AngelBakuraIshtar45: This one and the next one is not lemon, but I will pose
the option in two more chappies for a lemon.  Ryou and Bakura can’t really
express their love for each other while dad is in the house, but Bakura asks him
what he wants to do. Ryou says he wants Bakura in a physical way.  Lemon or
no lemon: that is question.

Dragonseye: We have a few more chappies before daddy finds out.  It com coming soon.

Diamond: Thankies.  I’m not done with this fic yet.  Too good.

Digi: Psst.. Seto is coming up and he’s talking to Ryou.  I know you
like him, so he has an entire scene coming up!

Fluffcat: Dad is going to be majorly p.o.’d. He thinks his son is perfect and
expects his son to live up to society’s expectations.  Such pressure!

Shimegami: More’s a coming!

Firedraygon97: Nobody said Bakura plays fair. He uses his power when he has
to, usually to defend Ryou. I’m pretty sure servant yamis is done.  If I
continue it, I will let everybody know.

Moonnymh: My cliffies are soooo good! MWAHAHAHAHAHHA!

GOC: Thanks for reviewing both of my stories!  I wanted to do something
different and I’m glad you liked it.  I hope you liked servant yamis, too.
It’s a good one.

Dinner and a Movie

            Bakura
cooked dinner that night for the family.  Ryou was doing his father's
laundry to help.  Ryou carried the basket behind Bakura.  Just because
they couldn't get caught didn't mean Ryou stopped playing with Bakura.
Ryou crossed behind Bakura with the basket and "accidently" brushed Bakura's
back with his hand gently.  Bakura and Ryou turned to each other
grinning.  Ryou waved his hand with their wedding ring at him and Bakura
brought his ring from under his shirt and dangled it in a silent "I love
you."  It didn't bother Bakura that Ryou wanted to be so quiet about their
relationship around his father.  For Bakura, it was a thrill, the
excitement of secrecy.  The thrill of evasion never failed Bakura proving
to him that he was still a tomb-robber at heart.  Birds were meant to
fly.  Fish were meant to swim.  He was made to evade and keep his
personal life under a veil of obscurity.
            Bakura
powdered the beef and put it in the stew.    Bakura heard someone
come from behind him.
"Bakura?"  Ryou's dad walked up behind him and he felt himself
tense.  Maybe he saw their silent declaration!
"Yes?"
His father came nose-to-nose with him.  "Are you beating my son
again?"
"No. A bully got to him.  He was lucky I was there with him.  That
bastard gave me a good hit, too.  My head is still hurting from it."

"I'm concerned about him.  I don't anyone to hurt him."
"I keep a good eye on him, but I feel there is no way to erase the damage I
did to him.  My apologies were enough for him, but I am trying to make it
better."
The father looked at Bakura suspiciously.  "I just pray to Ra that you
are telling me the truth."
Bakura blinked.  "I am."
"Good. I want to make everything clear on that.  We don't want any
misunderstandings between us."  Ryou's father left the kitchen.  Ryou
was right.  Secrecy was the best policy now.  The father was
protective of Ryou and had every right to be.  Ryou was perfect in his
e&nbs  Bakura eavesdropped on many conversations Ryou had with his father
over the phone.  It wasn't surprising to him that Ryou was in tears over
the abuse.  His father took the next flight home and confronted the evil
spirit.  Bakura turned back to the stew and grabbed the wedding ring
through the shirt.
            Ryou
returned to him and stirred the stew.  He sniffed it and licked his
lips.  "That smells really good!  You did a great job, yami!
Yami?"  Bakura stared into the boiling pot of gravy.  Ryou leaned over
to him.  "What's wrong, Bakura? Are you not feeling well?  You're
dreadfully pale."  Ryou put his hand on Bakura's cheek.  "I can finish
this if you're sick."
"Nothing. I'm fine."
"Yami, you are lying to me.  I can always tell when you lie."
Bakura looked at the hikari and released the ring.
"Your father saw your bruises and accused me of beating you again."
"That's all? I'll talk to him later, Bakura.  He doesn't know about
us.  He has every right to be suspicious."
Bakura looked down in shame as if he were the one who caused the bruises.
"You were right, Ryou.  Keeping this a secret is the best way to go.
I want him to trust me first."
"Exactly. Trust isn't won overnight.  It takes a long time to rebuild
trust.  I told him you were treating me better, but I guess actions speak
louder than words."  Ryou put his hand on his yami's shoulder.  "I'll
talk to him, yami.  I love you."
Bakura smiled as Ryou carved the read for dinner.
            At dinner,
Ryou's dad complimented Bakura on the stew.  "Bakura is a great cook,
dad.  He used to hate doing it, but he's gotten so good at it!"
"I can think of a few other things he hated," his father glared at
Bakura.
"Father, really.  Doesn't Bakura making dinner prove to you he's no
longer the man he used to be?"
Ryou's father looked at Bakura.  "Well," Ryou's eye went wide.  He
really wanted father and yami to get along.  "He did make a good
dinner."  His father returned to eating.  Ryou looked at his
plate.  He looked up at Bakura when he felt a hand rubbing his thigh gently
and squeezing it for reassurance.
            After
dinner, Ryou's dad sat in his favorite armchair and seemed to sink into
it.  He let out a sigh as Ryou brought him his slippers.  Ryou chose a
comedy movie and sat on the couch.  "Bakura! Is that popcorn ready
yet?  I better go help him, dad. I'll be back. Don't bother getting
up."  Ryou ran into the kitchen finding Bakura skimming the touch pad of
the microwave.
"These modern contraptions, Ryou!  Why can't you moderners make
everything simple?"  These statements never failed to make Ryou
laughed.  The yamis for the most part struggled with modern
conveniences.  Bakura's mortal enemy was the microwave.  He dreaded
heating anything without fire.  If it couldn't be cooked by fire, it was a
challenge.  Marik hated the washing and drying machines.  He insisted
on washing his clothes in the back yard with a tub of water since the river was
some distance away from his house.  Yami Yugi dreaded Yugi's CD player and
even tried to mind crush the vacuum sweeper calling it a vicious beast.
The hikari's laughed at their ancient counterparts' helplessness.
            Ryou
walked up to microwave and pointed at the "popcorn" button.  "See this
pretty little gray button that says 'popcorn?' "
Bakura narrowed his eyes at him.
"Press it."
Bakura didn't move his eyes from him.
"Press the pretty little button, Bakura," Ryou laughed.  Ryou took
Bakura's finger and pressed it to the button."  Ryou kissed Bakura's finger
that touched the button.  "See?  That wasn't so bad, was it?"
Bakura took Ryou's hand and kissed it.  "You are such a tease!  I
thought you didn't want to be caught."
"I don't, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves."  Ryou ran his
hand on Bakura's chest.
"You keep this up and our little secret won't be secret for too much
longer."  Ryou laughed quietly and poured the drinks.
            Ryou
brought the drinks to his father.  "Bakura, you done with that snack,
boy?"
Bakura cringed.  For him, nothing was more irritating than being called
'boy.'  That was all he was called as a servant child.  He tried to
swallow his pride--along with the painful memories.  "Almost done!"
Bakura put the popcorn in three bowls and added extra butter to all of
them.  Bakura sat beside Ryou and gave Ryou's father the largest bowl. Ryou
put the tape in and sat on the opposite side of Bakura, but not too far
away.  During the movie, they kept one hand in plain view while the other
hands held onto each other out of the father's line of sight.
