Getting ready for the competition
The next weekend Yami was washing Kybimon like a car.
He hosed her down, scrubbed her with soap, then hosed
the soap. He even waxed her collar.
Yuugi walked outside with Calumon squirming in his arms.
He let the little guy go to he could walk around in the yard.
"What are doing, giving her a bath?" Yuugi asked.
"I'm getting her ready to fight in the competition." Yami said.
"I thought you didn't want to compete." Yuugi said.
"I didn't, but Kaiba called last night about having a digimon
raised just to kill Kyubimon and me. I want to face him again,
this time he has to learn that digimon have hearts. Kybimon
will break the heart of any monster she fights."Yami said while
brushing the beast. Yuugi picked up a horse brush and helped.
His little Calumon is running around in the yard making a mess
while they were talking. He was finaly noticed when he knocked over
the soapy water pail.
"CALUMON!" Yuugi scolded it. "Don't make anymore messes." Yuugi
picked up the little digimon and dried him off with a towel that was on the ground.
"I gave him cerial this morning, never agian, I'm not feeding him anything he can spill."
Yuugi said to Yami. Yami just smiled.
"Sounds like you too had a fun morning." They continued to brush the fox monster.
"So when is the competition?" Yuugi asked.
"It starts tonight, but it's more of a beauty pagent tonight, the real battle starts tommarow."
"Aren't you afraid of losing her?" Yuugi asked.
"Yuugi...Shit happens." Yami brushed the foxes tails. "You have to be brave and not think about
what could happen, what happens 'happens'. Life's no fun if you hide behind others all the time."
"I guess your right." Yuugi pat Calumon on the head. "Calumon and I will be watching from the
stands. I'm sure Kybimon is strong enough to handle anything because of the training you gave
her...I should have trained Patamon a little better."
"Don't beat yourself up over that."
"I'm not, I'm just saying you were able to tame a digimon stong enough to destroy Kaiba's."
"I'm not worried."Yami brushed another tail. "So many, can you take or two?"
"Sure." Yuugi put calumon on the porch and picked up the horse brush. Calumon pulled a hairbrush from the ground and
copied Yuugi. Cept' Calumon was brushing Kybimon's back paw. Wich you know is white fire. The brush desintagrated.
Calumon got scarred and hit behind Yuugi. "We are definently gonna watch huh Calumon?" Calumon looked up at
Yuugi with a wide playful smile and squealed with the happieness that his master was paying attention to him.
