Chapter 6
Kaiba sent a private limo to pick up the five friends. He told his driver to drop him, Jou, and Honda (who was still unconscious) off at Kaiba Corp. headquarters. Yami and Yugi were to be taken to “Safehouse Number 3-A”. The limo driver nodded at those instructions and drove back into the forest after the other three clambered out of the car. (Honda still looked faint, although he had woken up.) Yugi held Yami’s hand to reassure him that everything would be fine. Yami smiled at Yugi weakly, wondering what he had done to deserved such a wonderful mate.

Seto immediately set to work discrediting Anzu. He had his people dig up dirt on her, from past boyfriends she cheated ans stole from, to horrible lies she’d made about others. All the nasty information from her past was leaked to the media, who ate it up like it was the sweetest candies. Little Miss Anzu, the one who bravely witnessed and reported what the monster haunting Domino looked like, was a big fat lair. No one believed her story longer than the one day between her story and Seto’s reaching the papers. The girl was just looking for attention, she was a pathetic child.
Anzu was furious someone had ruined her reputation like that. She swore to get back at Yugi and every last one of his friends until she hunted down that wolf and destroyed it.

Yugi and Yami only spent one night in the Kaiba Forest Fortress before Seto himself came to pick them up. He opened the door for them and drove his large SUV out of the forest and back to the city, pretending to have picked up two friends who had spent the night out camping. He even had had camping gear stored away in the car that he placed on the hood after getting the werewolf and his mate.
Seto smiled at them through the rearview mirror. “No one will believe a word out of that slut’s mouth for the rest of her miserable existence,” he declared, smirking. Yugi and Yami smiled happily.
“You sure she’s off our case,” Yami asked, still worried. Seto nodded.
“For now, at least. I’m sure she plans retaliation, but I plan to be ready for her with a counterattack. Now, you two should just pretend nothing’s happened and let me handle the witch,” the weredragon growled. Yugi gulped, knowing that look from when he saw Yami angry once. He hoped Anzu would give up and fast, or else she may not have another chance!
