Chapter 7
“Yugi.”
“What is it, sir?” Yugi asked as he looked up from his cleaning. He and Keith were the only ones left in the studio. Everyone else had either left or was working at some other place in the studio.
“I have something for you,” Keith told him, handing over a box. Yugi looked surprised, but he took it, set it on the closest empty table, and opened it while Keith looked on smiling. Inside was a leather collar with the word “Keith’s” printed on it and a pair of leather pants. Yugi gingerly picked up the pants by the hem, noting with distaste that not only were they ass-less, but they also had several artistically-placed holes all along the legs. Yugi then gave Keith a questioning glance.
“Put them on,” Keith ordered.
“Excuse me?”
“Put them on. I want to see you in them. You can keep your boots on, but I want everything else off and my gifts to you on.”
“I… No! I’m seeing someone!”
“Dakku,” Keith agreed, “But you’re obviously in an open relationship, considering he’s sleeping with other people.”
“That’s his job!” Yugi retorted.
“And this is yours. Now put on the pants and collar or I’ll fire you.”
Yugi froze. “You can’t do that.”
“Yes, I can. It’s your word against mine, Yugi. And you can’t afford to lose this job like the last one because then you won’t be able to pay your grandfather’s medical bills.”
Yugi’s eyes widened.
“Oh, yes,” Keith continued, backing Yugi against the wall, “I know about your grandfather and how you were fired from your last job for sleeping with two of the board members.”
“I never slept with them. They were sexually harassing me and when it was found out they were both trying to get me into bed, they had to cover the scandal and I was a convenient scapegoat,” Yugi spat out bitterly.
“Nevertheless, you’ve got a bit of a bad reputation following you, true or not. Now put on the pants.” Keith grabbed Yugi and thrust him towards the table the box sat on.
Yugi hesitated and gave a worried glance at the clock as they passed it. He was going to be late for his date with Atemu.
“I need to go, sir. And... I’d rather not do it here.”
Keith growled. “Fine. Go then. But tomorrow it’s all or nothing,” he snapped before grabbing Yugi’s arm. “Take the clothes with you. I’ll find a hotel for tomorrow,” Keith added, caressing Yugi’s face.
Yugi nodded before grabbing the box and fleeing.

Atemu beamed in delight as he opened the door to his apartment. Yugi stood there, looking as if he couldn’t decide whether or not to come in.
“Good. You made it,” Atemu declared, ushering Yugi inside before the smaller man could change his mind.
“Yeah,” Yugi agreed, smiling as he began to relax, “Sorry, Keith kept me late, but thanks for inviting me. This is a nice place you have.”
It was a nice apartment. It had several large rooms, windows with a decent view, and the furniture was well-made and looked both expensive and comfortable. The furniture was also mismatched in typical bachelor pad style.
“I needed to do something with the royalties I’m still getting from the films I made with Rex Raptor,” Atemu said, shrugging.
“Yeah, I suppose you do… Oh Wow!” Yugi exclaimed, rushing to the desk and the computer it held. “What OS does it use? Never mind. I’ll just turn it on. Ah. Win XP. What kind of memory and RAM does it have?”
“I… uh, don’t know,” Atemu said, watching as Yugi frowned at his computer and started opening up windows.
“You’ve got enough RAM and memory that it shouldn’t be running this slow. When’s the last time you cleaned the spyware off and defragmented your computer?”
“Huh?”
Yugi turned to glare at him. “No wonder it’s running so slowly. Do you at least have a firewall and anti-virus software?”
“Sure. The computer came with them,” Atemu pointed out.
Yugi rolled his eyes. “That stuff is the kind that gets attacked first and half of them don’t even do the full job because people don’t turn them on or the programs don’t search deep enough. Luckily you have me, and I’ll fix your computer. For a price, of course.”
Atemu blinked. “You want to be paid?”
“Yeah. But not in money,” Yugi replied, giving Atemu’s body an appreciative glance. Atemu noted the look with pleasure. He suspected Yugi would have fixed the computer anyway, judging by the way he lit up when he saw it. Sex would just be his way of making up for taking so much of the evening up sitting in front of the computer.
Well over two hours later, Atemu was sprawled on the couch, watching some movie he didn’t give a damn about, an empty Coke can on the coffee table in front of him. A matching can was by Yugi, who sipped at it occasionally while he remained absorbed by Atemu’s computer.
“I’m finished,” Yugi suddenly announced. Atemu looked over the back of the couch and watched in amazement as Yugi clicked a program that normally took forever – or at least a few minutes – to load and it immediately opened.
“I’m impressed. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Yugi replied smugly as he closed the program and turned the computer off. “Now, I believe we had other things planned for tonight?”
“Yes, we did,” Atemu grinned as he stood and stalked towards the computer. Yugi quickly turned the computer off before Atemu trapped him between him and the desk.
The kiss was brutally intense. Atemu dominated it, sucking Yugi’s bottom lip into his mouth where he licked and nibbled at it. Yugi moaned and Atemu took advantage, flicking his tongue into and over the moist cavern of Yugi’s mouth. They broke apart, gasping, before Yugi pulled Atemu down for another kiss. When they broke apart again, Atemu started kissing and licking at Yugi’s neck. Then he started to make a new mark of ownership to replace the one already fading. It would have gone on much longer if an odd jingle hadn’t broken their concentration.
“Damn it,” Yugi muttered as he dug his cell phone out of his pocket and flipped it open. He listened for a moment before sighing and saying, “Yeah, it’s me.” Then Yugi pushed Atemu away, who had stopped in his curiosity, and moved away.
“Uh huh. Uh huh. Yeah, I’ll be there in a few.”
Atemu watched as Yugi hit a button and snapped the phone closed.
“What is it?”
“I have to go. I’m really, really sorry. Something’s come up,” Yugi apologized, looking rather upset.
“It’s okay. I understand. Will I see you tomorrow?”
“Yeah. You still owe me for fixing your computer,” Yugi replied, cheering up a little. Atemu walked Yugi out to his car, fidgeting.
“Do you really have to go?”
“Yeah. I’m afraid so,” Yugi replied before he leaned up and gave Atemu a kiss. “Goodnight. I’ll see you at work tomorrow.”

“Report, Rod!” Enigma barked.
“Things are going slowly with Dakku. Possibly because he’s being distracted by a hot little number who’s fond of black leather,” Rod replied, smirking at Enigma. Enigma frowned at him.
“Then the distraction will just have to be removed.”
Rod blinked and frowned.
“I’m not so sure that’s a good idea, Enigma,” Rod said. The other three were watching in fascination.
“And why not?” Enigma asked coolly, “We don’t have a lot of time and a distracted Dakku is the last thing we need. The distraction will be removed and that’s final.”
Rod sighed but nodded his head. “Yes, sir.”

Atemu sighed as he entered his dressing room. Filming had been particularly hard today, what with Pegasus in attendance and making both Keith and Atemu nervous, and Yugi had been busy or oddly distracted whenever Atemu tried talking to him. Atemu was glad he would be able to actually get into some clothes, but as he closed the door, he paused and picked up a piece of paper lying on the floor. It looked like someone had shoved it under the door of his dressing room.
You haven’t answered our question. Are you interested in working for us or not? the note read. At the bottom was the pyramid and Egyptian eye. Hearing a knock on the door, Atemu put the note down on the dressing table.
“It’s open.” He immediately regretted saying it when he recognized the person who entered.
“Excellent performance today, my dear,” Pegasus said as he came in. “I really do think you’ve outdone yourself.”
“You’ll forgive me if I don’t share your optimism… or sense of taste,” Atemu snapped, glaring at the man in the red velvet suit.
“Come now, my dear. I know you’ve had a long, hard day but that’s no reason to be testy.”
“I only let you in because I thought you were my boyfriend. Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like to be alone so I can get changed.”
“Boyfriend?” Pegasus asked, looking somewhat put out.
“Out,” Atemu replied, pointing at the door. Slowly, Pegasus complied.

“I’ve rented a room for us at the Hilton downtown. I’m really looking forward to spending the night with you,” Keith informed Yugi as he ran his hands up and down his assistant’s arms.
“I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna sleep with you!”
“If you don’t, I’ll fire you,” Keith threatened, tightening his grip on Yugi’s arms.
“You can’t fire me! I quit!” Yugi thrust the papers and coffee he was carrying at Keith. “And here’s your stupid coffee!” Keith let go of Yugi and fumbled with the
papers and coffee while the object of his affections fled. Yugi sprinted through the studio and nearly ran into a man wearing a red velvet suit.
“I… I’m sorry.”
“Oh, it’s alright,” Pegasus assured him. “I heard what happened.”
“You did?” Yugi asked, wincing.
“Yes. You run errands and keep things organized, right?”
“I did, but my now ex-boss wanted a bit more than a gopher,” Yugi stated unhappily.
“In business, we call them assistants, not gophers, and, as luck would have it, I’m Maximillian Pegasus, and I am in need of a new assistant and it sounds like you could use a job,” Pegasus replied, holding out his hand. “What do you say?”
Yugi looked at the hand, and then up at Pegasus before shaking his hand.
“All right.”

“Here is the information you requested, Master Dartz,” Raphael said as he handed his boss a file folder.
“Excellent,” Dartz replied as he took the file. He set it on the desk in front of him and opened it. Then he looked up at Raphael again, a surprised look on his face.
“You are sure?” he asked.
“Yes, sir. That is Enigma.”
A slow smile rose on Dartz’s face as he skimmed through the file, noting information and looking over the pictures. “Interesting. Very interesting. I’ll contact you later with your orders,” Dartz said, dismissing Raphael with a wave of his hand as he remained absorbed with the file in front of him.
“Yes, sir.” Then Raphael turned neatly on his heel and left. Dartz chuckled as he read.
“I think I’d like to meet this… Enigma.”
