I need help on the couples, I’m not sure what you want so
you have to tell me…all I ask is that you do not request Ryou/Yugi or a
Yami/Bakura couple because I will not make them a couple any others will work
and I’ll be happy to do it for ya!

To those who keep on referring to Dave Peltzer I have only
read “The Lost Boy” I have not read any of his other books, and I’m not trying
to plagiarize his books or anything and I’m sorry if it seems that way.

Yugi and Ryou walked contently to school, they were enrolled
and Yugi actually happy to be starting up again. Ryou sighed deeply, he didn’t
like school much in fact he hated it and it wasn’t because he wasn’t good in
school his grades were quite remarkable even, but unfortunately he was always
bullied around just like Yugi was.

“Don’t worry Ryou.” Yugi said “This is a tot dif different
school, no one will know us here and hopefully we can make some friends.” Yugi
smiled at him

Ryou let his lips curve slightly not able to resist his
friend’s nature.

“I hope so.” Ryou said

At their other school, they were bullied a lot and most
students knew of their abuse but did nothing about it but use it against them.
And unfortunately some even knew that his father, who caused Ryou more problems
than he ever wanted in his life, sold Ryou. School eventually became a second
hell for the boys, they even looked forward to coming home some days even if it
was to horrible home life. But like Yugi had said this was a new school, new
people, and hopefully new friends.

 

Yami and Bakura had set it up with the teachers that Ryou
and Yugi had the same classes together so at least if things went downhill they
would have each other. Ryou fidgeted in the back of the classroom he looked to
the front row where Yugi had been seated. What was the point of being in class
together if the teacher separated them? He sighed deeply looking about the room
quietly not really paying any attention to the lesson. Time actually went
rather fast and soon the bell rang out for lunch as Yugi bounced over to him.

“Come on” He said taking Ryou’s arm pulling him to the
cafeteria

They sat down in a secluded part of the cafeteria and slowly
ate their lunch together while talking quietly.

“You seem quite,” Yugi said softly

“Just thinking, hoping this school works out for us.” Ryou
said

“If it doesn’t we’ll live, we’ve been through worse you
know.” Yugi said with a wink

“Worse what?” A voice from behind Yugi said

Both boys turned to meet a boy with amber eyes and blonde
hair accompanied by another with brown eyes with brown hair.

“Hey, My name’s Joey and this is Honda.” Joey said pointing
to the brown haired one

Ysmilsmiled “I’m Yugi and this is Ryou.” Yugi said pointing
to Ryou who shrunk slightly in his seat.

“You new here?” Honda asked sitting down next to Ryou as
Joey took a seat next to Yugi.

Yugi nodded “We just enrolled today” He looked to Ryou who
was starring blankly at his lunch plate. “Right Ryou.” Yugi said bringing his
friend from his thoughts

“Y-yes.” Ryou stammered slightly

“You seem shy.” Joey said looking to Ryou who didn’t make
eye contact so Joey turned his attention back to Yugi who seemed more open to
conversation.

“So where did ya come from? Move here with your parents?”
Joey asked

“No, we’re in foster care, our foster parents live here so
now we go to school here.” Yugi answered simply.

“Hey, since you’re new here in all want to come to the
arcade with me and Joey?” Honda asked directing the question to Ryou

“W-we would have to ask before we went.” Ryou said looking
to Yugi

“Yeah, but maybe we could meet you there later?” Yugi said

“Do ya really need permission?” Joey asked

“Yeah, we’ve only been with them a few days they would be worried
if we didn’t come home after school.” Yugi answered

The bell then rang
out for class to start up again “We’ll that’s okay I guess we’ll see you later
then” Joey said standing to go back to class.

“See ya later Yugi, you too Ryou.” Honda said leaving as
well

Yugi smiled to Ryou “See? We’re already making progress!”
Yugi said but frowned noticing Ryou’s expression.

“What’s wrong?” Yugi asked

“I-I don’t really want to go…I don’t think its such a good
idea.” Ryou said

“What’s wrong with going to the arcade? We’ll be surrounded
by people, nothing could go wrong Ryou…onegai?” Yugi asked

Ryou smiled at his friend…okay, I’ll go.” Ryou said as they
left for class.

 

“Well?” Ryou fathers pressured

“Looks like the kids parents keep tabs on them, but don’t
worry I’ll set you up a place where you can snatch both without a problem.”
Honda said smiling “But it will take time, so you need to be patient”

“Don’t worry about Ryou so much as Yugi, we can get Ryou
later easily through trial. Be concerned about setting up Yugi.” Yugi’s father
said

“No problem, the kids so trusting it’ll be easy.” Honda said

“BE careful around Ryou though, he can easily tell if
someone’s intentions are genuine or not, so sound convincing or you will not be
paid or rewarded.” Ryou’s father barked

“I have it under control all right, you’ll have them soon
enough.” Honda said as he left

“When’s the trial?” Yugi’s father asked

“I’ve managed to move it up to next week.” He said smiling

“I can hardly wait.”

 

Ryou and Yugi walked inside their home and were going to
walk into the living room but heard Bakura yelling at Yami so stopped and eased
dropped unable to resist.

“How the hell did he accomplish that!” Bakura screamed

“Stop screaming Bakura, its not like I excepted it either.
How was I supposed to guess that he would move Ryou’s trial to an earlier
date?” Yami said

Ryou went pale and ran straight to his room and Yugi ran
after him.

Ryou collapsed upon his bed at stared at Yugi tears in his
eyes.

“How? How could he move my trial up! I had months Yugi! I
don’t want to go back!” Ryou screamed

“Don’t worry Ryou, I’m sure it will all turn out fine. Yami
and Bakura…” Ryou cut Yugi off

“They can’t protect me! Only if I am in their custody can I
be safe!” Ryou said breaking down into a fit of sobs

“Then you have to prove to the court that your father is
dangerous…just like I did!” Yugi said

“I…I’m not as strong as you Yugi…I don’t think I can.” Ryou
said curling up into a small ball

“I’ll help you… I always have you know.” Yugi said rocking Ryou until he stopped
crying

 

I know that it was kind of rushed bugot got tired of waiting
and I’m not sure how the trial will end so give me a vote plea
