Blurs and shadows
It was dark for a long time, for Yami it seemed
to be only a second. He awoke to blury objects
he couldn't place. Shadows walking by and talking
softly but he couldn't understand them. Against
his body was a cool crisp sheet that was just placed.
"He could feel a hand holding his pressing against
his leathery no-sleeve shirt. He tried to speak but
only gasps of air escaped his mouth. Immages
he couldn't see regained color gradually. He still
didn't understand where he was. A hand swept across
his head. He felt a restricting cloth like sheet wrapped
around his head that he didn't notice until it was touched.
"Hey wake up." Yuugi's voice made Yami feel a little less
tense. Yami cleared his throat and attempted to speak
agian.
"Where am I?" Yami's voice was nothing but a whisper.
"The hospital." Yuugi said.
"What happened?" Yami asked.
"Ryou and Malik broke into the store last night. Jichan
called the cops on them. We found you on the floor."
Yuugi said. "I'm glad your alright." Yuugi said as Yami
looked at him. He still saw colored blurs but now could
understand one of the shadows was Yuugi sitting on the
side of his bed.
"Where are they?" Yami asked.
"They got caught by the cops, they're getting locked up for
good." Yuugi said. "They're too crazy to be exacuted, too
dangerous to be at the clinic where there are chances to get out."
Yuugi explained.
"Is my dad ok?" Yami asked.
"The nurse told me he was released this morning." Yuugi said as
Aki came into the room.
"Hey umm, Yuugi, can you leave the room for a moment, I need to
talk to my son." Aki said.
"Alright, Yami I'll be in the waiting room ok." Yuugi said then gave him
a light kiss on the cheek, then left the room.
