Chapter 7
Sorry it took so long, but there's only one or two chapters left in this story.
The smell of breakfast coaxed Anpu out of sleep. He shifted in his bed as he tried to escape from the death hold the sleeping Matao held him in. It had been several weeks since Matao had first taken him. It wasn’t like he hadn’t wanted it. He had wanted it, more than anything.
Anpu practically jumped as the skinny body came in contact with his bare back. Even after this amount of time he was still skinny, but not quite as unhealthily so. Not that they hadn’t messed around at all, they had done plenty of that, they just hadn’t screwed since the day.
“What’s burning?” Matao whispered in his ear as he nuzzled against Anpu.
“Nothing, come on, get your skinny butt out of my bed.”
Anpu finally managed to wrestle away from Matao’s hold and landed roughly on the floor.
Matao pulled the blankets back over his head, his way of saying he was going back to bed.
Eventually Anpu stumbled down the steps, rubbing his eyes as he was greeted with a sight he had not wanted to see. On the couch he saw his father, with his pants down, and his papa-san straddling him.
Yugi and Jonouchi both jumped as they saw Anpu standing there. Yugi stumbled over to the dishes as Jonouchi pulled his pants up and finished with the preparation of the food.
“Where’s your other half, Anpu,” Jonouchi smirked as he slapped his son on the back.
“Still in bed,” Anpu jerked his head towards the room he had just vacated as he sat down at the table and waited for breakfast to be finished.
“Lazy butt,” Jonouchi muttered as he finished cooking the food and dumped some on the plate in front of Anpu.
There was a creak on the wooden floor and all of them glanced up to see Matao awake, bits and pieces of his red hair were sticking up all over the place and he blindly looked around with blue eyes only half open.
“Welcome back to the land of the living,” Yugi said with a huge smile as he loaded a plate full of food and offered it to Matao. “Eat up! We need to fatten you up a bit, besides, once Katsu-koi gets a hold of it there won’t be anything left.”
Jonouchi grabbed Yugi around the waist and pulled him back. “What was that Yugi?” Jonouchi laughed and a broad smile presented it self on his face.
Yugi wrapped his arms around Jonouchi’s neck and kissed him softly. “Can you ever forgive me?” Yugi pouted as he puckered his lips in a pout.
Jonouchi kissed the puckered lips softly as he held Yugi. “Aw, you know I could never stay mad at that face.”
Anpu just shook his head as he heard a snort from across the table.
“Why mess around like that. The world today is not a place for fun,” Matao snorted as he pushed his chair back and ran towards the steps, escaping out of the front door of the game shop.
“And there goes Mr. Sunshine,” Anpu muttered as he poked his fork into a piece of pancake and ate it quickly. He devoured his food as fast as he could, pausing only to grab a cup of juice and chugged it down before running out the door.
Matao stuffed his hands in his pockets as he kicked as small rock across the ground. It wasn’t that he wasn’t thankful it was just that he really didn’t know how to be. He had lived on his own in the shelter for so long he couldn’t remember ever some one doing something for him.
His family? No matter how much he wracked his brain he couldn’t even draw up a picture.
Something was missing in his life. He knew it. He felt his mind dismiss them to more pleasant thoughts as he brought his fingers to his lips. So many times had Anpu touched him in love.
At first he denied it. Some one like him shouldn’t feel that way. But no, he had proved it.
The wind whipped through, ruffling Matao’s hair as he stood there in the alleyway. Anpu’s smell permeated his skin and clothing and he could smell it. Perhaps that was why he always seemed at ease when all logic told him he should be panicking.
Jonouchi was just finishing up washing the breakfast dishes, a dish towel slung over his shoulder when he felt the arms slip around his waist and the cheek resting against his shoulder. He knew his lover was keeping secret from him but he figured he had to have some sort of reasoning behind it.
“Yugi,” Jonouchi whispered his head hung low. He was ashamed of himself for keeping his mouth shut like he had. He deserved to know the truth. “I’m pregnant,” the words finally came out and he sighed in relief.
“Really? That’s great!” Yugi exclaimed as he hugged his husband.
There was a forced smile on Jonouchi’s face, “yeah great.” It was a good thing he didn’t tell Yugi about the other problem Bakura had notified him about, that those that were pregnant had a ninety-five percent chance of contacting the Shadow Virus.
“Anpu,” the words came out with a snarl.
The teen with the tri-colored hair turned and gave a helpless shrug as he turned to face Jene. “Hey, funny to see you here.”
“Cut the crap Anpu!” She snarled as she eyed the boy. “We have a fight to finish and your daddy’s not here to save you this time.”
Anpu could feel the sweat forming on his brow. If Jene attacked him now he’d be a goner for sure, since he didn’t have his deck with him.
Matao had heard the scream and gone tearing towards the alleyway. He knew he was too late when he got there, seeing the body on the ground and Jene shaking in the corner.
“What did you do?” He snarled at her as he stalked over there.
“I-I didn’t know it would steal his soul,” she was silenced with a glare as Matao knelt down beside Anpu’s lifeless body.
“How do I save him?”
