I Never Knew-Chapter 9

Hi and welcome, to chapter 9 to “I Never Knew” I hope you
like it! Oh and just so you know I DO NOT accept flames, I got a particularly
nasty review from someone telling me all my fics suck…what did I do to deserve
that? I do not force anyone to read my fics and if you don’t like them
whatever, that’s fine by me, but obviously from all the reviews I get the odds
are for my writing not against it so please keep your selfish comments to
yourself I really don’t want to hear what you think. I am sure no one cares
what you think anyway, so why not just keep your mouth shut. That is directed
only to one person do not take it the wrong way he/she knows who he/she is and
I hope you don’t look down upon me for what I just said.
Although Ryou resisted the motion of going home with Seto he
gave up eventually as he rode to his mansion in silence, curled up in the
corner of the limo. Seto felt so horrible, Ryou wasn’t one to lie but he
couldn’t understand Yami’s actions in the slightest and he didn’t have to see
Yami hit him to know what he had done to the pale youth. Ryou hugged himself
unconsciously he felt guilty for what he had said to Yugi, who probably hated
him right now, he didn’t mean to say those things to him he really didn’t he
just had so much bent up frustration and pain and…it all exploded at the most
inappropriate of times. He sniffled slightly as he pulled his arms around
himself tighter as if seeking comfort within himself. Seto saw Ryou curl into a
tighter ball and sighed heavily, he wanted to comfort Ryou but he was afraid he
would hurt him if he touched him anywhere, he moved closer to Ryou placing a
hand on his head as he gently stroked his cheek lovingly and looked at him
sympathetically.
“I’m sorry…” Seto said softly
Ryou shook his head “So am I…” Ryou said trailing off as he
leaned onto Seto wrapping his arms around Seto’s neck seeking any kind of
comfort. Seto smiled and wrapped his arms around Ryou’s slim waist hoping that
he didn’t hurt him, he wanted to protect Ryou as much as he could, and that’s
all that mattered to Seto at the moment. Ryou laid down in his lap, he decided
it best to go to his country home instead of going back to his normal mansion
where Yami could find him. Seto smiled as he stroked Ryou’s hair who currently
rested his head in his lap. Seto hummed softly to himself a song called
Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright. Ryou knew that song well as he began to sing
the lyrics softly to himself. Seto smiled as they begun to take turns with the
lyrics of the song.
Ryou: “I’ve heard there was a secret cord,
That
David Played and it pleased the lord,
But you don’t really care for music
do you?”
Seto: “It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall the major lift,
The baffled king composes

Ryou: “Hallelujah… Hallelujah…

Seto: “She tied you to a kitchen chair,
She broke your throne; she cut your

And from your lips, she drew the

Ryou: “Hallelujah… Hallelujah…
Maybe I’ve

room, I have walked this floor

Seto: “I've
seen your flag on the marble arch

There was a

Yugi cried into his as the words Ryou had said played over
and over in his mind.
“Fine…I hate you…” Ryou said softly letting his gaze fall to
the floor “Is that what you wanted to her? That I utterly and totally despise
you that you are the one that has caused me so much pain and devastation than I
ever thought humanly possible? Or was that what you wanted to hear? Because
it’s true! All this shit! All this pain its all your fault!” Ryou screamed
Yugi cried until he couldn’t stand the sound of his own
cries. His face was streaked with tears and his eyes were red because of all
the crying. Yami kissed him on the forehead. Yugi frowned he wondered how Yami
could stilre are about him so much when he rejected him for someone who didn’t
even care the slightest for him. He pulled away when Yami tried to embrace him,
he knew it hurt Yami to see him like this but it didn’t matter he had ruined a
perfectly good friendship all for the sake of love and now Ryou hated him and
would never even like him as a friend anymore. He sighed and could feel Yami’s
anger as he listened to Yugi’s thoughts about Ryou.
“Why do you still care about him so much?” Yami growled
surprising Yugi
“He’s my friend Yami…he may hate me but no matter what I can
never hate him.” Yugi said softly curious on Yami’s angry words.
“I won’t let him just get away with saying such horrible
things to you! He had no right to be so cruel to you.” Yami said
“I told him to say it though, it wasn’t his fault at all
Yami…I refuse to put blame on him when I told him to say it.” Yugi said
“You may not pass judgment but I do! That was completely
uncalled for, he had no right!” Yami screamed although not directed to Yugi
“I don’t care what you think Yami, he had every right to
yell at me like he did and I forgive him even if he doesn’t want forgiveness or
deserve it he has it!” Yugi said
“Why?!” Yami yelled
“Because that’s what friends do! They forgive each other!”
Yugi yelled back
Yami quickly closed his mind link and went downstairs. Yami
shook his head in frustration, how could Yugi still possible care for that
miserable little whelp? What the hell was wrong with him, couldn’t he just
accept love from someone willing to give it to him rather than put himself
through pain and humiliation for someone who didn’t care? It didn’t make any
sense in Yami’s mind and it tortured him to no end that, Yugi, the one person
he truly loved didn’t love him back and loved as selfish whore instead…Yami
growled and stormed away from the game shop. Yugi watched Yami storm away from
the shop and curled up in a ball crying silently to himself once more.
I know it was kind of short but work with me here cause I
can do nothing about it, I’m trying to do my best but one particular review
made my self esteem drop to about zero so I’m not to happy right now. Thanks to
