I Apologize
Welcome to the 8th chapter. I really hope you all are enjoing this so far. Thanks for reading the previous chapter. In this chapter, we go to Kame Game Shop...around 4:30. Tanoshimu!
Chapter Hachi
(Kame Game Shop)
Yugi watches as his mom and grandpa leave to go to Tokyo.
'Yami's coming over...why did okaa-san invite him. Baka, of course they would want to see the real King of Games.'
A few people come in and buy cards and magazines.
"I heard that Kaiba-kun was coming too." one male says.
"Wow, really?" replied another male.
"That'll be $22.07." says Yugi.
"I think I may stick around for a while and get some tips from the game king himself." one male says as he pays Yugi $25.
'Umm...do they just not notice me here?!'
"$1.93 is your change. Thanks for shopping at Kame Game Shop and have a great day." Yugi says handing the man his money.
The two guys leave the shop.
'5:00. Someone should be here.'
The door to the shop opens.
"Welcome to Kame Game Shop." Yugi says as he looks up only to see Kaiba and the two guys behind him.
"Hello Kaiba-kun." Yugi says.
"Konban wa, Yugi."(1) says Kaiba. "Mind if I go and use the bathroom."
"Yea, go right on ahead." Yugi says opening the door to the house.
Kaiba walks behind the counter and into the Mutou residence.
"Chikusho!"(2) says one of the men.
"We just missed him!" the other replies. "Hey you, sir?"
"Yes, how may I help you?" Yugi replies locking the counter door.
"Where'd Kaiba go? Why isn't he out here giving us some tips?"
"Are you a part of the camp?" asks Yugi.
"What camp? We're not part of a stupid summer camp."
"Well, today is for the Kaiba Duel Camp kids, but you can stay if you like."
"And who are you supposed to be? Just some summer help?"
"Nope." replies Yugi.
"Heh, he's just some summer help Jack. That's all."
"Yea, Mike. The Mutous were looking for someone to help with the shop earlier this year, remember. I guess he met their qualifications and got the job." says Jack.
"So, what did you have to do to land a job here?" asks Mike.
"For one, my family name is Mutou. Is that qualification enough?" replies Yugi.
"Wait...so are you the Duel King?!" asks Jack.
"Iya. But I'm a close friend of his."
"Speaking of the Duel King," says Mike. "He does look like him."
"Wait, so he has the deck with all those rare magician cards." says Jack.
"That deck is on display here. On that wall if you would like to look. Nothing is for sale in that deck."
Jack and Mike run over to the display wall and look at every card in the deck with complete awe.
The door opens again, and 2 people enter.
"Welcome to Kame Game Shop." Yugi says. "Yami, Jounouchi-kun."
"Hey Yugi." they say.
The two guys look up and see Yami and Jou. They become close to fanatic teenagers and run to their side.
"Wow...Jack. It's Katsuya Jounouchi-kun!! He's my idol!"
"No, but Yami-kun is my idol! I can't believe we're standing in the same space with him!"
"Heh Heh. I feel like a celebrity. Autographs are free." Jou says taking the magazine from Jack and signing it. "Here you go Yami."
Yami takes the magazine from Jou and signs it. "Here you go sirs. Remember to always believe in your deck and it will always come through for you."
"Wow...Arigatou!!" they both say bowing before the two then leaving.
"I know Seto is here. Where is he?" asks Jou.
"In the house. You still have 15 minutes. Okaa-san will know." Yugi says teasingly as Jou zips past him and into the house, leaving him and Yami alone.
Yami walks to the display wall and looks at the deck on display.
"This is our deck isn't it." Yami says trying to spark some conversation.
"I'm surprised you would even ask me something like that Yami." Yugi replies as he walks from behind the counter and stands next to Yami.
"I wonder how Mana and the others are doing."
"I'm sure they're fine. You left Seth in charge as Pharaoh." replies Yugi. "He's a great leader. Have any 2nd thoughts, just look at his reincarnation."
As they continued to look at the cards and talk about their past experiences, they unconsciously put their arms around each other.
'ding ding'
They quickly seperate and watch as the group, along with escorts, come in.
"Welcome to Kame Game Shop." Yugi says.
