Chapter 6
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Yami yelped, forcing himself to move. He sat up painfully, despite the 'holy' affects of the 'prayer' against him, and threw himself at Mikado snarling in fury. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" he shrieked in a most terrifying way. He brought his good wing down on Mikado's head harshly several times. "He is MY human!" he howled kicking Mikado away once he was sure he was dazed enough to stay back. He hurried over to Ahmose and removed the dagger slowly. "Ahmose... are you ok?" he cooed softly, giving him a worried look.
The blood began to flow quickly as soon as the blade was removed, from the wound and from Ahmose's mouth as he gasped for breath. Mikado slowly got to his feet, grasping his sword and walking straight for Yami, a determined look on his face.
Yami growled, flaring his one good wing and shielding Ahmose with it. "Get a doctor for him..." he hissed. "You can kill me later. Is it not your duty to protect your own kind?" He glared boldly into Mikado's eyes. "I won’t leave without him, so if you MUST kill me, at least get him a doctor first."
Mikado glared. "He's defended a demon. He has forsaken his own kind and is therefore not owed any protection." He said coldly, leveling the tip of his blade at Yami's chest.
"It's your job to protect him none the less... Humans sin, and sins are forgiven." Yami hissed not moving. "Isn't it your own God who said ‘let he without sin can cast the first stone’?"
The Vatican Agent frowned slightly. On the ground, Ahmose was staring at him, a look of confusion on his face. But then, recognition.
"... M-Mika... Mikado?"
Mikado blinked and looked down upon hearing his name. He stared at Ahmose for a few moments, no expression on his face, but then, slowly, his eyes widened and he lowered his sword as his mouth fell open in shock.
Yami growled. "Oh good, now that we all know who the hell we are, a DOCTOR might be good!" Yami howled sarcastically.
Ryou looked around frantically, his horse prancing in place with his own worry, he urged her back into the town. "HELP! MARIK!" he called frantically. "MARIK!"
Mikado flung his sword aside and shoved Yami, dropping to his knees by Ahmose and pressing his gloved hands against the bleeding wound.
"No!" He gasped frantically. "No no no no no! Ryou! RYOU!! RYOU HELP ME!!! PLEASE!!!"
"Let GO of me, Bakura!" Marik shouted, struggling.
Bakura groaned. "Ah hell..." he mumbled letting go. "Humans fuck up everything...I'm going to bed." he mumbled wandering away, taking the underground tunnel from the tavern to the inn, to escape the sun. (it was put there specifically for when vampires stayed up 'too early'.
Ryou whined looking around frantically. "MARIK! HELP!" he looked terrified.
Marik charged across the square to Ryou, wrapping his hands around the boy's waist and lifting him from the horse, hugging him. "Ryou..." He gasped, then turned. "Come on! You have to help!" He tugged Ryou towards Mikado, Yami and Ahmose.
Ryou sniffled. "B-but my magic!" he whimpered following Marik quickly. "I...I'm not sure I CAN help!"
"You have to try!" Mikado cried, looking up at Ryou frantically, tears in his eyes. "PLEASE!!! Ryou! It's Ahmose! He's my brother!!! PLEASE!!!"
Ryou whimpered and nodded. "Oh I h-hate life or death situations...." he whimpered gently pushing Mikado's hands from the wound and closing his eyes. "Please heal..." he breathed, praying hard for the magic he'd need to heal the elder brother.
With a soft pained whimper, Ryou's hand began to glow softly, and the wound began to heal in it's usual rapid fashion. After nearly five minutes, Ryou pulled his hand away, and wavered. "A-ah....he'll be ok..." he mumbled, looking ready to pass out.
Marik quickly knelt and wrapped an arm around Ryou. Mikado quickly moved to his brother again, grabbing his shoulders. Ahmose stared up at him.
"... it's really you..." He gasped, staring at his brother and smiling. "Mikado... I... I thought you were dead... I came home... four years ago... the village had been burned to the ground..." Mikado smiled.
"Yes... it burned down three years after you left. Bandits raided the village and killed almost everyone... A Vatican Agent took me to Rome..." Mikado said.
Yami snorted, glaring at Mikado. "Do you mind? I think you owe him an apology, you just nearly KILLED him." He growled warningly. "AND you messed up my wing! I should tear you up!" He whined. "But my wing hurts...fucking FUCK."
Ryou whined loudly. "LANGUAGE!"
Marik chuckled at Ryou, but then walked over to Yami. “Umm… here… let me see…” He said, looking at Yami’s wounded wing.
Yami's good wing flared up and he hissed. "Back off!"
Marik jumped. "I'm not gonna hurt you!" He gasped.
"Back off!" Yami growled, wrapping his tail around Ahmose's waist and pulling him close, crooning over him and glaring warningly at Mikado.
Mikado glared right back. "Let GO of him!"
"Oh yeah sure and let you stab him some more? Bite my sexy incubus ass!"
Yami snorted growling.
Mikado growled. "If I had KNOWN, I wouldn't have HURT him!!!" He shouted, picking up the knife again.
"Enough!!" Ahmose coughed, wiping blood from his mouth and sitting up. "BOTH of you!!!"
Yami hugged Ahmose quietly, glaring at Mikado, but he listened to Ahmose, stopping the verbal fighting, though it was easy to tell both incubus and Vatican Agent were highly pissed at the other.
Ahmose frowned and pulled Yami closer, looking at his wing. "Hmmm... looks like you'll need stitches..." He said softly.
Yami hissed at him. “Don’t touch it." he snorted. "Like hell if a needle's coming at ME."
Ahmose frowned. "Don't be a baby." He said.
"I can be a baby if I want! It's cold, I got kicked off your horse, attacked be a fucking crazy Vatican Agent and my wing hurts! I think that entitles me to some whining!" Yami said throwing his hands up.
Ahmose snorted. "Fine. Whine all you want." He stood slowly and rubbed his chest where he had been stabbed. Mikado stood as well.
"... I'm so sorry..." The Agent gasped, sniffling. Ahmose turned and stared at him. Mikado stared back. "I'm sorry..." Ahmose blinked but smiled and shook his head and threw his arms around the boy, hugging him tightly. Mikado returned the embrace, bursting into tears. Marik blinked.
"... what's going on?"
Ryou nuzzled into Marik's arms. "That's Mikado's brother...they were separated when they were very young." Ryou said softly, yawning.
Marik's eyes widened. "Mikado's BROTHER?!"
Ryou nodded. "Cant you see the resemblance?"
Marik nodded dumbly, eyes wide.
Ryou sighed softly. "A-Ahmose was it? Why are you in the company of a demon?"
Ahmose blinked and slowly turned and looked at Ryou. "... Who are you?"
Ryou blushed and bit his lip. "A friend of your brother?"
Ahmose blinked and nodded, then turned and smiled. "Yami... this is my baby brother, Mikado. Mikado... this is Yami." Mikado blinked and eyed Yami, warily.
Yami returned the wary look tail lashing uneasily. "Hi."
Ahmose sighed and shook his head.
"So...why are you with a demon?" Ryou asked once more.
Ahmose smiled. "It's a long story."
Ryou smiled back. "Well...as I am fatigued once more...we have time to hear it."
Ahmose blinked, but smiled. "Alright." He said with a nod.
"Yeah, I wanna hear this too..." Mikado grumbled, scowling. Ahmose blinked and looked at him.
"... I'm going to guess that this is the Agent talking."
"I was RAISED by the Vatican."
"... True."
Yami snorted. "I hate Vatican Agents..." he said slowly standing. "Right along with pixies and dwarves."
Mikado glared. "And I hate demons. ESPECIALLY Incubi!"
Yami smirked and flicked his tail. "Envy is a sin." Yami cooed.
Mikado blinked. "Envy?!"
Yami smirked. "Indeed. You envy the fact that I've had more time with brother-dear than you. I'm sure my dashing good looks aren't overlooked either." he snickered folding his good wing.
Ryou coughed out a giggle, though it was undetermined if it was at Mikado or Yami.
Mikado narrowed his eyes, growling. "You filthy demon..." Ahmose frowned.
"Yami! Stop antagonizing him! Please!" He walked over to Yami and stared him in the eye. "Yami... I haven't seen my brother in thirteen years, I thought he was dead... DON'T you dare do this..."
Yami snorted. "I'm a demon. I don’t play nice, and I don’t SHARE well."
Ahmose glared. "He's my BROTHER."
"Hello? He stabbed you." Yami snorted.
"He was only doing his job." Ahmose said softly. "If I'd gotten the chance, I would have stabbed him, too."
"Yes...but the difference between you and him, is you're a touch more observant." Yami said calmly. "You both had the chance to kill me...one of you was wise enough to leave me be...the other..." he glared at Mikado. "Still wants me dead."
"Let me talk to him." Ahmose said, laying a hand on Yami's shoulder. "And there was another difference. I thought you were going to rape me, but you didn't. You showed me that you're different. I can beleive that a demon can be good. He's been raised by the Vatican. It's going to be hard for him to accept the idea that you're not evil. PLEASE... Yami, I'm begging you. Don't give him any more reasons to want to kill you, okay?"
Yami growled, bristling visibly. "Vatican people piss me off."
Ahmose narrowed his eyes. "Yami..." He hissed. "Don't you DARE do this... if you make me choose between you and brother, I will NEVER forgive you."
Yami raised an eyebrow. "I won’t make you choose. But I won’t stay around while 'little brother' is trying to kill me. I've got better things to do."
"He's not trying to kill you now! He's willing to hear me out about you. If he's willing to give you a chance, then I want you to give HIM a chance. PLEASE." Ahmose said, taking Yami's hands.
Yami growled once more. "Fine...." he said with great dissatisfaction. "This ONCE."
Ahmose smiled, releived, and he hugged Yami, tightly. "Thank you..." He gasped, then whispered, "I owe you a... feast..." He purred, licked at Yami's ear, then turned and walked over to Mikado, embracing him again.
Yami closed his eyes and looked away, tail lashing. He said he'd give Mikado a chance. He never agreed to enjoy it. "You going to answer the priest or not?"
Ahmose sighed. "Can we go in? It's cold, and I'm hungry." He said. Mikado smiled and nodded, and the group headed for the Tavern. They all sat down and the tavern keeper brought them fresh fruit, bread, and oatmeal. Ahmose sighed.
"Where shall I begin?" He mused, looking at Yami and smiling. "It was just a little over a year ago. I was traveling alone through the woods, when I was tackled right off of my horse and found myself being pinned down by an Incubus." Mikado shot a glare at Yami.
Yami met Mikado's glare with a hiss. "Back off froofy or I'll rip your face off." he growled.
Ryou giggled helping himself to some oatmeal and fruit. "mmmmm." he grinned and offered a spoonful to Marik. "Want some?"
"Hmm? Oh. No thank you. I'm waiting for the bacon." Marik said, wagging his tail.
"Yami, knock it off." Ahmose snapped. "He said he was hungry and I looked appetizing. Needless to say, I struggled and shouted at him to get off, and the next thing I knew, he had let me go and was pouting. He said he refused to take me against my will. We got to talking, and finally, I invited him to travel with me." Ahmose said. Mikado raised his eyebrows.
"You trusted an Incubus?" He asked.
"Everyone deserves a chance." Ahmose said, and Mikado frowned and looked down.
Yami grumbled and picked up an apple with his tail and gave Mikado a look. "I didn't do anything wrong. He said no, so I left him alone. I didn't even TOUCH you." He transferred the apple to his hands and took a bite. He sometimes ate with Ahmose like this, but as he'd explained, the act was more for show than anything as it provided no sustenance.
Ahmose chuckled. "So, Yami and I have been traveling together for over a year now, and honestly, I can't imagine life without him now! He's never hurt anyone or broken any laws, other than the initial 'demons aren't allowed on Earth' thing... and I trust him with my life."
"Hasn't hurt anyone? How does he feed?!" Mikado demanded to know. Ahmose sighed and put down his bread and he looked at Mikado.
"He feeds off of me."
"What?!"
"And I allow it."
"WHAT?!"
Yami grinned at that, giving Mikado a Cheshire cat grin behind the apple. "Allow it? Hell last time he initiated it." he snickered.
Ahmose choked at that. "Yami! They don't need to hear all of the details!" Mikado was staring at Ahmose in horror.
"... WHY!?" He finally cried.
Ahmose looked at him. "Because I love him." Marik raised his eyebrows and looked at Ryou.
Ryou blinked chewing his oatmeal. He shrugged softly making the 'I dunno' sound.
Ahmose chuckled at the beffudled look on Mikado's face. "I'm sure the Vatican never tells you that not ALL demons are evil." He said. Mikado looked down again.
"... No. They don't." He said, not looking at Yami.
Yami rolled his eyes. "And for the record, I'm not from hell." he said, taking another bite of his apple.
Mikado blinked. "You're not? Where ARE you from, then?"
"Just a different realm. Just because I look demonic doesn't mean I'm satan's right hand man. I'd rather use my own right hand thank you."
Ahmose rolled his eyes at that comment, knowing what Yami was insinuating.
Mikado blinked and cocked his head. "But... I thought that it was just Earth, Heaven and Hell...?"
Yami chuckled flicking his tail. "I'd forgotten how uneducated and naive humans are...." he said taking another bite of his apple. "There's far more to this great world than you could ever imagine...For instance...if there were just earth, heaven and hell, then how do you explain the sun, the very thing that lights your days every day? That is not earth, nor heaven nor hell."
Mikado blinked, then scowled. Ahmose chuckled. "I think you got him there, Yami."
Yami flicked his tail. "This is just one of many many many 'world's. Your religion, one of many religions." Yami said leaning back. "Humans are just incapable of traveling between worlds, and realms."
Mikado frowned and looked down. "... I ... I guess..." He said, and snatched a peach, biting into it. Ahmose smiled, eating his bread.
Yami yawned slightly and put down his now applecore. "nnn...It's not like I stay here because I enjoy it. I got stuck here, and Ahmose wants me to stay...so I'm staying for him." he said flicking his tail slightly. "Your race is not as advanced as mine."
Mikado frowned. "What do you mean you're staying for him?!" He looked at Ahmose. "You asked him to stay?!"
"Yes." Ahmose said.
Yami smirked. "Is there a problem with that?"
Mikado frowned again. Ahmose smiled. "You're young. There is still much for you to learn." He said, placing a hand on Mikado's shoulder. "The Vatican can't teach you everything. You may find that Yami has much to teach you."
Yami snickered. "Only sex ed. I'm afraid I'm not supposed to teach you about advanced technologies."
Ahmose glared at Yami. "That's not what I meant and you know it."
Yami gave Ahmose a look. "Hey you promised me a feast...Orgies are feasts."
Ahmose's eyes widened and he turned red. Mikado and Marik stared.
Yami's tail waved calmly from side to side. "And a promise is a promise. You've never tried group sex either...I bet you'd love it...it's something new to consider."
Ahmose scowled and turned, looking at Yami and sticking his finger in his face. "No. Now behave yourself. We ARE in the presence of CHILDREN, one of which is a priest, and another who happens to be my BROTHER."
Yami grinned. "They look legal." he said grinning wickedly. "And I may not be an evil demon, but I DO have a job I'm supposed to do, which is corrupt people with lust."
Ahmose smacked Yami upside the head. "NOT A PRIEST AND NOT MY BROTHER!!! The werewolf, fine."
"HEY!!!" Marik howled, laying his ears back.
"I'm not really into beastiality." Yami snubbed.
Marik snorted. "Good." He pounced on the plate of bacon as soon as it was set down.
"HEY!" Mikado pounced as well, smacking Marik's paws and snatching some bacon for himself.
Ryou gently took Marik's hand. "You should eat something good for your body." he said smiling. "You cannot just entertain the wolf in you, you are a human as well...and need to eat foods to sustain a human. Such as fruit or vegetables."
Marik scowled. "I like bacon." He said, confiscating the plate and pulling it over to him, growling a warning at the others. But he smiled and offered Ryou a peice. When Marik wasn't looking, Ahmose narrowed his eyes and several peices flew across the table to him and Yami.
Yami chuckled softly and gave his pieces to Ahmose. "You need food, I just eat it for vanity." he cooed coiling his tail around Ahmose's waist.
Ryou took Marik's offering and blushed, nibbling it quietly.
Yami raised an eyebrow. "You...do realize that homosexuality is strictly forbidden in your religion don’t you?" he blurted before blinking. "Oh damn...I said that out loud didn't I?"
Marik, Mikado and Ryou all froze, eyes wide. Ahmose slowly turned and glared at Yami, then smacked him upside the head before shoving a plum into his mouth, completely. "You have GOT to learn to THINK before you open your mouth!!!" The sorcerer hissed.
Yami whined loudly chewing and giving Ahmose an apologetic look.
Ryou sighed and lowered his eyes. "I...should go. I have morning meditation...since we're not leaving." he said softly, excusing himself and hurrying away.
Marik laid his ears back and whimpered, but then turned and growled at Yami, bristeling. Mikado raised an eyebrow, but then turned and looked at Yami.
"Don't mention things like that. It really upsets him." He said.
Yami finally swallowed. "I didn't mean to!" he said pouting, setting the plum pit down on the table. "My mouth sometimes gets away with me." he said wrinkling his nose before smirking. "Ask Ahmose...I'm sure he could vouche for the occurances..."
"It happens WAY too often." Ahmose snorted, eating bacon, which Marik was now blinking at, baffled as to how Ahmose got it.
Yami yawned. "If I were you wolf-thing, I'd consider the options. You're gonna have to convert him, if you want him." he said as if it were absolutely common to convert a priest away from his signature religion. "Because otherwise you stand about as much chance as a cold day in hell. He's what? Sixteen, maybe seventeen? He's got a whole life of chastity and misery ahead of him because of what he is. I bet he didn't even choose to be a priest. Most humans in this realm, from my expierences take up occupations merely because someone in the family did it before them. And gauging from his aura, he's no different. Heck, he's from an arranged coupling. You can tell because...." Yami paused and snickered. "Oh nevermind."
Marik blinked and cocked an ear. "... what?"
Yami chuckled and shook his head. "Nothing."
Marik scowled, laying his ears back. "No! I wanna know!!!" Mikado smiled in amusement at Marik.
"Why don’t you ask him yourself?" Yami said flicking his tail. "I'm not playing love doctor for a dog. If you love him, then court him your own damn self."
Marik glared at Yami. "Ass." He snapped, and Mikado giggled. Ahmose rolled his eyes.
"Werewolves..."
"Bite me, pretty boy." Marik snapped, and Mikado rolled his eyes and poked a peice of bacon into his mouth.
Yami snickered. "If you want advice. Here's advice. don’t let him go just because of circumstance. If you want him. Take him. Humans love nothing more than good old fashioned domination."
Ahmose choked on his peice of fruit at that, turning red and then purple as he tried to dislodge the peice of food. Mikado and Marik just sat there and stared at him, eyes wide and mouths agape, slightly stunned from what Yami had just said.
Yami patted Ahmose's back harshly, until the sorcerer stopped choking. "Well what are you waiting for wolf? There's a pubescent priest up there, suffering from hormones and heartache. go FUCK him!"
Marik glared. "I am NOT an Incubus, I'm not gonna just POUNCE him!!!"
Yami chuckled. "What if I purposely put you in heat?" Yami said with a wicked grin.
All eyes widened, and Marik's jaw dropped. Mikado turned and stared at Yami with wide eyes.
"... You can do that?!"
"Uh, hello? Incubus. Deviant of all things sexual. Incarnation of one of the seven deadly sins. Lust anyone?" Yami smirked and waved a hand. "I have power over EVERY living thing's most carnal desires..." he gave Marik a smirk. "And I know for a fact that you crave him. You've entertained the thought...more than once."
Marik blushed. "Well... yeah! But that doesn't mean I should ACT on it!!!"
Yami slipped the tip of his tail (which was still coiled around Ahmose's waist) slyly into his pants. "Humans like a little surprise...a little domination..." he said coiling it just barely...
"You could act on it, and I can personally assure you, whether you go through with it or not, that little priest would be happy either way."
Ahmose's eyes widened and he flushed and let out a choked squeak, then slapped Yami's tail. "STOP THAT!!!"
Yami smirked at Ahmose. "You promised a feast...and I intend to make well of your promise. Now either book a room, or I'll throw you down on this table and ravage you until even riding your horse will remind you of how hot it was." he hissed wickedly.
Ahmose looked humiliated, Mikado mortified, and Marik shocked beyond beleif. But Ahmose turned and glared at Yami. "I'll book a room! But you'll have to wait until later! I may have promised you a feast but I didn't say WHEN!!!" He took a deep breath, then realeased it slowly. "I would like to spend time with my brother." He turned and smiled at Mikado. "We have over a decade to catch up on." Mikado perked up and absolutely beamed, delighted. Marik snickered and ruffled Mikado's hair.
"Awwwww... how cute..." He chuckled, and Mikado glared, smacking his paw.
"Knock it off, Fluffy."
Yami flicked his tail. "Fine...but the longer I wait, the harder it's going to be for you to leave that room when we're finished." Yami said smugly. "And I will be going home to get my wing tended to while I wait."
Ahmose blinked. "Or you could let ME take care of it." He said. Mikado blinked.
"I know a LITTLE healing magic... but not much... but I could... START the healing process..." The Agent said.
"I can seal the wound. I'm just worried that there could be permanent damage." Ahmose replied. Mikado looked down, guiltily.
"Ahh it's fine, I'll go home, by the time I get back it should be good as new. Why heal the old fashioned way what I can have healed in no time flat at home? Believe it or not people've been attacking us for ages...we kinda learn how to take care of business." He chuckled waving a hand, a scroll appearing from a burst of flame. "Hmm...Ew god. Nothing's worse than..." he mumbled more as he read. "Well I'll just be going then." And with another wave of his hand, the scroll disappeared in the same manner it'd appeared. "I'll be back, by nightfall." he said calmly.
Ahmose blinked. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"Oh, I was checking my map." Yami laughed standing. "Leaving from here puts me on the other side of the world. It's summer where I'm from. the 'ew god' was because I don’t particularly care for where I end up."
Ahmose blinked again. "Um... okayyyy..." He said, but smiled and nodded. "You promise you'll be back?" He asked, looking slightly worried.
"Demons don’t make promises." he said smirking and trotting off. "Have fun with Mikado."
Ahmose's eyes widened and he stared after Yami with an upset look. But he sat back in a huff, stuffing bacon into his mouth.
"God... I love him but he drives me mad..." He grumbled. Mikado smiled and Marik stood.
"Well... I'll leave you two to get re-acquainted." The werewolf said, gathering some food and walking outside. He headed for the stable to check on Malik again. He walked over to his friend and knelt with some fruit, bread and bacon. "Hey... you hungry?"
Malik snarled and lunged for Marik, stabbing his arm harshly with a sharpened piece of wood he'd pulled from the stall's wall. "GIVE ME BACK MY BOOK!"
"OW!!" Marik yelped, leaping back and snarling, baring his teeth. "I can't! The book is GONE!!!" He shouted. "You'll never see it again, it's EVIL!!! Give it up!!!"
"I'll kill you you bastard.." Malik hissed. "And then I'll kill that priest...I'll torture him until he can’t cry anymore...then I'll whore him out....and when he's made all the money he can make in a week...I'll kill him." he snarled.
Marik rolled his eyes. "Yes dear. Here... you haven't eaten in two days..." He snatched the sharp peice of wood from Malik's hand and replaced it with a hunk of bread. "I'll check on you again later."
Malik shrieked in fury. "Just wait Marik! That priest is going to die by MY hands!" he howled after Marik.
Marik just sighed and left the stable, clutching his bleeding arm. He looked up when the boy who worked in the stable appeard from the woods, leading Nakhti and Mikado's mare. He snickered; the little brother's horse had just been fucked by the big brother's horse. He found that amusing.
The stable boy smiled slightly. "I got the horses." he said as he walked past Marik. "Please tell the priest and his friend they'll be ready whenever they are ready to leave." he said bowing, and taking them into the stable.
Marik sighed and called after the boy. "I don't think they're gonna be leaving any time soon... go ahead and put them up!"
"Alright!" the boy called back. Leaving Marik with a bloody arm, and nothing to do...
He sighed and looked around, then began to sniff out Ryou.
He found the priest sitting under the shade of a tree, eyes closed in meditation.
Marik smiled and sat down a short distance away, leaning against another tree and closing his eyes, deciding not to bother the boy for now.
Moments later soft giggles were heard. "I can hear you breathing Marik..." Ryou cooed, peeking open an eye. "Why the visit?"
Marik smiled at Ryou. "Oh, nuthin... Yami has gone of to his world to get healed, Mikado is catching up with his brother... so that left you, Malik and Bakura. Bakura is sleeping and Malik... well... kind of stabbed me and threatened to kill you, so... I thought you were the better choice of company." He said, wagging his tail and giving Ryou a goofy grin, trying to coax a smile out of the little priest.
Ryou did indeed smile, and blushed before looking away. "You're so...."he paused, trying to think of a good word.
Marik cocked his head and smirked, determined to make Ryou laugh now. "What... smelly? I'm sorry... I haven't bathed since me and others went for a run... I'm sure I smell like a wet dog..."
Ryou shook his head grinning. "I wasn't thinking you smelled...You're...charming."
Marik blinked, and blushed, looking down. “… Oh.” He said in a small voice, then looked up and smiled, tail wagging slightly. “Um… Thank you.”
Ryou closed his eyes once more. "You're...welcome."
Marik smiled. "Um... soooo..." He said, looking around awkwardly.
Ryou peeked open an eye and smiled. "Sooo...?"
Marik cocked an ear at a funny angle. "Um... so... You were... gonna leave..." He said. "Without saying goodbye..." He looked sad and hurt.
Ryou frowned and closed the eye once more. "I...didn't want to." Ryou said softly. "But...Mikado said it was for the best..."
Marik frowned, laying his ears back. “You hardly KNOW that kid, why listen to HIM?! He DID just try to kill his brother an hour ago!”
"His...job is to protect me." Ryou replied softly, looking down.
Marik snorted. "He's STILL just a kid who doesn't know what he's doing..." Marik grumbled, glaring at the ground. He looked back at Ryou. "You said I could come with you."
Ryou nodded. "I...want you to."
Marik smiled, tail thumping the dirt, softly. "Really?"
Ryou nodded. "I...wouldn't have invited you if I didn't want you to come."
Marik smiled. "But... Mikado... and Bakura... he said that if I went to the Vatican, they'd kill me..."
Ryou frowned and sighed. "I'm...sure that's why Mikado...thought it would be best..."
Marik frowned and whined slightly.
Ryou gave Marik a worried look. "I'm so sorry..."
Marik looked at Ryou. "Please don't leave without me..."
Ryou sighed softly and nodded. "Alright..."
Marik smiled a bit. "Promise?"
"Of course." Ryou cooed softly.
Marik grinned, tail wagging harder. "Great!!!" He exclaimed.
Ryou smiled and shook his head. "You're a good werewolf..."
The day passed quietly. Mikado and Ahmose spent it talking, catching up with each other. Ryou and Marik also spent it talking, Ryou often reading to Marik from the Bible that he had given the boy. Malik spent it cursing at anyone who came near him and Bakura slept the day away. As the sun began to go down, Yami returned.
He was wearing entirely different clothes, though still leather and buckles. He stretched, his wing healed so well that it was hardly believable that he'd been injured at all. He yawned and flicked his tail, he was carrying a small bag.
Marik and Ryou were sitting under a tree at the edge of the square. Marik looked up. "Your friend is in the tavern with his brother." He called.
Yami nodded and trotted towards the tavern, yawning.
When he went in, the barmaid smiled. "They're upstairs in your room, sir." She said. "Room Six."
Yami smiled and nodded once more, hurrying to the stairs. He went up to the room and opened the door, looking grouchy.
Ahmose and Mikado were on the bed, cloaks and jackets draped over a chair, boots on the floor, and belts and weapons on the dresser. Mikado's head was on his brother's shoulder, and he was sleeping. Ahmose looked at Yami and smiled, lifting a finger to his lips.
"Shhhhh..."
Yami snorted softly and rolled his eyes. "I'll come back." he grumbled.
Ahmose frowned slightly. "Yami..." He said softly, and held out his hand to the incubus.
Yami raised an eyebrow.
Ahmose gave Yami a hurt look. "Please?"
Yami sighed and grumbled. "You're busy."
"No I'm not. I'm just lying here." Ahmose said. "Yami... My brother tried to convince me that I should get rid of you... that you're evil..." He smiled. "But I think I was the one who convinced him." He winked. "Big brother's influence... he's willing to give you a chance and get to know you. Please... give him a chance?"
Yami grumbled. "I don’t like him."
Ahmose frowned. "And I didn't like you, once upon a time."
"I don’t like how he looks at me...." Yami said glaring at Mikado. "And I don’t like his aura..."
"And what is it about his aura that you don't like?" Ahmose asked, patting the bed in a request for Yami to sit down.
"It's too damn..." Yami made a disgusted face. "Ignorant."
"He is ignorant." Ahmose said. "But it's not his fault. He WAS raised in the Vatican. All he knows is what they taught him. Help me open his eyes. He's naive, Yami."
"Even the priest's aura isn't that ignorant." Yami huffed and sat on the bed, growling softly. "I don’t like it."
Ahmose rolled his eyes. "Give him a chance. He'll learn and lose his ignorance in time."
"Or get anally raped and loosen up that way." Yami snorted.
Ahmose's eyes widened and his jaw dropped in horror. "Yami!!!"
"What? I call em as I see em." Yami shrugged.
Ahmose sighed. "Please, Yami... I thought I had lost my brother forever... this is... please..."
Yami grumbled. "Why are you saying please to me?"
"Because this is very important to me and I'm begging you not to ruin this..." Ahmose said softly.
Yami growled again. "You're my human." he said firmly. "I don’t like sharing."
Ahmose frowned. "Yami..."
"I don’t like sharing." Yami grumbled again, bristling.
"I'm still your human..." Ahmose whispered. "But I'm his brother. You want to learn about love? How about this. When you love someone, you're willing to do anything and sacrifice everything for them. For their happiness... if you don't care that much about me, then you don't love me..."
Yami closed his eyes. "I told you, love is foreign to an incubus. I try to understand it...but until I do, I can’t say I love you."
Ahmose nodded. "I know..." He said softly. "I'm just telling you... when you feel everything I have described... when you are willing to give up everything for me... then you will know." He smiled. "And I'm willing to wait for however long it takes. But Yami... I'm not giving up my brother... I can't. No more than I could give you up..."
Yami sighed and shook his head. "If he tries to kill me again Ahmose, I don’t care who he is, I'll not let him live...I don’t share, I don’t like being attacked, and he hurt you."
"I forgive him. Why can't you?" Ahmose asked.
Yami glared. "Because he's a Vatican Agent. Devoted his life to killing things like me, regardless of whether or not we did something."
Ahmose frowned. "And the majority of your kind run around raping and terrorizing." He said.
"Not true...just the bad ones."
Ahmose nodded. "The point is, don't judge someone by what they are. You know how that feels..."
Yami flicked his tail and grumbled. "He stabbed me in the wing."
"For which he is truly sorry." Ahmose said. "Why are you being so stubborn?"
"Because I'm grouchy." Yami grumbled. "I had to visit..." he shuddered. "Mom."
Ahmose raised an eyebrow. "Mom? Judging from your tone, that's bad..." He chuckled. "Come on. Sit down and tell me all about."
Yami sighed, tail lashing. "I don’t care for her. she's obnoxious." he said calmly. "That's all there is to it."
Ahmose smiled and reached out, pulling Yami down onto the bed to lie beside him, and kissed him gently. "At least you have a mother..."
"Not by choice. Succubi create children to trot around as trophies." Yami explained.
Ahmose snorted. "Niiiice..." He said. "Well... she certainly created one hell of a trophy for me to trot around WITH, hmm?"
Yami groaned. “Don’t you start."
Ahmose blinked. "What? Am I making you hungry?" He asked, laughing.
Yami sighed. "No. You're making me sick."
Ahmose blinked at that. "Huh?"
"I hated my mother." Yami said calmly. "I'm not a trophy."
Ahmose smiled. "I love youuuuuu..."
Yami grumbled. "I...brought some things from my world." he said holding up the bag.
"Oh?" Ahmose asked, looking down and curling Yami's tail around his fingers, absently.
Yami flicked his tail and nodded. "I brought you something."
Ahmose blinked when Yami's tail flicked out of his fingers, and he looked up. "For me?"
Yami nodded slowly. "Yeah..." He reached into the bag. He pulled out a gold amulet with a glowing purple gem in the center. "here..."
Ahmose blinked and took it. "It's beautiful..." He breathed. "... What is it?" He asked, admiring the thing.
"Something I thought you'd like...it's a jewel that is made by crystalizing dragon blood and phoenix tears." Yami said softly. "It's good for people who practice magic."
Ahmose's eyes widened. "Incredible..." He gasped, running his fingers over the gem. "Where did you get this?"
Yami raised an eyebrow and held up the bag. "I just told you. My world."
Ahmose blinked. "Oh... right..." He said, still staring at the amulet with wide eyes. Finally, he smiled and looked at Yami. "Thank you..."
Yami nodded. "I bought it for you." he said calmly. "You like purple."
Ahmose chuckled and nodded. "That I do..." He said, and hung the pendant around his neck. "I've never seen anything like it. What... what does it do?"
"Amplifies your magic." Yami said grinning. "Good stuff. It's to magic what the philosopher's stone is to alchemists."
"Oh, wow... that's great!" Ahmose exclaimed, and threw his arms around Yami. "Thank you so much..." And he kissed him.
Yami wrapped his tail and wings around Ahmose. "You're MY human." Yami said once more. "I like to see you happy.." he purred nuzzling Ahmose. "I brought some other things too..." he pulled a scroll from the bag. "I'm not supposed to show this to other worlds, but you're my chosen, so it'll be alright."
Ahmose blinked. "Why? What is it?" He asked, looking at the scroll.
"Things not in this dimension, but will be soon, or the like. Improvements." Yami said shrugging. "Demons are a bit more advanced because we can travel between so many realms. We can see what humans create, and compare them...and improve on them."
Ahmose took the scroll and unrolled it.
The scroll was blank, before deep crimson words scrolled across it as though they were seared into the cloth of the scroll. It told of things Ahmose had never even considered before! Some of it was completly unbelieveable.
Ahmose eyes grew wider and wider as he looked at the ever changing surface of the scroll. "What... what IS all of this?" He looked at something that had plans for pipes to bring water into buildings through a tap. "God... you even have the lost technology of the Roman Empire!!!"
Yami smirked. "We've got it all...Indoor plumbing...you name it. We can even draw water hot or cold as we please."
"Really? Wow!!!" Ahmose gasped, looking at Yami in fascination. "That's incredible!"
Yami nodded. "Yup...it's really a comfort living there...for instance...during hot weather, we can stay warm easily indoors, and cool in the summer." Yami said flicking his tail. "I think you'd enjoy it a lot." he nuzzled Ahmose again.
Ahmose smiled and draped an arm around Yami, glancing at Mikado. The Vatican Agent slept on peacefully. "I would like to visit some time..." He said, kissing Yami. "I would."
"You can sleep in a real bed...after we have the most mindblowing sex imaginable..." Yami purred. "you'll be too tired to do more than lay in bed and cuddle me."
Ahmose chuckled. "You horrible sinister creature of lust... preying on a defenseless human..." He teased, poking Yami in a spot he knew to be ticklish.
Yami yelped and growled irritably. "Dooont!" he grumbled. "And you're far from helpless. If that were the case I'd be fat."
Ahmose laughed. "Perhaps so..." He said, stroking Yami's hair and kissing his cheek. "I love you..." He whispered.
Yami sighed and nuzzled Ahmose. "When we drop you brother back at the Vatican... would you be interested in a week in my world? I'll even bring that horse of yours if it would make you happy." Yami said softly. "My home isn't HUGE...but it is roomy, comfortable and full of things useful during wild sex."
Ahmose sighed. "I dunno... we'll see, okay?" He said with a smile.
Yami grumbled. "I brought something for that wolf too." Yami said chuckling and pulling a book from his bag, and a small vile of what appeared to be an azure colored fluid.
"What are they?" Ahmose asked.
"A book on a very popular religion among elves in a different world...it's called...um..." he looked at the title. "ah yes. Wicca."
"And... why would this interest Marik?" Ahmose asked, cocking his head. "According to Mikado, he was baptized yesterday."
"Because that boy he's lusting for isn't going to allow it in that religion." Yami said calmly. "And he's half elf."
Ahmose blinked. "Are you trying to convert Marik and Ryou to Wicca?"
Yami shrugged. "I won’t try anything. It's up to Marik what he does." he said calmly. "but as things stand, that priest will never allow him in his life. It's forbidden in that religion." he said rolling his eyes. "Or, he can go with door number two." Yami said holding up the vial. "Love potion. Bought it from something that DOES understand love." Yami said smirking. "Sirens."
Ahmose blinked, then scowled. "Yami! That's low! And besides... Mikado says that Ryou likes Marik already. Give it time. Let's just see what happens, hmm?" He kissed Yami's cheek again. "But it's sweet of you to care."
Yami snorted. "Oh I'm gonna do it anyway." Yami said shrugging. "I wanna see what happens."
"Slip a priest a love potion?!" Ahmose cried, horrified. "YAMI!!!"
"Incubus!" Yami cried. "And besides...I'm curious." he snickered.
Ahmose glared. "BAD Incubus." He scolded, shaking a finger at Yami. "BAD."
"Let me do it and I'll give your brother a chaaaance." Yami sang.
Ahmose narrowed his eyes. "VERY bad Incubus."
Yami shrugged. "I'm doing it wether you get anything out of it or not." he said snickering.
Ahmose snorted, and stuck his finger under Yami's nose. "I had better not find out about it." He warned.
"I just told you about it." Yami laughed. "You ALREADY know!"
"You know what I mean." Ahmose said, laying back and closing his eyes with a yawn.
"C'mon Ahmose, don’t you EVER stirr up mischief? How can you be in a world so full of predictable action?" Yami said standing.
Ahmose grunted. "The world is not that predictable. And this mischeif is blasphemous."
Yami flicked his tail. "Ah well..I'm going to make priesty some tea."
Ahmose seized Yami's tail. "No. You stay here." He said, not opening his eyes.
Yami tugged his tail loose. "Ahmooooose" Yami whined. "I went to all the trouble to get it, I'm USING it!"
Ahmose's hand shot out, grabbing Yami's tail again and holding it firmly. "As long as I know about it, I can't let you."
Yami raised an eyebrow. “Don’t make me molest you."
Ahmose snorted and jerked on Yami's tail, making him plop back onto the bed. "Hush... it's time to sleep." He said, settling down but not releasing Yami's tail. "I'm tired. It's been a long day."
Yami snorted. "Then sleep!" He pulled his tail away. "and don’t yank my tail."
"Don't you dare leave the room." Ahmose said, warningly. "And besides. I'm sure the priest is already in bed."
Yami snorted. "Bye!" he chirped, darting out before Ahmose could stop him. He wanted his mischief!
Ahmose snorted and rolled his eyes, turning onto his side and going to sleep.
