Chapter 6: Pegasus Crawford

“So, who’s our next victim?” I ask.

“I really want to see Yami, but of course this is going to be quite difficult.” Begins Mai. “So, how about Pegaus or Otogi? They have some free time between tapings for a while.”

“Which one?” asks Ishizu.

“I know!” I say. “Let’s do…”

“Please Yugi, hurry and get here.”

{Laughter is heard from the window.}

“You are…NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

“And cut!” yells the director. “Great job Pegasus. Great job Mai.”

“Awww Pegsus, why are you telling me no?” Mai says as she sits on Pegasus’ desk and ruffles his hair.

“I can never say that to you, Mai.” He replies winking.

“I’m flattered, Pegasus.”

Oh gag me…

“What’s going on between the two of them?”

I jump as Ishizu comes up to me from behind.

“I don’t know…”

“Don’t forget we have to get him sometime today. He does have one more scene to do before his temporary time off takes effect.” Says Ishizu.”

“But, what about Mai?” I ask. “She’s gonna kill us if we leave her out.”

“Yea, but she’s working hard. Now, come on!” Ishizu says as she grabs onto my shoulder and drags me towards Mai’s trailer.

I follow Ishizu to Mai’s trailer as she opens the door. We go in and to the computer room.

“So, Ishizu, when am I going to do this?” I ask as she sets up the equipment.

“Who knows? You’re the best at catching them off guard. Besides, it was your idea to do this.”

“Yea, I know. Pegasus is one of the harder ones to figure.” I say sitting in the chair next to Ishizu. “I don’t know if he’s gay, straight, or bi.”

“Well, now our results will be very interesting then Shizuka.”

“I know. The way that he and Mai have been flirting lately has me in question.”

“I see what you mean. I saw him and Kaiba together a few days ago.”

“They always hang out Ishizu.”

“Yea, but in a corner of the studio kissing?”

“What??”

“And not to mention that he and Cecelia are ‘steady’.”

“Doesn’t she play his wife in the show?”

“Yea. I think the two of them are together also. Even though she’s not on as a character, she still hangs around here a lot.”

“Yea, but I thought that was his sister…or cousin…”

“Nope.”

I lean back in my chair and prop my feet on the foot rest of Ishizu’s chair.

“Shall we wait until the end of Pegasus’ scenes before…?”

“It’s up to you.”

Ishizu and I turn towards the door to see Mai.

“I believe he likes men more than anything. He just flirts with me and Cecelia to keep suspicions down.” Mai says as she sits on the sofa.

“Really? Are you sure about that Mai?” I ask. “The way the two of you have been flirting lately makes me think there’s something more going on between the two of you.”

“It’s only a front. Believe me. It’ll be like flirting with Yugi and we know who he got his eyes on.”

“Yami.” Ishizu and I say at the same time.

“We need to find out who his love interest really is.” Suggests Ishizu.

“I agree.” I say standing up and getting the video camera.

“So, when are you going to get him? He has to do that green screen shot in a few minutes.” Says Mai.

“Right after. Who knows when the time will arise?” I reply.

Ishizu pins the camera on my upper right shirt.

We leave the trailer and go to the green screen set to watch the scene. Mai, Ishizu, and I find a sofa large enough for the three of us as we look at Mai’s script. There are a few props around the set, but for the most part it’s bare.

The scene goes well as everyone remembers their lines.

“Great job everyone! Take 10 and we’ll start with Yami vs. Raphael!” yells the director.

Everyone leaves the set and I take notice of Pegasus and Yami talking. What is that?! Is Yami really…

“Look….” I mutter.

“No…way…” I hear Mai mutter.

“So, who is he with? Or is Pegasus getting it from whoever gives it up?” asks Ishizu.

“I see what my task is…” I reluctantly say.

“Who knows, he could be bi…” says Ishizu.

“Ryou is bi. He even invited me to join his festivities.” I say standing, even though my eyes are glued to the two males in the corner of the set.

“What do you think they could be talking about?” asks Mai.

“I have no idea. But I really want to find out.” I say. “See you later.”

I slowly walk towards the corner of the set where the two men are intently talking. Occasionally, one of them will lovingly caress the others’ cheek.

My eyes catch a glimpse of Yugi who is looking very agitated. This isn’t…

“Nani…They’re kissing…”

I hear three gasps, one from Ishizu and Mai, and the other from Yugi who looks like he could rip someone’s head off…

This…isn’t good. I watch as Yugi storms towards Yami and drag him away.

“Aibou! Aibou!!! I wasn’t doing anything!” pleads Yami as he disappears into the trailer.

That was…weird…

My attention turns back to Pegasus who is standing in the corner with a very blank stare on his face. He eventually shrugs it off and walks towards the lounge. Now is my time!

“Pegasus!”

Dammit! It’s Kaiba!

I step back and watch the two of them talk.

“So, what are you up to?”

I jump as Anzu scares me.

“What do you want?” I ask keeping my eyes on Pegasus and Kaiba.

“I just want to hang out. I have some free time. Maybe I can help you.”

“Help me? Ha! The only way you’ll be helping if you go far away.”

“Awww Shizuka, you’re so harsh.”

“That’s only because you’re that thorn stuck in my foot. I just need to pick you and throw you away.”

“That’s not nice Shizuka. You know I can go and tell everyone what you three are doing.”

“Like anyone would believe you.”

“So, who’s your target this time? Kaiba? Or Pegasus?”

“None of your business.”

“Shizuka-chan!!”

I turn around and see Jou walking towards me and Anzu.

“Hey, what are the two of you doing here?” he asks.

“I was just minding my business onii-chan when Anzu comes up.” I reply.

“Oh, really? Hey Anzu…” Jou says before whispering something in Anzu’s ear. From her expression she really likes what she hears as she darts off.

“Thanks, onii-chan.”

“No problem. Now why are you looking at Pegasus and Seto like that?”

“No reason. Just wandering what they are talking about. Besides I need to ask Pegasus something.” I reply.

“Oh really? I’ll get Seto away from him for you.”

“Really? Thanks onii-chan!”

Jou walks towards the two and whispers something in Kaiba’s ear. The two quickly leave towards the trailers. I wonder what Jou told him??

Pegasus continues his journey towards the lounge and I follow him, hoping for no more distractions.

He walks over to the drink machine and gets a bottle of Coke and then to the vending machine and gets a ham and cheese sandwich. He then sits down and starts to eat.

Good, he’s alone.

I casually walk in, and act ‘surprised’ to see Pegasus sitting alone.

“Pegasus! How are you?” I ask.

“I’m great. I just want to grab a quick snack before the next scenes start.”

I get a bag of chips and a soda from the machine and sit at a table across from him. In a way I’m a bit intimidated by him. He still has the face mask on and his hair occasionally falls from his left eye, revealing the eyeless socket.

“You’re such a sweet girl Shizuka.” Pegasus says as he takes a moment between halves of the sandwich. “Your acting skills are great.”

“Thanks.” I reply. “You’re a great actor yourself, but don’t tell Jou I said that, or he’ll get jealous.”

“I bet he will.” He replies laughing.

“Pegasus, I have some questions to ask you. They are a little personal, but I was just wandering these things about you.”

I take a deep breath and act like I’m scratching just above the ‘pin’ to make sure it’s on.

‘It’s about damn time.’ I hear Mai say from the mic in my ear.

“How personal are we talking?”

“Sex life. I saw you with Yami earlier and I came up with these questions.”

“Go ahead.”

“First, have you ever had any sexual attraction towards any of the other cast members? If so, who?”

“Hmmm, are you trying to secretly flirt with me Shizuka?” he asks.

Mai wasn’t lying when she said that he tries to mask his true self. He’s been with males, yet on camera he wants to do females.

‘Go there!’ I hear Ishizu yell in my ear.

I press the ‘O’ on the pin and sigh.

“Why don’t you go? He wants you Ishizu.”

‘Yea, he does, but then he would know that you told me.’

“Fulfill his wish…” I say shrugging.

‘I would love to; I would have to get with him another time. But right now, it’s up to you Shizuka. We got to get the answer to the 5th question. I would love to be in your shoes right now…’

“You are more than welcome to have them.”

‘Nah. He wants to demonstrate using you. You have to tell me how it felt. I’ll be here watching everything on the screen, but I want you to tell me…’

“Ok, time is almost up; I guess I’ll be heading on.”

‘Ok, we’ll be here.’

I press the ‘O’ on the pin and begin my journey to Pegasus’ trailer. I walk past Kaiba and Jou who are talking with Honda and Otogi. I spot Mai talking to Varon, Dartz, and Almeda.

The trailer rows… Here’s Pegasus’…

I walk up the stairs and knock on the door.

“Come in.”

Hesitantly I turn the knob and pull the door open before walking in and closing it behind me.

Pegasus has a nice trailer, nothing out of the ordinary. The curtains, sofa, and carpet are a mahogany-red color. Even the walls have mahogany-colored designs on it.

“Nice.”

“Thanks. I designed this myself.”

I turn around and see Pegasus in a mahogany-red silk robe. He has his silver hair pulled back into a loose ponytail with a few stray strands draping across his face.

“I’m glad you took your mask off. That really freaks me out.”

“Blame Kura for that. He was the one that took my eye.” He says laughing. “Now, do you want your answer?”

“Yes.” I say softly.

“It doesn’t sound like you want it. I can just leave you.” He says as he embraces me and rubs his hands across my breasts. “They’re softer than I thought. And your nipples are hard. Can I?”

I finally regain enough composure to smile. I can tell it’s a dim-witted smile as Ishizu and Mai laugh.

“I haven’t had a man leave me looking that way since my 1st time.” Mai says as she takes the pin from me.

“Details. Video can only tell us so much. How did he feel?” asks Ishizu.

“Amazing…” was the only word I knew to say as I flopped down on the sofa.

“It seems that our best bet would be to leave her be for a moment while she recovers.” Mai says.

“Well then, who shall we do next?” asks Mai.

“You want to try for Yami?”

“He’s going to be the hardest one to get Ishizu, especially after today and tomorrow’s shootings.”

“What do you mean?”

“Not for spoilers, but Yugi’s soul will get taken and it will be Yami by himself until further notice. My scripts only go up to where Yami will duel against Haga and Jou against Ryuzaki.”

“If he doesn’t work, then what about Jou?”

“We could always do Malik or Marik.” I say.

“So, who is it going to be?” asks Ishizu.

“It’s up to you, Shizuka.”

“Up to me…ok then, I’ll do…”
