A Sunrise to Forget
Yami still waited on his porch for his friends to come back.
"I can't believe this...If only I.." Yami's dog came over to his
side and licked his face. "Hey boy." Yami scratched the dogs
cheeks. He looked at his ankle and used a screw driver to pry
it off quickly and snap it on his dogs collar. "Good boy, who's my
puppy, good boy Spaz." Yami baby talked his dog then let it walk
around the yard. "I won't be gone long but they've been gone too
long." Yami headed out to find them.
Back at the alley way Yami paused when he saw cops everywhere.
He stayed behind a building to hide from them, but he stayed to
see what was going on. He heard cops talking.
"Poor kid, they did a number on him." Said one cop.
"Get an ambulence for them." Said the chief.
"Is that little guy gonna make it?" The cop asked.
"Little one?" Yami thought to himself and started to worry.
"Those street punks fled, I wish we knew wich gang it was so we can book em'."
"They're all the same and hard to get rid of."
"Just like cock roaches." Said the chief. The ambulence was heard coming to the
scene. Yami watched the men pulling stretchers into the back of the vehicle.
"Please don't be them, please don't be them.." Yami wispered to himself as he saw
Yuugi on a stretcher lifted in. "NO!" He gasped. Then he saw Jounichi lifted in with a
gunshot wound to the chest. "JOU!" By the light of the rising sun, his friends were
taken from sight. Yami wanted to run to them but he couldn't risk being seen. One: He
wasn't allowed in the allyways and Two: He didn't want to get blamed for the shooting,
he was a well known gangster.
He didn't have a choice but to go back home. His face paled to see someone standing
behind him. "SPAZ!?" Yami worried. His dog followed him and the tracking braclet was on
his collar. "OH SHIT!" Yami ran home with his loyal dog by his side. "YOUR A DUMB DOG
SPAZ!" Yami yelled at the happy dog running by his side. Once home Yami took the ankle
braclet off the dog and threw it in the dirt. He didn't care about it anymore, he was more
concerned about his friends. He tied up the dog and left. "STAY SPAZ!" He commanded.
Without any regard for his legal conditions he ran to the hospital to check on his friends.....
At the hospital he had to wait in the waiting room while they were being treated in the
emergency room.
