The Museum

I figured I would stop trying to say whether this is a story or prologue. There's no way a prologue can be this long, so we'll just call it a story. enjoy and plz review!

::Is it just me or do these people seem like amateurs?:: Teajuana asked.

::It’s not you, Bastet.:: came the voice of the Chaos Magician. ::These kids are horrible.::

::I want to see. . .:: Teajuana didn’t finish her thought as she saw the display case for the museum. What she saw astonished her, and she raced in to find out if it was true. Sure enough, there was Isis explaining some of the artifacts. “Isis, what are you doing here?”

The Egyptian woman turned and smiled at Teajuana. “I am just as surprised to see you, Bastet.” The visitors watched the two with awe as both were speaking Egyptian.

“You still haven’t answered my question.”

“This is the tour I was talking about. I-”

“You figuyou’you’d lure the priest and pharaoh here.” The other nodded. “And. . .also planned on making the finals,” she accused after listening for a moment.

“You found me out. Perhaps you’d like to-”

Once again, Isis was interrupted as a new group came to see the artifacts. Teajuana kept her eyes opened and noticed two men with much darker complexion than everyone else. In fact, she recognized them as assassins.

“See ya, Isis!” she said loud enough for the two men to pay attention. Teajuana ran through the museum; the assassins hot on her trail. ::Let’s see how athletic you are.:: She turned and started upstairs. The men continued to chase her, and Teajuana was having fun tiring them. She kept up her pace, never seeming fatigued where as the others were straggling to catch up.

“Damn, she’s fast,” one panted.

“Why. . .you run? Stand. . .and fi. . .ght!: the other challenged through pants.

“What’s the matter? Can’t keep up with me?” she taunted, “Why waste my time fighting low level boys?”

Both assassins had their strength renewed and began chasing her again, soon finding themselves on the roof. Teajuana looked down and frowned. People were pointing up to her, and a small crowd had gathered.

“Where are you going to go now?” one of the assassins taunted.

“It’s a long and fatale drop you know,” commented the other.

“I may not be educated, boys, but I’m not stupid.” Teajuana turned and smiled, “But from where I’m standing, jumping seems like a pretty good idea.” Her confident smirk confused the two young men, and both moved to stop her from taking the plunge as she stepped back onto the edge.

“Don’t jump!” the two yelled as one foot moved over the edge.

“Tell Suzaku he hasn’t seen the last of me.” And then her being fell from sight. Both men ran over and looked down to see the red-haired woman grabbing hold of a flag-like banner, riding it down to the overhang of the entrance. Once there, she jumped down and raced off, away from the crowd and museum.

::Bastet, don’t you ever do that again!:: the cards exclaimed in a panicked frenzy.

::Oh, come on, guys. That was fun! And what a rush! Almost didn’t think I was going to make it!:: she replied once they got home. ::It was fun, but I shouldn’t risk my life like that.::

::Please, don’t.:: Magician of Black Chaos pleaded.

::I won’t.:: Just then, Teajuana’s cell rang. Only a few had her number, but she still wondered who would be calling. “Bastet,” she answered, stating who the other called.

“Bastet, are you alright?” Isis asked, sounding worried.

“I’m fine, Isis. Don’t worry about me,” the younger replied.

“Good. I was wondering if you would meet me here at the museum, and we could go to a cafe. Maybe get something to drink,” the other offered.

“Alright. I have a feeling you want to talk.”

“Yes, Bastet.”

“I’ll be there soon.” Teajuana hung up and left for the museum again.

“You want me to do what?!” Teajuana nearly shouted.

“I just want you to sneak onto Kaiba’s blimp when the time comes. Either that or be my guest. Kaiba doesn’t know it yet, but four other’s won’t be dueling but will still be spectators. That’s all I want you to do,” the other explained calmly.

“I’ll see what I can do, but you never know when a child will need me,” the younger reasoned.

“Of course.” Isis sipped at her tea before changing the subject. “So what brings you here to Japan?”

“Well, I wanted to save Egypt from the Underground Assassins who are trying to kill me for some reason. That’s why I left earlier. They’re always spying on me, but I can handle them.”

“How has Yonnie been taking it?”

“I don’t think he wanted me to leave without him. I thought it would’ve been safer with Yoseph than with me.”

“Wise choice. Bastet, would you do me the honor of looking over my cards? I’d like to makre Ire I’m treating them properly.”

“Eh, why not?” Teajuana took the deck offered and concentrated on the chatter within the deck. “Why do I not here Obelisk?” she asked while still listening.

“I gave him to Seto Kaiba. I had thought Kaiba could use him.”

“Giving an Egyptian God Monster with that kind of power to a rich snob like him is not a good thing. You’ll be lucky to get it back. Other than that, you’ve been treating them well. Be sure to try to play all of them ne tne time or another. You’ll be more familiar with your deck if you do.”

“Thank you, Bastet. I only wish I had your kind of power.”

“So you can plan ever move like Pegasus? That’s why I gave up dueling. The cards want to be known. They want to live again. And I vow to release them.”

“And you will one day.” Isis watched as Teajuana’s eyes began to fog over and the girl stand.

“We will have to finish this later Isis for I must go,” the young woman said in a distracted tone.

“Of course.” The redhead had left the cafe before Isis could finish the last word.
