Chapter 6


Three days had gone by and they hadn’t been attacked which was making both Saphrion and Joey feel a little uneasy. Saphrion thought maybe now was the best time to go back to heaven and report to the high council what has been happening.

“Tell us Saphrion how much longer will you stay with this human it is not our concern what happens to him he is a dark angel after all you should not get yourself involved remember your place here in heaven you’re a power and it is your obligation to give out the punishments and keep the cycle between heaven and hell spinning in the right direction”.

‘That’s exactly what I’m doing why can’t anyone see that’ Saphrion thought to himself he wanted to tell them that himself but decided not to. “I humbly apologise I realise dearly that I have been putting of my duties as a power however there are reasons for my absence”.

“Then explain why it is you are staying on earth with the human” Saphrion had to come up with something quick. “The reason is that I am teaching the human how to keep his power under control even though he is only a half dark angel there is still much he needs to learn”.

“That would be Lucifer’s job not yours Saphrion even you should know that since he isn’t an archangel”. “I do know that however as a power I must make sure that his power is used in the correct manner before he goes and works for the underworld since I do not trust Lucifer” Saphrion said.

“Very well you may stay on earth and help this human but when the time comes for him to go to hell and work under Lucifer you must return to heaven at once is that clear Saphrion”. Saphrion bowed and promised he would return to heaven then left the council and go back to earth.

Before he could do that all six archangels Michael, Gabriel, Jophiel, Raphael, Uriel and Zadiel stood before him. “You lied to them didn’t you Saphrion” Michael said “that is not your concern”.

“There is something we wish to give you before you leave, Raphael the scripture” Raphael handed over a scripture to Michael. “Take this you will need it Saphrion in the power of need” Michael gave it to Saphrion.

Saphrion opened the scripture “wait but this is forbidden for a power to use only the chosen archangels can use this” he was basically meaning that only Michael and the other five angels who followed him could use it.

“We do know but all six of us have decided however you was once one of us remember” Michael smiled. “Even though you were punished yourself we still think of you as a member of our group god can not take that away from us” Uriel patted Saphrion on the shoulder.

Michael went up to Saphrion and gave him a hug before whispering in his ear “you must promise that you will come back to heaven alive”. Saphrion just nodded his head “thankyou my friends” then the archangel vanished leaving six silver feathers behind.

Michael picked them all up and handed one over to each of his comrades “do you think Saphrion will use it Michael” Gabriel asked. Michael looked at the feather “I don’t think that he will need it but just in case he gets into serious trouble I’m sure he will use it” Michael replied.

Down in hell Lucifer was enjoying the company of one of his dark angels “master is their anything I can do for you” it was a female. “In fact there is bring me my coat I have decided to visit an old friend”.

In a small hotel room Joey had just finished having a shower when he saw Saphrion sitting on the bed. Their was only one double bed which they both had to share “Saphrion I will sleep on the floor so you can have the bed” Joey said.

Saphrion just ignored Joey and went into the bathroom to also take a shower even though he didn’t need one since archangels don’t get dirty and smelly. Of course Joey needed the room so he could get changed without prying eyes.

When Saphrion hopped out of the shower he turned around to see the two scars on his back were his wings appear. No other angel in heaven had these marks besides him, Saphrion never told anyone about them.

It was uncommon for an archangel to have these marks of course Saphrion was very different than any other archangel. He had secrets that no one else knew about except for god.

Saphrion remembered the punishment he was given after committing such a sin but wasn’t banished to the underworld which he still didn’t understand.

Saphrion couldn’t sleep at all he sat up and just looked out the window “couldn’t sleep either huh”. Joey also couldn’t sleep and also sat up even though he was on the floor he could still see Saphrion’s face and the confused expression on the archangel’s face.

“Is something wrong Saphrion” Joey asked “what do you think of me Joey” Saphrion turned around to look at the human. “What do I think of you is this a trick question or something” Joey was to now confused.

“I mean if you knew the real me what would you think of me” Joey looked at Saphrion puzzled. “Well I wouldn’t think any differently of you I mean you’re a descent enough so basically theirs nothing about you that I would think badly or anything” Joey told him.

“Then maybe I should tell you my most darkest secret that I have not told anyone before and then you might think differently of me” Saphrion said. Joey wasn’t sure he was going to like this what was it that could make the archangel sound like a bad person.

“I created a great sin thousands of years ago one which no archangel should ever do, firstly you should know is that I use to be an ‘archangel of truth’ that is what Michael and the others are”.

“You mean Raphael, Gabriel and the other remaining four which many humans know about” Joey asked. “That’s correct I use to be one of them an archangel of truth is the highest rank for any angel in heaven their duty is something much greater than mine”.

Saphrion kept explaining everything “the sin I committed was falling in love with someone who was defiantly forbidden by”. “Wait a second you fell in love with some one which wasn’t either human or dark angel that’s what you’re saying right” Saphrion nodded his head.

“Then who was it you fell in love with” Joey asked “I fell in love with Satan” Saphrion clenched his fists in the sheets. Joey couldn’t believe it “you mean Lucifer right but I thought you said he was a dark angel since he was banished from heaven”.

“To the archangels he is known to be a dark angel but to god Lucifer is the devil, when Lucifer was in heaven both he and I were very close I was completely in love with him but was devastated that he went against god and was banished to the underworld”.

“The only ones who knew of my love for Lucifer was Michael and god, Michael begged me to forget about Lucifer and to let my feelings go otherwise god would punish me which I very well knew but I couldn’t let go of the feelings I felt for Lucifer”.

Saphrion was now getting mad with himself “when I refused to not stop loving Lucifer god got angry he could have banished me but decided to allow me to stay in heaven but will no longer be an archangel of truth, god also clipped my wings and told me I had to earn them” Saphrion removed his shirt.

“As you can see I to have the same scars as you I never use to but since god took my wings away I had to earn gods trust and obey his commands to get my wings back even if I would be scared, over the years I became cold but the moment my wings returned god gave me the position of being a power”.

Joey couldn’t believe what he was hearing “I will never gain the position of becoming an archangel of truth and if I disobey god again he will not forgive me”. “What if it does happen again what will your punishment be will you be sent to the underworld” Joey asked.

“No much worse, I will disappear and cease to exist” Saphrion told Joey “what you mean you will die” the angel nodded his head. “That’s not fair none of this is, god punished my mum for loving my dad turning her into a dark angel and he is going to punish you by making you disappear”.

“You should not blame god about your mother Joey you should blame me” Joey looked up at Saphrion. “It was I who sent her their I was the one who punished your mother” a punch was soon landed on Saphrion’s face.

Saphrion knew that would happen since Joey didn’t even know that “you were the one who did it why tell me Saphrion why did it have to be you that had to punish my mother WHY” tears were coming down Joey’s face.

“Did you not listen the first time I am a power and as a power it is my job to punish those who disobeyed the rules, didn’t I tell you that you would think differently of me” Saphrion explained to him.

“But why, why you after being saved by you countless times I thought yeah this guys alright all this time I hated that your job was to punish those who didn’t follow those stupid rules, I kept saying to myself surly there is away I can help him and now this”.

Joey let go “I don’t know why I’m crying and why this is happening but when ever you leave me I feel a great emptiness inside of me, its as if I’m afraid you wont come back when I told you we should go our separate ways I was happy when you grabbed my wrist and told me you wont allow that” Joey was still crying but not as much.

“I remembered something my dad told me he said that having these feelings can only prove one thing that your in love, could this be possible could I really have fallen in love with you Saphrion even though its forbidden is it I that will cause your downfall and have god vanish you from heaven and here”.

Saphrion lifted Joey’s chin up so he could see him and he smiled at the human “what you told me brought great warmth to my heart Joey thankyou” and with that Saphrion slowly bent down and kissed Joey on the lips.

It was a forbidden kiss of a life time the one kiss that could change everything but could also be the end of Saphrion.

Man this is really starting to go some were there is only going to be a few more chapters to go will it be a happy ending or a sad ending well you will just have to wait for the next chapter…
