Rescue and the Death of Pegasus
Yami: Well Zypher’s not going to be here until the end notes but she presents you with chapter 9 of Demon’s Myth of Domino City.
Chapter 9
Bakura and Crimson landed in the forest area surrounding the castle and Yugi got off Crimson’s back and went up to the edge of the forest where he spotted a large crowd going into the castle. ‘ I wonder what’s going on here?’ Yugi thought before turning to Bakura. “You sure you can sense Yami and Aqua somewhere in there?” Yugi asked and they nodded.
“Be careful Yugi, I don’t know what going on in there but there’s thinthing off about it.” Crimson said and Yugi nodded before going into the growing crowd and into the castle.

Yugi got a good seat in the front row of the crowd and looked around to see if he could find Yami or Aqua but all he saw were the cages covered over with a sheets and the sound of harsh growling. The lights dimmed and a spotlight came on, showing Pegasus in the center ring.
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Today I have a special treat for all of you. I know everyone in Domino City has heard the myth about the demons well today I have a few of them myself and they would be glad to see you.” Pegasus said and they crowd clapped, all but Yugi who was wondering what he mean about the demons he caught.
“Now behold, live demons!” Pegasus said and the sheets covering the cages were lifted off and revealed the four demons and Yugi gasped when he saw Yami and Aqua but the looked different, more untamed then their more gentler selves. The four demons roared and the crowd gasped seeing the live demons.
“Now I know they look very dangerous and untamed but they won’t hurt anyone under my commands.” He then went to Yami and Aqua’s cages and opened them letting them out and with obedience, walked out of the cages and sat in the center ring, their dulled eyes looking at the crowd before stopping upon Yugi. Yugi gasped again whe sae saw their dulled colored eyes staring right at him.
Pegasus walked in front of them with two chained collars and they lowered their heads to place them on their necks. He then turned back to the crowd and smiled. “ Now who would like to be a volunteer to meet these two demons up close?” He asked and he saw many hands raised all except for Yugi and he chose him which shocked him but he then thought this was his only chance to see if he can get Yami and Aqua back so heked ked up to Pegasus.
“Ok, now this should be easy, all I want you to do is balance yourself on the hybrid’s head while he is balancing on the ball.” Pegasus said and Yugi nodded, walking up to Yami who lowered his head down for Yugi to climb up which he did and walked over to the large ball placed there and got on it, balancing himself with ease.
Yugi watched, seeing if he could find any way to bring the two out of the trance they were placed under but didn’t see no way of doing it so he just went with the trick Pegasus was doing to Yami, feeling out of place by the crowd’s cheers and laughter as Aqua walked up to them, Pegasus keeping a good grip on the chain.
Pegasus commanded Yami to lower Yugi down to the ground and he did so, nudging Yugi’s side as a gesture to follow his and Aqua’s cage after the show and Yugi nodded quietly before going back to his seat. The show went on a bit more, Pegasus putting Yami and Aqua back into their cages and let Seto and Ruby out, doing more tricks with them before ending the show and had the four demons placed back where they were before the show started and Yugi sneak down and followed the cages before anyone could see him.

The sheets were pulled off again and Kemo took two buckets filled with blood and flesh and placed one of them in Yami and Aqua’s cage while the other was in Seto and Ruby’s cage. Seto and Ruby started to eat but Yami or Aqua didn’t touch theirs, they were waiting for the boy they saw at the show to come in.
Yugi came in quietly, making sure no one was there and walked up to Yami and Aqua’s cage. Yami got up and moved to the bars of the cages and mewled softly, placing a clawed hand through the bars and Yugi grabbed his. “What did they do to you Yami?” Yugi asked quietly, a tear coursing down his face.i gei gently wiped it away then looked around before he spotted the keys to his and Aqua’s cage and gently nudged Yugi over to where the keys were.
Yugi picked up the keys quietly and went to go unlock the door to their cage but someone was coming in and he didn’t have enough time to find a place to hide. “Well, well, look what we have here.” Kemo said as he plucked the keys from Yugi’s hands and picked him up, not minding Yami and Aqua’s growling. “You’re not suppose to be here kid now let’s get going.” He said, grabbing Yugi’s arm. He cried out and Yami lashed his tail out through the bars and curled it tightly around Kemo’s neck, growling harshly.
Kemo gasped for breath as he dropped Yugi and the keys to the ground. Yugi grabbed the keys and tried every key and the last key opened to door to their cage and they got out, Yami devouring Kemo whole as Yugi went to unlocked the other cage with Seto and Ruby inside. They came out and nodded their thanks before lowering their head so Yugi can get rid of the collars off their necks.
He did the same for Yami and Aqua and then he went back to the door where the show was held and looked around to make sure there was nobody there then he led them out of the door and outside but there was a few guards blocking the way and Pegasus was in front of them all.
“Well, Yugi, you think you could get away with my demons but too bad, you can’t do so, everyone now knows about them so I will take of my next plan.” A bright glow came from his left eye and the trance the demons were in when Yugi came broke and they became their untamed selves again. ‘Oh no.’ Yugi thought back and then know that standing there wouldn’t help so he went to go tackle Pegasus and surprisingly he knocked him down and the trance was broken once again but their eyes were still dulled in color.
Ruby nodded off to Seto and they went to attack the guards while Yami picked up Yugi and Aqua raised his now spiked tail over Pegasus. “No! You’re supposed to follow my commands, kill the boy!” Pegasus yelled but he rebelled and slammed his tail down on Pegasus. He gurgled as blood seeped out his mouth then his eyes closed, never to be opened again.
He nudged the body and flipped it up into the air, catching and swallowing it once it landed in his mouth, spitting out the golden eye that Pegasus used to control them. Seto and Ruby finished off the last of the guards and then flew up into the air and used a white/red lightning combo to destroy Pegasus Castle. Yami folded his wings over Yugi to block him from flying rock and debris. Yugi looked up and smiled, kissing Yami’s snout. “You may not be in control of yourself but at least you still remember me Yami.” Yugi said.
Yami nodded, showing that he agreed and roared for Aqua, Seto and Ruby so they can leave, curling his tail around Yugi and placed him on his back then he flew off with the other demons behind him.

Seto and Ruby walked out on their own, seeing that nobody is afraid of demons after Pegasus little show the week before he tried to kill everyone using him, Ruby, Yami and Aqua. Seto stopped when he saw a blond boy in the park with a golden yellow furred sphinx. He grabbed Ruby’s tail and yanked him back, making him yelp and glare at him.
He turned Ruby’s head to where he was looking and he sae spe sphinx there and immediately fell in love with him just like Seto did with the blond boy. He nodded to Ruby and they walked over to them, wanting to greet themselves to the two that caught their attention.
