Disastrous Flashbacks

Yugi’s head pounded mercilessly as he walked into his room to go to sleep. His crying had a bad aftereffect. Yami would always comfort him when things like this happened, the thought made him sad again. Shaking his head which was a mistake Yugi buried his face into his pillow. His headache was even worse than before. “Shaking head will not happen again…” He mumbled. Soon the pull of sleep tugged at his already weary brain and Yugi found himself drifting into a deep slumber.

*

Yugi looked over the scene that befell him. For a dream, it was mighty real. Swords clashed and clanged noisily as Atem and Seth practiced sword fighting. Yugi felt a tremor of fear run down his spine. Why was he seeing this? Watching Atem blow Seth back into the ground a fleeting emotion of excitement built up in Yugi. But it didn’t last long.

“Come on Seth, don’t be such a snob.” Atem laughed holding his hand out to him. Seth glared up at his Pharaoh. “Losing isn’t a bad thing, it teaches you a lesson.”

“Yes, lessons that I don’t care to have most times.” Seth grumbled accepting Atem’s hand. Coming to tower over the small form Seth looked down and smirked. “At least I win in height.”

Atem’s eyes narrowed in annoyance. Seth never ceased to tease him about his height. “Stop the height thing, we both know it’s just…” Atem went quiet as Seth’s fingers trailed over his lips softly.

Yugi’s chest constricted tightly.

“It is cute.” Seth teased gently and Atem bat away his hand. Stomping away Seth sighed and set his sword into one of the sheaths. “Atem wait!” The shorter teen stormed down the hallway. Seth had gone and done it.

Yugi felt his conscious fly along with Seth as he raced down the hall. He didn’t want to see.

“Atem, wait for me please, I’m sorry.” Seth apologized genuinely.

Atem snorted in disagreement. “I know you’ll just do it again, you oversized pig-headed fool.” Atem insulted breaking into a run.

Seth finally caught up to him and picked him up. Atem fought against his hold, kicking and anything else he could muster the strength to do. Yugi thought the whole situation was funny. Yami would almost never lose his cool like that around him. Except that time he set up the little date between him and Tea…that was a plain disaster. Atem had ceased struggling. The temperature was rising as midday approached and he didn’t want to overheat, that was his excuse anyway. Seth knew better. Kissing down Atem’s neck Seth slipped them into a secluded room. Running his hand up Atem’s thigh Seth became even more aroused as Atem rubbed back against his arousal.

Yugi covered his ears and shut his eyes tightly. But the scene’s never ceased.

*

Atem lay quietly on his bed playing with Seth’s hair. It seemed so perfect, the two of them together. Yugi’s heart broke at the sight. Why was this happening? Were these actual memories from Yami’s past? Was this what drove Yami to spend those nights with Seto? It was becoming apparent that these thoughts were true as the memories wove on.

“You should go back to your rooms Atem. It wouldn’t go well for the both of us if Isis were to find you here.” Atem ignored him and kissed his forehead lightly. Seth was succumbing to sleep fast. “Go Atem.”

“At least let me remain with you until you sleep.” He begged softly holding onto Seth tightly. “It calms me…”

*

Atem buried himself happily into Seth’s side as they walked up to the palace. Their sparring session had been exciting and ended peacefully. He felt safe there. With things looming on the horizon like work and Isis badgering him on duties that needed to be done, Atem treasured this little peace.

*

“Beg for it Atem.” Seth demanded ceasing the thrust of his hips. Atem bit his tongue though not wanting to succumb to him. He was breaking though, and Seth knew it. Atem looked up into his dark lustfilled blue eyes. They were slickened with sweat and Atem was unbearable aroused.

“Please take me, hard, I don’t care just thrust Seth!” Atem cried and Yugi broke into tears.

‘I don’t want to see this.’ Yugi shuddered. ‘Please make this stop.’

“You’re mine.” Seth claimed.

‘Stop!’

“I’m yours.” Atem said and cried out his passion.

*

Yugi bolted up in bed. Gasping for air he gripped his bed clothes hard. Not seeming able to catch his breath Yugi pulled his knees to his chest. He couldn’t bare the thought of closing his eyes. It was bad enough that Atem’s screams of ecstasy had followed him into his waking world. Looking over at his alarm clock it read five am. Laying back down he stared at his wall, his breathing finally under control. Hearing a chuckle behind him a chill flew over Yugi’s body.

Turning slowly Seth sat quite comfortably in his desk chair. He wasn’t like the Seth he had seen in the memories. This Seth was darker, scarier, and made Yugi’s skin crawl. “Did you like those little flashbacks?” He asked a dark humor playing on his tongue.

Yugi slowly backed himself into his wall. “W-What’re you doing here?”

“I thought it was about time we spoke. You are after all trying to do something that’s going to ruin my plans. I can’t have you bringing him back you little runt. It is imperative that he stay where he is.” Seth spoke coldly. “You do not know the amount of power I will have once I have his soul. He will be mine before you complete this, ritual.” Seth promised and rose from his chair. “Many have died trying to do it you know?” Yugi moved back further along his wall as Seth approached.

“I’m not going to let you get anything.” Yugi swore his eyes unwavering.

Seth stood back amused. “What makes you think you can stop me?”

Yugi went quiet. He didn’t exactly know how he was going to do that. Seth’s dark laughter assaulted his eardrums again. “I thought you loved Atem.” Yugi mumbled. “You seemed so happy together. And yet, you stabbed him!” Yugi accused tears brimming his eyes. “What makes you think he will help you?”

Seth smirked. “What makes you think I need consent?” Yugi’s eyes widened. Seth laughed again. “Evil just does not ask cute little questions, Yugi Motou. If we want power we take it without question, permission or not.” Yugi shook his head. “If I need something I will take it, I will rip it from his body, and use it to my wishes. And what I need is his power in controlling shadows.” Seth knelt down beside his bed. “He was good at it you know. Banishing people to the shadow realm to be punished, sometimes he loved doing it.”

“Shut up…”

“Engulfing them in shadows to never be seen again, he even laughed-.”

“Shut up!” Yugi shouted loudly. Hopefully his grandfather would wake up. Maybe he was still in a nightmare and all he had to do was wake up.

Seth frowned but it slowly slipped into a feral grin. “Do you love him?” Yugi didn’t look up to meet his gaze. “Does he excite you? When I thrust into his willing body, did all of that shatter?” Yugi bit his lip hard as tears spilled down his cheeks.

Looking up with determination in his eyes Yugi spoke angrily, “I will get Yami back. If you’re going to be in my way, that isn’t going to stop me. I love Yami. And you can’t change that fact.”

Seth seemed to regard his resolve as he once more stood to his full height. “You are going to regret making this choice.” Seth vanished into a void of darkness. Yugi didn’t move from his spot on the bed.

Joey stood outside the game shop waiting beside the door. Yugi opened it tiredly. “Ya don’t look like ya slept much.”

“I had an unwanted visitor last night.” Was all Yugi said before making his way back into the house. “Don’t be surprised if I snap at you.”

“Well noted.” Joey said wearily taking a seat at the kitchen table. “Do you wanna talk about it?”

Yugi mulled it over in his brain. “Seth came to see me.” Joey tensed. “Showed me some things about his love for Atem and how much he would destroy him just to get the power he needed. Yeah I think I had a pretty good night.” Joey winced at Yugi’s murderous sarcasm.

“Maybe you should take a nap then.” Mai said making her entrance. “I don’t want to handle a bitchy Yugi all the way.”

“Thanks Mai, I think I feel loads better.”

“Sarcasm is not nice coming from you.” Seto said. He was met with three glares. One had a slight shine of fear. “I’m not going to bite you Yugi.”

“It’s not my fault you look just like him. Who let you into my house?”

“Look, you may not like me, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to help you get him back. Think of it as me repenting for what I’ve done.” Yugi went quiet. Joey gave Seto an earful however. That didn’t really surprise him in the least. Mai however shut him up complaining of a headache and shoved a bun in his mouth. “Ishizu said she’d be here in a little while she had some things to do.” Seto informed leaning against a wall.

Joey turned to Yugi and sighed. “Tristan said he was goin’ to stay here. He wanted ta come with ya but said it might be easier if he stayed.”

“Hey guys!” Tea cheered bounding into the room.

Seto, Mai and Joey all visibly cringed. Yugi smiled.

“Good morning Tea.”

“How come ya can be cheery wit her and not me huh?” Joey teased pushing Yugi.

“Because obviously she doesn’t know everything,” Mai hissed. And it suddenly clicked in Joey’s brain.

‘Damn, I really am slow.’ He thought more amused than anything else. “Tea?”

“Yeah?”

“Are ya sure ya wanna be coming on this little adventure?”

“If it means getting Yami back then yea, I want to come.” Joey rubbed his forehead irritated. So much for having a good mood about him this morning.

“Do you guys want anything to eat or drink?” Joey looked at him an impeccable grin on his face. “Don’t devour my whole fridge.”

Isis arrived in the early afternoon. Yugi had fallen asleep again and was woken up on her entrée. “I trust that you have decided Yugi?” He nodded bravely. She admired his strength. “I hope you are able to find the items. Here are depictions on what they made have looked like. Take a good look.” They all gazed at the pictures.

“Wow, these are really pretty earrings.” Tea said running a finger over the chandelier earrings.

“It is said that whoever wears them will be found by their beloved.” Isis said. She took out a black bag and handed it to Yugi. “Put the items in this, no one will be able to sense their power.”

“Right,” he said and strapped it to his back.

“The Hour Glass also has attributes that I have bare knowledge of. It can make your presence known in history but you will not forget who you are. Don’t get too caught up in the web of the past or you will never return. You might be surprised at what you see there.” Yugi looked up at her questioningly but she only smiled. “Be careful, and good luck to you.”

Yugi held out his hand. Mai and Joey took it quickly. Seto rolled his eyes and also clasped his hand. Tea rested hers over Seto's and Yugi flipped the hour glass and bright yellow lights went off all about them. Clocks appeared and the hands began to whiz backwards quickly. The last they saw of Isis she, she was waving them goodbye a hopeful smile on her face.

I really don't like Tea...Bakura and Ryou shall make an appearance soon I have not forgotten about our lovely snowhaired bishies
