Chapter 9: An Uninvited Guest

"Damn!" says Jou as he pushes past Izono and goes into the livioom.oom. He saw the door
close and someone carrying the unconscious body.

Jou opens the door only to see the two disappear...literally.

"What the hell??" says Jou as he can't believe what he just saw.

"What's wrong Katsuya?" asks Kaiba as he looks out the door.

"They disappeared."

"They?! There was more than one?" asks Kaiba.

"Yea...the Yugi look alike and then one who looks like Malik from the back. He was carrying
the other guy." replies Jou.

"I don't see anything. You're seeing things." Kaiba says turning towards Izono. "Was there
a man here?"

"Hai Seto-sama. He looked just like Yugi-sama. He was badly wounded. Katsuya-sama asked
me to watch him while he went to come get you. I watched him, but then he just disappeared.
He was sitting here." replies Izono pointing to the blood stains on the sofa.

Kaiba looks at the blood-stained sofa, then at Jou.

"What?! I beat the hell out of him. He deserved it."

Kaiba smiles a little, something that he hadn't done in almost a month.

(In another location...an apartment somewhere in Domino City)
"Damn, what happened to him Marik?" asks Akeifa.

"I don't know. When und und him he was like this. Heal him."

Akeifa nods, then chants. The bruises, cuts, and swellnes completely diminish from his body. He
sits up and looks around.

"Where am I?" asks Atem.

"Back home. What happened?" asks Marik.

"I was coming back here, when the guy in the video with Seto ran into me. Then he beat the
hell out of me and that's all I remember."

"Damn Atem. Aren't you supposed to be the strong one?" scolds Akeifa.

"Hell he caught me off guard." replies Atem.

"We shouldn't worry about that now. We still have to find out when we're killing Seto. We
can't let him reawaken in this world!" says Marik.

"The sooner, the better." says Atem as he cracks his knuckles.

(Malik's Apartment)
Malik and Ryou are re-watching the video for the millionth time.

"Hey Malik, did you ever think that those two would ever be toge?" a?" asks Ryou.

"Never! They used to fight all the time. They hid their relationship well. If I ever have a
relationship I want to hide, I'll ask them how to do it." Malik replies laughing.

"I talked to Yugi yesterday and he said that Kaiba isn't doing so well since him and Mokuba
are seperated." says Ryou.

"Hasn't Jou been over to see him?" asks Malik.

"Yea. He has. Jou's not even affecting him. Kaiba's taking it very hard. It's as if someone
is out to destroy Kaiba from the inside out."

'Knock knock'

"Who's that Malik? I didn't know you invited someone else over?" Ryou says stopping the
DVD.

"I didn't!" replies Malik as he gets up to answer the door.

He opens the door and gasps at the person standing before him.

"Ma..rik..."

"Hey Malik, who is it?" asks Ryou as he walks to the door. He sees the man standing before
Malik. "Marik! What are you doing here?!"

"Can't I come over to visit my twin brother sometime?" asks Marik as he walks past Malik
and stands in front of Ryou.

"What do you want Marik?" asks Malik as he shuts the door.

"I came to see you brother." replies Marik. "And I see you even have Ryou-chan here."

"What has brought you here from no where? I haven't seen you in over a year." asks
Malik.

"Ahh...heard about what's been going on with Kaiba. Decide to come and see the ruckus for
myself. Get a good laugh in before I go back to Egypt. Nee-san sends her greetings."

"I bet she does. Bet she's even happier to have you out of Cairo for a while." replies
Malik.

"So, what is my dear brother up to? I heard there's a DVD of the hot couple going around. If
I know you, then you have a copy." Marik says going into the den.

"Come out of there Marik!" yells Ryou.

"Ha! Make me!" yells Marik as he presses play on the DVD player.

A very heated Jou and Kaiba scene plays.

"Now this is some good sex! I wouldn't mind being with them for one night." Marik says
laughing.

Malik and Ryou go into the den and sit on the sofa. Marik grabs the remote and starts the
DVD from the beginning.

"Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if the two of you were watching this for some pointers. I know
by now the two of you are fucking around."

"No we're not fucking around Marik. You need to go back to Cairo." Malik says.

"What an ungrateful twin brother I have. Damn, I thought you would be glad to see me dear
brother."

(Kaiba Manor)
Jou watches Kaiba as he talks to Mokuba. He notices Kaiba trying to smile and sound as if
he's ok, but he knows that Kaiba isn't doing well. He's lost a little weight, and his attitude
towards him has reverted back to the past.

Kaiba hangs up the phone and lays back in the bed.

"What are you still doing here? Didn't I tell you to leave?"

"Yea. But that was 9 hours ago. You need to get up and about Seto. I don't know how your
company is still running with you in this condition."

"I'm a professional. I know how to handle personal and business life."

"Oh...ok." Jou says as he lifts the covers and lays next to Kaiba.

"I told you you're not welcome here." scolds Kaiba.

"If I wasn't welcomed here, you have ways to keep me away." replies Jou. "Look here,
you can't be feeling sorry for yourself. We need to be out, trying to find out who that man
was that was carrying Atem."

"Atem? Who's that?"

"Oh, gomen. I forgot to tell you. When I was talking to the guy, he told me namename was
Atem Mutou. I'm going to call and ask Honda or Otogi to look into the school files to see if
they can find some information on him."

"Atem...Mutou. The name sounds familiar somehow."

"Uhh...Seto? Delirious...that's it. You've been cooped up here so much, it's taking it's
effect on you."

Kaiba shakes his head. "Iya, Katsuya. I know that name from somewhere."
