone

 

~END FLASHBACK~

 

With one simple sentence Ryou had locked himself in a prison
and thrown away the key, and yes he hated himself for it because Yami, Bakura,
and Yugi wouldn’t know why…but more importantly they know the truth about his
father and Ryou dreaded what was in store for him once he got home.

 

Time flew by for him everything had happened so fast they
stopped by to get his things and they were heading to his fathers place now.
Ryou sat terrified in the back seat of his father’s car.

“I told you that you could never escape from me, but you
still d.” d.” His father growled angrily.

“Onegai father…” Ryou began but Yaten cut him off

“Shut up! You have caused more trouble for me in the past
few months than anyone has ever caused me! Not to mention all the profit I lost
because of you!” He spat “You think your protecting that little friend of yours
but I’ve got news for you all this did buy buy him time!” He breathed

“Father onegai just leave Yugi out of this! He has nothing
to do with any of !” R!” Ryou begged

“Yes he does my son, you told him everything about me…once
me and his father get a hold of him he will wish he never met you.” He said
wrathfully

“Iie! Please father!” Ryou begged but in vain

 

I know evil parents get little Ryou…sniffle, but as a
warning the next chapter if not the next few will be very angsty! So please
read with caution ahead of time, ~don’t flame!~
