The next day in homeroom news spread about the Valantines dance coming soon.
Jou and Yuugi met in the boys bathroom to talk about it instead of going to
their first class.
Yuugi was very sad but Jou made it worse by telling
him 'He and Anzu' were going.
"Oh really that's great...."
"What's the matter Yuugi?" Jou asked.
"I wish Yami could take me..." He said.
"I'm sorry it worked out like this pal, why
don't you come with me and Anzu, I can get
a date for you, Mai thinks your kinda cute."
"I don't want Mai I want Yami." Yuugi complained.
"It's just a lame dance it doesn't mean anything..."
"I'll think about it." Yuugi said sadly.
"No one gets what they want all the time pal." Jou said.
"I know but, me and Mai at the dance it doesn't sound right,
what if Yami hears about it, he'll think I cheated on him!" Yuugi
worried.
"He'll understand it's just freinds going out." Jou said.
"Mai and I never spoke to eachother! besides she scares me." Yuugi
blushed.
"She's already mad at me for dumping her to go out with Anzu but
she doesn't hold any grudges agaisnt you." Jou explained.
"I'll go with her unless Yami comes back."
"I don't see how that could happen pal." Jou said. It nearly broke
his spirit but he was right.
