Chapter 8
A/N: I am so stunned. The last story I wrote that recieved so many hits and reviews was 'Night of the Vampires' even the one-shot side story 'The Halloween Party' didn't get this much attention when I first posted it. Thanks you guys. Remember at least 3 reviews to get the next chapter the next day or that same day if it goes way over 5. Now to answer your comments.
salenkaiba: C.D. huh well we'll see. *evil grin* Also remember this is Seto Kaiba we're talking about. Think big. As for the gift I thought so to.
kisa: By the time Seto gets finished with Otogi he's going to wish he was under a rock.
lokivsanubis: Don't feel to bad things are going to be coming to a head and Otogi's going down. Jou at the moment is holding the strings and it will be up to him to either pull it in or to let it go.
catti: Jou does have a temper and unlike the rest of the gang including Seto Otogi keeps forgetting that. There is a expession that goes like this. "You play with fire you're going to get burnt." Otogi keeps forgetting that.

Chapter 8
Seto sat in his office waiting for his prey to show up. He had told Otogi earlier that day he needed to talk to him privately and that it was important. While the thought of what he had planned put a smirk on his face another thought soon wiped it off. What was bothering him the most was that Jou hadn’t shown up for school that day and he had even eaves dropped on the geek squad to see if they knew what was going on. They didn’t seem to know either and the worry they were showing concerned Seto very much. He went as far as going into the office lying about class assignments to try and find out some information himself. He still didn’t have any answers. After this meeting with Otogi he was going to find out why he wasn’t in school.
The phone rang bringing Seto out of his thoughts “Yes” He said
“A Mr. Otogi is hear to see you sir he says he has an appointment.” Answered the voice of Seto’s secretary.
Kaiba looked to make sure the office security camera was on then said “Send him in.”
Otogi opened the door to the office and approached the desk and instead of sitting in the chair he sat on the corner of the desk twirling his long hair with his fingers. Purring he said “You wanted to talk with me Kaiba.” He asked in a sultry voice.
“Yes now if you don’t mind get off my desk.” Kaiba said looking at Otogi none to happy.
“Seto why so hostile, I mean me and you alone this is so perfect.” Otogi asked trying to inch closer.
Seto scoffed. “Perfect how? Perfect the way you set up Jounochi? Perfect the way you have been harassing him? Perfect the way you have been chasing me like a dog in heat?” Seto said watching Otogi’s face closely wanting answers. “No answers Otogi or are we finally at a lost for words?”
Otogi looked at him and sighed. “I did it all for you Seto. To keep the dog away from you so you wouldn’t be bothered by him anymore and it seems to be working. I mean since that gift he has barely spoken two words too you. You should be grateful for that. Now just forget about the dog and concentrate on me and you.” Otogi said in a seductive voice not aware of the building anger at the answer that was given.
Seto looked at him and laughed. “Me and you together don’t make me laugh. You know those gifts you so dramatically gave me and Jounochi that day are being returned to you with some slight alterations.” Seto said smirking inwards at what he had done. After he had thrown them away he had though about it some more and came up with a brilliant idea on how to use them to his advantage. So he retrieved the items and set in motion his plan.
Otogi looked at him. “Alterations? What kind of alterations?” Otogi was starting to get nervous. This wasn’t going at all like he had planned.
Seto reached into his desk and pulled out the dog dish, collar, and rubber bone. The dog dish had Otogi engraved on it and the collar had a tag with property of Honda Hiroto, while the bone sported a picture of him. The necklace with the Blue Eyes White Dragon was crushed, hardly anything was left of it and Seto had placed it in the dog dish.
Otogi couldn’t believe what just happened or what he was seeing. “Why did you do that Kaiba?” Otogi was upset and he wanted answers.
Seto just looked at him “Just be grateful there isn’t an audience here to see this not like what you did to a classmate and blaming it on another.” Tired of this whole thing Seto stated in no uncertain terms. “Now get out and take this junk with you and don’t bother me again or anyone else for that matter.”
Otogi picked up the things threw them into the box and stormed out of Seto’s office anger on his face. Seto turned off the camera and sighed he pulled the tape out and quickly went to work; he needed two copies of it one for the geek squad and one for Jou. They all needed to know what Otogi did. They might forgive him but he wouldn’t.
Otogi stormed out of Kaibacorp vowing to get even. ‘That arrogant prick where does he come off telling me what to do, On top of that putting my name and face on this stuff and destroying a very expensive piece of jewelry.’ Otogi climbed into his car wishing he had his bike to let off some steam. He headed for the Kame Game Shop not knowing someone was delivering a certain video tape to Yugi and Yami.
As he walked in everyone was watching a certain tape and looked up when he walked in, Honda was livid as he turned on Otogi “How could you do that to Jou? We believed that you had nothing to do with it. Why did you do it?” By this time Honda was right in Otogi face demanding answers. It took everything that Yugi and Yami had to pull the irate teen back away from Otogi. Their faces showed they weren’t too happy either.
Looking at everybody he asked “What are you talking about? What did I do?” Otogi wasn’t sure what had just happened but he sure as hell wanted some answers.
Honda growled “Don’t play the innocent act. You know what you did.”
Otogi turned to Yugi for some answers still not understanding “Would someone please tell me what is going on?”
Yami got up and pressed play on the VCR and as Otogi watched his face turned white. ‘How did they get this?’ He thought. As he looked at everyone in the room he sighed “Let me explain.” He knew he had to think fast. “Who gave you this thing anyway? You guys know I wouldn’t do something like this right?”
Everyone looked at him. “Right now Otogi we don’t know what to believe. I mean look at the evidence. You are confessing to Kaiba what you did.” Yugi said his face showing no emotion but his eyes had a hint of anger in them. He was talking to Yami trying to calm him down.
Otogi at that moment knew how to get out of this mess. “That’s it; Kaiba, he’s setting me up. Can’t you see that?”
They looked at him questioningly “How is he setting you up?” Honda demanded not believing what he was hearing or seeing. He was beyond hurt by this.
Otogi sighed “He is a genius when it comes to anything dealing with computers. What’s to stop him from fabricating this garbage?” He was scared they had to believe him. He thought faster than he had ever done in his life.
Yami shook his head “Why would he waste his time setting you up? Wouldn’t he just go after your business instead?” He asked wanting a straight answer. He knew Seto better than Otogi ever would and this would be a complete waste of Seto’s time. Seto went straight for the jugular he didn’t mess around.
Otogi sighed “Who knows what goes on in his head?” You know he is capable of anything I mean this is child’s play for him.” He was hoping they would believe him. But he could see the doubt in their faces especially Yami’s. And Yami was not someone he wanted to upset in any form. He was beginning to think this plan was not such a great idea after all.
“Until we talk to Jou and Kaiba we will believe you for the moment but if I find out you lied about this…” Yami paused and looked at Otogi “Well you better not have lied.” He was extremely angry about all of this. He knew Otogi knew more than he was letting on but until they could talk to either Jou or Seto there was nothing they could do. Yami felt sorry for Honda through all this. He knew of the burnets feelings towards the dice master yet Otogi had hardly glanced at him during this mess. He also knew that Yugi was furious about this as well. For when he had talked to Honda he had tried to manipulate Honda’s feeling into believing him. And that was something that neither of them could forgive.
All Otogi could do was shake his head and try and get rid of a certain box before anyone else saw it.
Seto looking at the run down apartment building couldn’t believe his puppy lived here. ‘Pup I knew you had it bad but I just didn’t know how bad.’ Seto looked around the neighborhood he was currently in seeing buildings boarded up and the broken windows. Cars that where just left on the street with no tires or windows, Prostitutes on the corner, trash everywhere, Seto growled at the way his puppy had to live. He climbed out of the car and entered the building wrinkling his nose with distaste, the smell was awful. It smelled like liquor and urine and had very little light to see where you where going. Seto climbed up to the third floor and looked for apartment number 310.
He found it at the end of the hall and knocked. He heard what sound like someone tripping on something then yelling “I’m coming you don’t have to break the door down.” Jou threw open the door and was stunned to see Seto Kaiba standing there. “Kaiba what are you doing here?” He asked still in a state of shock.
Seto looked at him and smirked. “One you miss class today and I said I would see to it you got your assignments. Two, I had a visitor today and he said some very interesting things about you. I record everything that goes on in my office in case something happens and I have to back myself up.”
Jou looked at him curious as to why Seto would be telling him this. “Why would I be interested in what goes on in your office anyways?” He asked.
Seto sighed “Look I thought you just might be interested in what happened. I sent a copy to your friends now what they do about it is up to them. I just thought you might want to see it yourself.”
Jou thought about it “Ok Kaiba I’ll watch the tape if it’s that important that you would send it to my friends.” As Jou watched the tape he became very upset not so much for what Kaiba did to Otogi but what Otogi confessed that he did to him. Jou turned and looked at Kaiba “Thanks for what you did for me. Now maybe people will believe me.” As he said this he knew it wouldn’t be true. Oh he knew his friends would believe him after what had happened. Having seen the tape for themselves they might have a few doubts but he could clear that up. But the rest of the school well they would believe that Otogi was set up by Kaiba.
Kaiba left the building knowing at least his puppy was safe. Jou had said that he wasn’t feeling good that is why he didn’t go to school. Looking at him Seto knew that wasn’t the truth. It looked liked he hadn’t slept in days. Seto knew exactly how he felt for he felt like that himself. Looking up at Jou’s window one last time he knew he needed to get the next gift to him. It was going to be one part of a very special night he had planned if his puppy would accept him. But for now that had to wait for he had to get home before Mokuba started to worry about him. But what a night he had planned.
