Dark Light 7
It had been a week since the incident at the surgery and Ryou had gone through the time in a terrified daze, jumping at every little thing and avoiding his friends in case the monster that looked like him hurt them. He'd been taken in for questioning again by the police, but had been released once more because the fingerprints on the murder weapon didn't match up. They'd told him not to leave town, though, and on his way out he'd heard one of the officers whispering to his partner that he looked very suspicious. But there was nothing Ryou could havee, he, he could hardly tell them that some kind of creature that looked like him had appeared and killed the doctor, so he'd said that when he'd left the surgery the doctor had been fine. It must have happened just after he left the building. Luckily the place had been relatively empty so the secretary at the front desk had been making coffee when he ran out, meaning she hadn't seen him running from the doctor's office looking terrified.
A whole week, and no further sign of the murderer except a report that a teenage girl had been killed in her own home, with her parents asleep upstairs. And that was it, he'd never appeared to Ryou again, and the white-haired boy's nerves were almost ready to snap.
Since sleeping had gotten decidedly harder and the thoughts and fears buzzing around in his head were giving him a headache, Ryou got off the couch where he'd been sprawled for most of the day, grabbed his jacket and keys, and left the house to walk through the park. It was night, but the darkness didn't scare him. He reasoned that he would be just as safe outside as he was in, Bakura didn't seem to care whether it was night or day when he killed people, and he could appear anywhere.
Walking along the concrete path bordered by softly glowing streetlamps, Ryou wondered why Bakura hadn't killed him in the doctor's office. He had the opportunity, but instead he'd just let Ryou run away, he hadn't even followed. Was he waiting, to save him for later? Did he want to take his time killing Ryou? Just what *was* he? How could he just appear like that? And why did they look so alike? Ryou shuddered and drew his jacket tighter across his chest. He'd seen a man killed right in front of him. It wasn't something one got over quickly. The blood had been so red, the way it had pooled around the body was almost like art, it was so stark against the white floor. And the ease with which Bakura had swung those sharp bits of metal that made up the model spine was almost beautiful. He'd been so graceful, even doing something that evil. The force of the blow had killed the doctor instantly, but Bakura had made it look so effortless. And his smirk afterwards, that was something Ryou knew he would never forget. That and the deep, hissing voice the creature had. The words he'd said, he made it sound as though he wasn't doing anything wrong, as though it was his right to do as he pleased and just take lives like that on the spur of the moment, purely for his own amusement.
Ryou continued to muse, so lost in his thoughts he didn't notice that the gang of men he'd just passed smoking by one of the benches had begun to follow him. Someone else noticed, though.

(Bakura POV)
A week is a long time. I hate waiting, but I wanted to let him think about me. Heheh. But now his time's up, and I should probably make an appearance again soon so he doesn't think I've given up on him. Which I haven't, by the way. Just watching him this week has been pure torture, and I'm not a masochist. Watching other people suffer is a lot more fun than going through it myself, though I'm sure he has no idea what he does to me. Since he's spent the whole week worrying and going out of his mind with fear that I'll pop up and stab him or something, he's been doing lots of delicious things without noticing. Like biting his lip, pacing about his living room, tossing and turning all night... He has nightmares, I think. I like them, they make him cry out and moan and all sorts of yummy things. I hope they're about me.
Anyway, back to the point, if there ever was one. I've been following him for a whole week, though he can't see me. Which is fun, in a torture-by-sexual-frustration sort of way. Note the sarcasm. I must admit, though, that common sense isn't one of his gifts. He's walking in the park right now, being followed by a group of what can only be described as thugs, and he hasn't even noticed yet. He's thinking about something, hopefully me, and the guys following him seem to think he's very pretty. Which is true, he is very pretty. But he's mine, and if any of them touch him I'll feed them their own fingers.
Doesn't he know that I'm not the only scary thing out there? What's he doing walking around in the dark anyway? Can't he freak out just as easily and more conveniently whilst lying on his couch? He just *has* to be difficult, doesn't he? He has no idea what I go through watching him. Oh well, perhaps it'll work to my advantage. If they attack him I can kill them all, which will be very enjoyable, and I'll also get to save him and possibly earn brownie points. Maybe then he'll let me ravish him. Because I really, really want to ravish him. He's very ravishable.
Finally! One of the thugs made a move! He just strode forward and grabbed Ryou's arm, spinning him around so that he's now in the middle of their little gang. And my pretty little Ryou is looking terrified, which is really a good look for him. His eyes are wide, and he's trying to get away but one of the big thugs is twisting his arm behind him. That must hurt. Ok, time to step in, I think. I know a lot of fun things to do with a knife. I wonder if they'd like me to share?
TBC
Only two or three parts left, though I might drag it out and make it four. So can Bakura take on a bunch of big, scary guys and save Ryou? Will Ryou say thanks or run a mile? Will winter ever be over so I can type without my fingers going numb?
Anyway, please review! ^_^
