Chapter 6: The Disappearance
It had been a little over three weeks since Mako and Angel's sexual encounter Mako understood the next morning the Angel was very sore and allowed the young man to rest for about a week before continuing his duties on the ship. Though he'd loved the feeling Mako had given him it had been very painful the next morning.
*Next Morning*
Mako woke, blinking at the sunlight that poured through the open curtains. He stared up at the ceiling for a long moment before remembering what had transpired the night before. Looking over he saw Angel sound asleep, his head resting on his broad chest as he slept peacefully, a smile on his face. Gently, Mako ran his fingers through his long hair, enjoying the silky texture the soft locks gave him.
"Mmmm..." Angel moaned softly as his eyes fluttered open. Tilting his head up he smiled up at Mako before hugging him close.
"How do you feel?" the seaman asked as he twirled a lock of sea-blue hair around his fingers.
Angel shifted a bit and groaned biting his lip. "Hurts..."
Mako frowned before giving him an apologetic kiss to the forehead. "I'm sorry I was rough," he whispered before slipping out of bed and tucking Angel in. "You get some rest. Take as long as it takes for you to get better," he whispered before kissing his cheek and walking out of their quarters to get cleaned up and start pulling in what catch had come in the night before.
*End of Next Morning*
Angel scampered up to Mako, helping him tie down the netted fish onto the cart Mako's camel was to pull. Mako walked off the boat a canteen slung over his shoulder as he walked around the cart to make sure it was secure. Placing his spear in the cart with the fish, he turned to Angel. "All right, Angel. Since we've had such a large catch it doesn't
make sense to wait another five weeks before taking the fish to the pharaoh. Now, I want you to watch over the boat and set a new net into the water before I return, understand?"
Angel smiled, nodding happily. "Yes, master. Everything will be ready when you return," he reassured.
Mako nodded as his eyes ran over Angel's scantily clad body, only wearing a very short lavender skirt and tan sandals. Bending over his kissed his little slave's lips. "Once we've set sail tonight I'll be sure to make my little slave scream," he whispered in his ear.
Angel flushed deeply but nodded obediently. "Y...yes, Master Mako..."
With a last tender kiss to his slave's lips, he climbed onto the back on his camel and clicked at the large animal. With a snort, the camel slowly rose and began its long trudge over the desert towards the pharaoh's palace Angel stayed in the same spot, watching his master disappear over the dunes before turning back to the boat to get everything ready for them to set sail when Mako returned. Unknown to him two pairs of eyes were watching the young boy scamper about the sea vessel. While the young man threw the net out for Mako, and tied the ropes to the boat to make sure that it wouldn't be pulled away by the fish it caught. A figure crept onto the boat.
"There," he sighed wiping the sweat off his forehead before turning and gasped as the person loomed over him. "Who are you? What do you want?" he asked, his voice trembling before he let out an ear piercing scream. He fled from the offender. Angel didn't know what was happening as he tried to hide, throwing things at his attacker before losing consciousness from a blow to the back of the head.
Upon reaching the palace a few hours later a group of slaves hurried out to aid in transporting the fish into the kitchen area. Mako was hoping to be gone before the pharaoh arrived since talking to the pharaoh would delay his return to Angel. However, Mako had no such luck.
"Mako, you've returned early. We weren't expecting you for nearly another month..." Yami said as he strode out of the palace. He looked around as if looking for something, or rather someone. "Where's Angel?"
Mako cursed mentally, he'd forgotten to bring the youth with him. Rubbing the back of his head, he chuckled. "Well, I was going to bring him with my next catch in a month...like I told you I would. However, this catch was so big I decided to bring it early. I guess bringing Angel with me slipped my mind."
Yami frowned a moment before nodding. "Well, it's not too late. I still want to see him, so why don't you return to the boat and bring him back. You both can stay the night if it gets too late."
Mako chuckled and nodded. "Ok, I'm sure Angel will be happy to see you," he said before remounting his camel and turning the animal around to head back to the boat.
Upon his return Mako felt something wasn't right. He frowned when Angel didn't appear, his happy nature making it difficult for the young man not to leap from the boat and come over to him, smiling brightly. Mako quickly dismounted and ran to the boat, gasping at the sight. On board his ship, it was an absolute wreck; barrels of water strewn about, ropes cut, nets torn to pieces, but one thing made Mako's heart stop. Where was Angel?
"Angel?" he called as he began to search the ship, pulling back piles of rope and broken barrels. "Angel!" he finally screamed becoming frantic as he ran down to the quarters, still no Angel. Running back up his eyes wild with fear. "Angel!!"
Pulling back the tattered net Angel had laid out into the water, he found a piece of crimson cloth. He snatched it up frowning. Angel didn't have any red clothing...neither did he. "Someone dare take my slave?" he growled. Running off the boat, he unhitched the camel from the cart, leaving it in the sand as he swung up onto the camels back and clicking loudly. "Come on!" he ordered. Instead of the large animals' slow gait from earlier the camel strode out at a fast long legged trot.
"Pharaoh! Pharaoh!!" Mako cried as he leapt off his exhausted camels back, running into the palace.
Yami emerged almost immediately as he pulled on his robes. "Mako, what's wrong?" he asked shocked at the wild look Mako had on his face.
The seaman nearly collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. "Angel...Angel's gone!" he cried, tears streaking down his face. Yami's eyes widened in horror. "What?"
Mako's sniffed loudly as he stood, Seto running up behind the pharaoh quickly taking in Mako's distraught behavior. "He's gone! I...I returned to the boat and it...it had been...been ransacked. Everything on board...was destroyed..." he gasped, trying not to break down in tears. "Angel's gone!" he finally wept clutching the cloth he had in his hand.
Yami's features had changed from horror to pure anger. Seto looked calm though he was thinking on who could have kidnapped the young slave from his master's home. Yami ran his fingers through his hair letting out an angered growl before noticing the cloth and snatched it from Mako's hand. Almost immediately, Yami let out a snort of hatred. "Only two people wear this color," he growled. "Myself...and..." He looked back at Seto who was frowning deeply before nodding. Yami turned back to Mako and grabbed him by his arm. "Come, we're going to find Angel. Now!"
