Chapter 6: So Called Friends’ help
Joey made it to Yugi’s house by about two o’clock. Lucky for him Yugi was home, but Tea, Tristan, and Yami were there too. Sighing Joey knocked on the door. A few minutes later Yugi’s grandfather answered the door.
“Hello, how can I help you?” Yugi’s grandfather asked eyeing Joey. ‘Pervert’ was the first thing on Joey’s mind.
“Um, is Yugi here?” Joey asked as politely as possible. The old man frowned, but turned. “Come on in, I’ll go get him for you.”
After he said that, he went to the staircase and called up, “Yugi, there’s a girl here to see you.”
A few moments later Yugi and the others came down. Tristan looked like he’d have a bloody nose, Tea looked unfazed, Yugi looked confused, and Yami looked annoyed.
“Um, can I help you miss?” Yugi asked timidly.
“Oh god, ya mean ya don’t recognize me Yug’?” I said upset.
“Huh!?!” Yugi was now confused again.
“You sound familiar.” Tea said.
“She sounds sexy.” Tristan said drooling.
“Shut Up, Tristan. It isn’t funny.” I was starting to get really upset.
“She sounds like Joey, that’s who she sounds like.” Yami pointed out.
“Huh! Joey, is that really you? What happened to you? You look like a girl.” Yugi asked now concerned.
“I know Yug’, I don’t just look like one either. I am one.” Joey said almost in tears.
“Oh, no way. This is great, hey Joey what do they look like?” Tristan asked excited.
The next thing anyone knew, Tristan was out the window. “Yep, that’s Joey. So how’d this happen?” Yami asked while Yugi was checking that Tristan was still in one piece.
“I have no clue. None, I had hoped you’d know what to do. Can’t you do something Yami?” Joey asked as calmly as possible.
“Sorry, I can’t do anything about gender change. Maybe Seto can help.” Yami answered.
“NO! Seto can’t find out about this. I’d never hear the end of it.” Joey said.
“Okay, so what do you want to do Joey?” Yami asked annoyed, even though he understood.
“Um… Yug’ any ideas?” Joey asked, Yugi sighed.
“Well, you can’t go to school like that. It was hard enough for them to accept Yami…” Yugi started.
“THAT’S IT!!!” Tea interrupted.
“What is?” Yugi asked.
“We’ll have Joey go as Yami’s wife from Ancient Egypt. It’s perfect.” Tea said smiling while Joey stared and Yami’s eyebrow twitched.
“Unfortunately, she’s right guys; it’s the only choice we have, unless we tell Seto.” Yugi said eyeing Yami.
“No, the last thing I need is for Seto’s big head to inflate anymore.” Joey said waving her arms around.
“Alright, it’s decided. Now it’s time to turn you into the queen of Egypt, Joey. Yugi while I take Joey shopping work with Yami on how he has to treat his wife. They may have to kiss at some point.” Tea said.
“What!?!” Yami and Joey both exclaimed before Tea dragged Joey out of the room, effectively ending the discussion.
