Chapter 8


Michael and the others landed on earth and began their search for Saphrion and Joey it would not take them to long since they could sense Saphrion’s presence. Back at the apartment Saphrion had a bad feeling, he got out of bed and changed into his clothes trying not to wake the sleeping boy.

Saphrion remembered what they both had done just last night in this room and on that bed. He could still feel Joey’s skin against his and the soft warm lips it was a night the archangel could no forget.

Both Saphrion and Joey weren’t quite sure if this was a night of passion together or a farewell. In Saphrion’s mind he didn’t know what to expect now but he had a slight clue that Michael was on earth looking for him.

The archangel had crossed the line with god and knew their was danger headed his way which could destroy him. Saphrion went into the bathroom to wash his face and try and clear his mind from everything.

After wiping his face with a towel he looked at the mirror and saw the one person he didn’t expect standing right behind him. It was Lucifer, Saphrion was to focused on his own problems that he didn’t even feel the dark angel’s presence.

Saphrion got on the defensive side “do not fret I am not here to fight you or your friend I’m only hear to warn you that Michael is not to far away”. “Is this some sort of joke why would you of all people come here to tell me that” Saphrion was a tad confused.

“Lets just say I have a change of hear well not really but mostly I am here to watch the battle between you and your old companions or should I say our old companions it will be a fight I wont forget” Lucifer said.

“Of course I am not sure how your lover will take it when he finds out that you will be fighting against your own just for his sake as well as your own” he picked up a small ornament from a small shelf and looked at it.

“You know a single life is just like this ornament in my hand it’s beautiful but if something bad happens” and Lucifer dropped it on purpose “it brakes”. “What’s your point Lucifer”, “it’s simple that your life is as fragile as that ornament and it can be destroyed just like that”.

“Saphrion are you alright” they heard Joey from outside “yeah I’m fine Joey I will be out in a minute”. “You want to protect him then the only way to do that is to destroy Michael and the others of course god will still punish you but I will give you a proposition if you do win I can reassure you that if you come down to hell and work for me then god wont be able to touch you and you will be able to stay with the boy”.

“Think about it” and with that Lucifer vanished the moment the dark angel left Saphrion banged his hand against the wall. He had a very angry look on his face which also included frustration.

What was he to choose either defeat his old friends and become a dark angel or surrender to the archangels and disappear for ever. Saphrion came out of the bathroom to see Joey standing the near the window with a very sad expression.

He came up to the blonde and placed his hand on Joey’s shoulder “you don’t think I know do you”. Joey turned around to look at Saphrion “I am not stupid I know that the archangels are coming to fight you is this how its come to be huh it seems that it isn’t just humans who use violence to solve things but also angels”.

A single tear fell down and Saphrion grabbed Joey and held him into a tight embrace “I wish it didn’t come to this either for the first time in my life I never would have imagined that I could ever fall in love again you Joey have made me very happy something that I haven’t felt in a long time”.

Joey looked up at Saphrion “even if I end up dieing I know that some day you and I will meet again even if it is not in this life but the next I am willing to wait until the time comes were you and I can love one another without rules and regulations”.

Saphrion was just about to kiss Joey when the front door flew open, it was Michael and the other archangels of truth. “It is time Saphrion for you to go back to heaven and receive your punishment from god for going against him once again if you are not willing to come with us then we will have to do it for him” Michael said.

Saphrion grabbed Joey and jumped out of the window but Gabriel was already out their waiting just in case Saphrion was going to do that. “Don’t make us do this Saphrion we do not want to be the ones to destroy you” Gabriel told him.

“I have no intentions on going back to heaven and you can tell that to god” Saphrion replied. It was very tense the atmosphere and making Joey very worried soon dark clouds covered the sky just like before but this time it started to rain heavily.

“Saphrion you leave us no choice” the battle then began Saphrion had pushed Joey away before the attack from Michael happened. Saphrion blocked Michael’s punch with his arm before grabbing Michael’s arm and throwing him over.

Then Gabriel came towards him each attach Saphrion received from the archangels were defiantly hard to block at the same time. It wasn’t really quite fair the odds were not in Saphrion’s favour but he had to win. No matter the cost Saphrion needed to defeat his old friends to protect Joey.

Saphrion released his large silver feathers and flew up to the sky with the other archangels following him. Joey watched the battle from the ground and prayed that Saphrion will be alright.

“Please be safe” Joey kept saying over and over he just couldn’t bare to watch but Joey’s eyes couldn’t pull away. Up on a roof Lucifer was watching the battle also he had a smile on his face “my this is one exciting fight what are you thinking now god wasn’t it you who tried to stop this sort of thing between the archangels and demons and yet your letting your own angels fight one another now this is priceless”.

Lucifer just laughed “who would have thought of course you knew that Saphrion would betray you again didn’t you, you should have just banished Saphrion to the underworld along with me”.

A bright light appeared behind him “so I guess you heard what I said huh god” Lucifer turned around and saw his former god before him. “Even though I banished you, you still have the courage to question me and my orders” God said.

“Hey I can do what I want since I am no longer under your control but poor Saphrion he has already gone through enough I think, is it because he is the angel of penance I have always known that Saphrion was disliked up in heaven except I didn’t hate him in fact I loved him and still do” Lucifer said.

“You should realise that is all in the past what happened between the two of you and quite the contrary you have misunderstood something, you think that none of the angels up in heaven dislike him when in fact they all love him” god explained which surprised Lucifer.

Even Saphrion himself has misunderstood thinking they hate him because they don’t really talk to him when the archangels are scared that they will fall for him deeply even though they wouldn’t be punished for it”.

“Now I see that is why you have allowed for this fight to commence its because you don’t want Saphrion to come back to heaven any more afraid that with Saphrion their a catastrophe might occur am I right” god didn’t say anything “I’m right unbelievable well I’ve already seen enough see ya” and Lucifer left.

God looked up at the battle “goodbye Saphrion” and also left the scene as if he was never even their. One large attack from Michael hit Saphrion the angel fell to the ground, Joey ran to his side.

“Saphrion” Joey had tears coming down which just wouldn’t stop “Joey I’m sorry” Saphrion touched the side of Joey’s face why Joey grasped the hand. “Saphrion please don’t leave me I love you” Saphrion smiled.

“Don’t cry everything will be alright”, “no it won’t why is everyone I love have to leave me”. Michael watched the two from above feeling terrible inside he hated himself for what he had done to Saphrion.

Gabriel and the others did as well “why did this have to happen Saphrion did not deserve this” Zadiel said. “We know but we had no choice” Michael told him, they knew their job was done and went back to heaven.

“I will always love you Joey” and with that Saphrion’s hand dropped to the side “Saphrion, Saphrion no SAPPHHRIOOONN”. Thunder struck and Saphrion disappeared from Joey’s arms.

Joey banged his hands against the ground over and over until they were bleeding “GOD I HATE YOOUU”. His dark black wings appeared “I will remember this until the end of my days”.

A great power was released and everything around Joey was destroyed people were screaming and running away. The power that Joey released was too great and pushed his body to the limits.

Lucifer showed up on the scene and saw the destruction and noticed a body lying on the ground. He walked over to it “so this is your farewell gift to the world Joey destroy so many homes and even killing some people”.

“You must really hate god its unfortunate you can’t do anything about being reckless and using the great power which was inside you the power Saphrion had never told you about”.

Lucifer brushed some of Joey’s hair out of his face “well until we meet again” and he left Joey just lying their. The blonde was no more the love that both Joey and Saphrion shared ended up being their downfall.

Is it true that their will be a time were they will meet again and fall in love anything’s possible. Maybe one day at one unexpected moment they will pass each other and remember who they once were.

The beautiful archangel with silver wings from heaven and the dark angel which was half human and half angel. Two beings connected as one from a single meeting which started their relationship and forbidden love.

Well I hope you enjoyed this story sorry about the tragic ending but I needed a plot so I could continue with the sequel. It will be the continuum from this story and the name of it will be called ‘WE MEET AGAIN’.
