Mokuba blinked and rubbed his eyes. He’d been staring at the research on the computer for nearly forty five minutes and it was starting to make him see double. He yawned and pushed it away from him.
“What are you doing Noa?”
The boy was drawing on the poster boards and looked up crossly when addressed. “Waiting for you to get done you Slowpoke. God, can’t you read any faster? We’ve already been here for an hour –”
“Just shut up! What have you been doing anyway! You’re the one who doesn’t know how to summarize information! Where did you get most of this stuff anyway? The net? It’s so full of crap!”
“Takes one to know one –”
“Shut up you stupid brat!” Mokuba got up and rubbed his eyes again. “And why’d you wait to do all this today! I can’t even enjoy my weekend I have to be here with you!”
“It’s not my fault you don’t know how to use a phone! We could have been working on this all week but you had to be an ass –”
Mokuba kicked over the table, Noa’s laptop hitting the floor and sliding. “You’re the ass! Always making snarky comments and making fun of me and my friends! You wonder why you have no friends?! It’s because no one likes you!”
The room suddenly got very quiet and Noa put the marker down. He got his laptop and slid it back into his messenger bag.
“…I’ll just work on it on my own –”
“Noa –”
“Shut up…leave me alone.” He got up and left the room.
The raven haired boy watched him leave, kicking at the floor.
Not my fault the truth hurts…

Yugi and Ryou walked up to Yugi’s room laughing when they saw Sugoroku. The man gave the spike hiared teen a withering look and Yugi back up.
“Hi…Grandpa?”
“I said you wer grounded!” he yelled, startling the boy.
“I…Ryou came over and –”
“Where have you been all day! Ryou didn’t just get here! Damn it Yugi I told you you were grounded!”
The teen stood there. “I’m sorry Grandpa.”
“Get out of my sight…” the old man walked past them and they went into Yugi’s room. Ryou rubbed his friend’s back.
“Are you okay?”
“Something is wrong with Grandpa…”

Seto closed the file folder and sighed. Marik…he could have had a wonderful life it it weren’t for all the tradgedy –
His thoughts were interrupted by large grey eyes and drumming fingers.
“Mokuba.”
“He left.”
“Well, are you two done?”
The boy shook his head and Seto realized Mokuba was laying across the desk.
“Isn’t the stapler digging into you?”
The boy laughed and sat up. “It is…but he left.”
Seto sighed and leaned back in his chair. “Did you two get done?”
Mokuba gave a grin and the brunette shook his head. “God Mokuba, what happened?”
“I sorta…told him…that nobody liked him and he was an ass and that’s why he had no friends…”
The young CEO blinked. He’d heard that before, but he did have friends. He had Yugi. And that had to count for at least a pet.
“Mokuba…where does this boy live?”
The black haired boy shrugged and sat cross legged on the older boy’s desk, fiddling with various office supplies. “I dunno…”
“Mokuba…” he warned.
“Well he’s rich so technically…he lives down the street which is really about like…five miles since everyones house is so huge…and you have to have an indoor and outdoor swimming –”
“Shut up.” Seto started typing and shooed the boy off. “You’re going to get him back and you’re going to finish your project!”
“Noooo!” the boy howled, falling off the desk. “You can’t make me! I’ll sue you!”
Seto started to chuckle and Mokuba joined him, standing back up.
“Come on Big Brother? Please?”
“Four grades Mokuba. We never fail.”
The boy’s shoulder’s slumped and he leaned across the desk. “You want to see me suffer…”
Kaiba found what he was looking for and got up. “Go get your books and things. I’ll make sure you’re picked up.”
Mokuba followed him, latching onto his waist. “What have I done to deserve this! Auuugh!”
“Stop being a drama queen…” He pulled the boy along and made him gather his things. “You’re also going to apologize.”
“Arg.”
“You should really stop, you two like each other so much it’s sick!”
Mokuba got up fast. “EW! I don’t like him! HE’s like the dirt under my fingernails!”
“You’re going.”
“No! Seto pleeeease?!”
Mokuba kicked the limo seat as Seto waved goodbye to him, causing the elder Kaiba to smile.
You’ll need to learn to get along anyway…
He watched it pull out of the gates and sighed. He really should be doing his own homeowork now. His phone rang and he picked it up.
“Kaiba.”
“Sir…there’s an intruder who claims to know you. We have him here at the south gate.”
“…I’ll be right there…”
He shut the cover and went back in the house. Whoever it was could stew for a while before he got there. He took the long way, meandering through his estate and admiring his possessions, the art and sculture especially and finally came out near the southern gate, shielding his eyes from the sun light.
“What is it…You.”
Marik sat on top of three guards, eating an apple. “You know Richie Rich…your security ain’t no good! Now how about we have a talk?”
Rage just built in Seto’s face and before Marik knew what was happening he was dodging well aimed kicks.
“You ass! How dare you come on my property and –take out my guards! They’re fired! And you’re –Dead!”
Marik ducked and dodged, wincing as a kick caught him in the side. “You asshole!”
Marik tackled him to the ground and threw the apple core at Seto’s head, the brunette growling when it bounced off.
Bronze hands went for his throat and more guards showed up with guns.
“Stay still Mister Kaiba, we’ll take care of him.”
Marik growled and Kaiba smirked.
“Stupid street trash! How can you do this after you were taken in my Ms Morisuna?”
The youth froze and Kaiba kicked him off. “That’s right…I know everything.” He motioned for his guards to back off. “Come with me.”
Marik growled as he saw someone approach his motorcycle and Kaiba spoke. “Put it in the garage.”
The Egyptian teen followed the man through his massive home and finally to his office. “What do you want Kaiba?!”
Seto sat behind his desk and threw the file at Marik, takng the shirtless file photo into his hands, cupping it and shielding it from view.
“What do you want?” he countered.
Marik looked through the file, some what amused as he looked over his past transgressions. He read about his parents accident however and stopped smiling, leafing through the report and finally tearing out the ones about his sister’s shootng.
“I want you and everyone else who gets in my way dead.” Flat lavender eyes settled on the young CEO, giving him a slight chill. “I want you to realize that you can’t treat people like crap, that you can’t step on us.”
“You who? The rich and powerful? You live with one of the wealthiest women in town. Doesn’t she give you everything you need? Doesn’t she feed and cloth you? Do you want her to die as well?”
“She knows what it was like to be like we were. You don’t –”
Seto put the picture down and laced his fingers together. “You don’t think I don’t know what the walls of an orphanage look like? What it feels like to have to lie to your three year old brother every time he asks where mommy and dadddy are? Have to fight off older kids just to protect yourself and the only family you have left?”
He waxed serious. “I was taken in by someone rich too…” He gestured around. “But he was a tyrant who dared to try and rape a young boy. I shoved him out of a window and now I run this company. I know more than you think. You even have family living in the city. Why do you deny their existance.”
The golden haired boy narrowed his eyes. “I’m not lke them. Besides, it’s none of your business.”
They stared at each other and finally Seto looked away, grabbing the photo and turning his chair around. “So why are you here this time?”
“I came to crash your estate, sleep in a nice bed while I’m grounded!”
The brunette chuckled. “You get kicked out when you’re grounded?”
“So what?!” he spat, gripping the folder. “My Mo –Fujiko can do what she wants!”
Seto glanced at the photo, smiling as he ran his finger over the surface. He almost said “Mom”
“So, you intended to trespass and do a little breaking and entering. Were you also going to rob me and rape my maids?”
Marik tapped his chin. “Maybe. Hell, sounds like a plan!”
The brunette shook his head and turned back around. He tossed Marik the picture and pointed to the door. “Talk to Mariko. She’s head maid. She’s outside the door.” He turned back towards the window and smirked. “Bye.”
The teen got up and shook his head. “You perverted bastard! Have you been jacking off to me all day! Gross! Wait till this gets around!”
Seto barked a laugh and swung back around. “Oh yeah, and I have copies because I just love you so much! Get over yourself!”
Marik waved the photo. “I don’t need this, I know I’m fine!” He tossed the photo back. “Get a life.”
“You get a life.”
“I will!”
“Then go!”
“…you’re gonna stare at my ass!” he said, pointing accusingly, a blush comin gover his cheeks. He wasn’t about to admit it, but it was pretty hot to think that Seto did have his picture all day, dirty thoughts or not.
“Get over yourself. If I want to see a hot ass, I’ll look in a mirror.” The brunette couldn’t help but smirk. He pulled himself closer to his desk and would have leaned over it seductively, but he thought it’d probably look more creepy than anything.
They stared at each other, Marik finally cursing and storming out of the room, his face red beneath his caramel skin.
Stupid Kaiba…
The CEO let out a relieved sigh when Marik was gone and put his head down. What was he doing letting the boy stay? He looked at the photo again and let his eyes slid shut.
He knew why.
And he didn’t care at all.

Mokuba talked to the head butler asking him about Noa.
“Is he alright?”
“Hm? The young master did seem upset about something. Would you like me to show you to where he is? I don’t believe he’s in his room…”

“Ah…I dare say one’s eldest brother is the best motivator of all. My own once threatened to relieve me of my manhood if I didn’t stop propositioning his girlfriend for dates.”
“Hm…” Mokuba followed the man, standing by idly as he rapted on a solid wood door.
“Master Noa? Company!”
There was no answer and the man beckoned Mokuba follow. “The library then…the Young Master loves going through his year books. He had quite a number of friends back in grade school…that was before the move of course.”
“Move?”
“Yes…though we’ve always maintained a residence here in Domino, Noa was raised on the outskirts of Tokyo. He had a number of friends that he would invite over everyday and he would go over there houses, great fun. Bu that all ended when me moved here two years ago…He’s got a peculiar personality that many don’t take to right away…he’s been so lonely…especially with his father away.”
Mokuba could feel the guilt crawling at him already. He’d said the worst thing imaginable.
“Oh…”
They went to the library and Mokuba spotted Noa immediately, sitting in a huge chair with enough pillows to kill a person. The butler left him then and Mokuba walked over on his own, dreading the conversation that would follow.
“…hey…Noa…”
“Your brother send you over here to call me more names? I’m not interested.”
“No…he sent me to finish the project. Look, I’m so –”
The boy dug into the chair further. “I’ll finish my part on my own. Just go away.”
“I want to apologize. I’m sorry alright! We need to learn to get along, so we can get this done!”
Noa slammed his book shut, a paper falling out. Mokuba followed it with his eyes, a bit shocked to see it was a picture of him. Noa grabbed it and slammed the book down on a nearby table.
“Just get out!”
“Noa! Come on!”
The boy shoved him and Mokuba frowned. “Don’t. Push. Me.”
“Get out!”
“Not until you accept my apology –WHOA!”
He fell down, pulling Noa with him and hit his head on the carpet. He leaned up a little and rubbed the back of his head. “Ow…fuck…”
Noa’s breath caught and his blue eyes widened as he realized how close he was to Mokuba’s face. They both blushed and Noa closed his eyes and leaned forward.
“I…Noa… -Mmm?”
The boy kissed him on the lips and Mokuba tensed up, not knowing what to do. Noa drew back and turned away.
“Okay, whatever, sorry. Just go away.”
The redness wouldn’t leave Mokuba’s face and he just sat there confused, his heart thumping.
“Damn it Mokuba!” Noa turned back around, stunned that the boy was still there. “Oh…”
They stared at each other, getting up and avoiding each other’s gazes. The aqua haired boy shoved his hands in his pockets and pushed Mokuba back.
“Get out of here…”
Mokuba came back to himelf and started to rub the back of his head, his finger coming down to twist a lock of hair. “O-okay I guess…but I need the information…”
“My laptop is in my room.”
The raven haired boy stared.
“We have to go to my room.”
Mokuba blinked.
“Damn it let’s go.”
The younger Kaiba followed Noa to his room, staring around dumbly. He saw a poster for his favorite game and lit up.
“You like Ocean Quest too?” he went up to it and examined it. “Holy crap it’s signed!”
Noa came over, arms crossed. “Yeah…my Dad knew that guy in highschool…no big deal.”
“That’s awesome! I met him at a game development convention. It was so great…”
They stood there in silence again until Noa cleared his throat. “Yeah, the info’s over here.”
Mokuba leaned over and gave Noa a kiss on the cheek, whispering. “I liked you too…sorry.”
The aqua haired boy scratched the back of his head and grinned. “Sorry…”
“No…it’s fine. I –it’s not fair to come here and everyone’s just mean because you moved here…your hair is…a nice color actually.”
“Hm.”
“I think…it’s…” Mokuba turned red and looked at the ground. “I have a picture of you too. I didn’t tell my brother. I have like a lot of them. Like a lot and stuff and I was so angry because I thought you were stuck up and stuff so yeah…”
“Yeah…”
The looked at each other and laughed.
“Let’s finish the project.”
Mokuba nodded. “Yeah…”

Dartz bowed to the older man, punching Ryou in the back of the head. “I’m sorry Moutou-san. I truly am. Ryou is grounded as well! He’ll be doing lots of chores from now on!”
Ryou whimpered and the old man didn’t even sympathize as Yugi was also stanidng by, rubbing the back of his own sore head.
“Yes, well, I have plenty of work for both boys to do. I like having Ryou over, even if they did both disobey. They’re good friends, that can’t be ignored.”
Dartz looked over to Yugi and shook his head. “They’ve both been brats forever. Thank you for feeding Ryou. He’s like a bottomless pit.”
The old man laughed. “I’ll say! Yugi is the same way! When do you expect your father back?”
“Oh…”
Ryou gave Yugi a look, and Yugi returned it as the boy leaned against the wall. They’d both be here for a while. Ryou ducked out of his brother’s grasp and went over to where Yugi was.
“So ridiculous…”
“Grandpa didn’t have to let Dartz smack me too. I wanna do that smackin’ not be the smackee!”
Ryou laughed. “Smackee! Wait till I tell Malik!”
Dartz and Sugoroku had stopped talking and were watching Yugi and Ryou play around in the hall. The old man sighed.
“I suppose Yugi can be grounded at Ryou’s as well…take care of them?”
“I will sir.” He waved to them. “Hey, retards! Let’s go! I still have to study! You’re both going to sleep as soon as we get in!”
“Shut up Dartz!” Ryou spat, kicking the boy in the shins and running off, Yugi a close second, laughing all the way.
Dartz growled and hobbled after them talking about how he should have killed Ryou at birth.
