“Y-Yami?” Yugi stuttered staring at Yami in front of him, Yami turned round the threatening expression he had on his face had softened, the looked of worry and nervousness was there, Yami was frightened Yugi would hate him for what he’d just revealed himself to be, Yugi slowly walked up to Yami, “W-what are you?” Yugi asked, he was scared after what he’d witnessed, Yami took a step back looking down “Yugi, I should have told you,” he looked up with tears in his eyes “Every neko has a wild cat inside their heart, I am the only black tiger, I am unique compared to the others, they were either cheetah, leopard, lion or normal tiger,” Yami looked away again with his eyes shut, “We can transform to that wild cat hence with what you just saw, not many could control their wild side but I am amongst those who can,” he looked back up at Yugi “I use it for defence reason and never offense, but with what I am if you wish me to leave I shall,” Yugi stared at Yami saying nothing his mind was working out on what Yami had been saying but Yami took this as Yugi not wanting him around, Yami turned and started to walk away but Yugi grabbed his hand “No don’t go Yami,” Yami looked over his shoulder down at Yugi, “But look at me, I am not like you and what I am has clearly frightened you,” Yugi shook his head “I was scared because I didn’t understand but now I do and plus I don’t want you to go, no matter what you are Yami I still see you as one of us,” Yami blinked away the unshed tears in his eyes, Yugi smiled and hugged Yami “Please stay your one of the few friends I have and like them your willing to help those who are in need,” Yugi looked up at him and grinned “I read in the paper about a woman who was about to be raped but evidence showed that a black fur animal had killed the rapist with a bite to the throat,” Yami stared at Yugi true he’d been the one who’d done it but why was Yugi grinning, “Yami, you saved a person from someone who has been wanted for so many years now, that’s why the police are not tracking you down, true you killed someone but the life sentence was what that person would have got if they were caught,” Yugi continued, Yami looked up at Joey and the others, they were all smiling “Come on Yami don’t go just because ya showed us ya true colours,” Joey said, Yami smiled back feeling better now that his friends had accepted him for who and also what he was.

Yugi smiled as he finished bandaging Yami’s neck, Yami sat quietly beside him on the couch in the living room at the game shop, Joey, Tristan, Tea and Seto had come over and were currently listening to Solomon talking and explaining about Yami’s kind having done a little research on them, their eyes widened as Solomon presented a long canine “It’s a tiger’s but not of any of the breeds we know,” he turned to Yami “Do you recognise this?” he asked, Yami looked at the tooth and took hold of it, and gave a sad smile “My baby tooth from my tiger form,” he closed his hand round it shutting his eyes remembering when he’d lost it, he opened his eyes and handed it back to Solomon “You keep it, you found it and it should be treated as a lucky find of when you first made a discovery of my species,” Solomon smiled and nodded “Alright then,”

The amber eyed figure watched closely through the window from the other side of the street “The time has almost come Pharaoh; you won’t need friends with where you’re going,” the figure grinned nastily and left, Yami’s ears pricked up hearing something and looked round but settled after a moment, he was sat duelling against Seto, Yami had explained that neko’s just like the people in Egypt played a darker version of Duel monsters, so far Seto was in the lead but Yami had used the power of the millennium puzzle to conjure forth the very deck he’d used back in Egypt only they were now cards, Solomon explained about the three Egyptian God cards, Yami grinned “I have them, all three, took me a while to get a hold of them but I own all three,” Seto looked at him wide eyed then played a magic card which meant Yami had to show his hand to Seto, Yami’s hand was holding five cards, three of which were the Egyptian gods, he also held a Multiply as well as a Dark Magician and a Kuriboh, Seto looked at Yami who smirked and within the few next turns Yami defeated Seto, Yami chuckled “Not bad for a 5000 year old neko,” Seto looked at him but smiled “You know you’re the only other person who’s beaten me,” Yami blinked “Really? Who was that then?” Seto glanced to Yugi who shrugged smiling Yami smiled back.
