The Get-Together...Tonight
This chapter is when Haruka goes over to Seto's and he seems up to something. With his personality and all, Haruka suspected it from the beginning. But will she not fall for this? Or will will she play his game? Keep reading to find out!
Chapter 6: The Get-Together
The next day, Haruka wanted to go out and look for Seto, again. But just before she could walk out the door, the phone rang. She answered it. Immediately she recognized the raspy voice. It was Seto.
“Seto, how’d you get my number?”
“I looked it up. Haruka, I couldn’t ask because I couldn’t find you and—“
“It’s all right. I guess the ceo of KaibaCorp doesn’t need to explain,” she said as she intimidated something he would say.
He smirked.
“Haruka, how would you like to come over tonight?”
“Come over? I’d love to! Hey Seto, you really want me over at your place? Are you sure I wouldn’t be a bother to you?
“Haruka, I wouldn’t have invited you if you were going to be a bother…”
“Oh of course,” she giggled, “I’m just surprised and very excited about this, Seto!”
When they were done with the conversation, Haruka wanted to figure out what to wear, but decided not to worry about it because considering the way he always looked at her, she figured it didn’t matter.
Meanwhile, at KaibaCorp, Seto sat in his chair at his desk doing his work. He didn't show it by his face, but he was really excited about seeing Haruka tonight.
He turned and looked out the window. The sky was partly cloudy and the wind moved the clouds along swiftly. Since it was late in the afternoon, Seto was almost finished with his day’s work at KaibaCorp, so he decided to go home and finish it there.
At Haruka’s house, she was in her room, wondering how the evening with Seto would go and decided to go outside. She walked to downtown and sat on a bench near KaibaCorp.
‘I can’t wait till’ tonight…’
She blushed and looked up. ‘I wonder if…maybe he will…oh well, I’ll have to wait and see,’ she smirked to herself.
She looked at the town clock that read 6:00 and wondered if it was all right to go over to Seto’s. She of course knew where he lived, (who doesn’t know where the rich bastard lives-jokes hehe, now back to the story) and started to walk there.
It was a long distance but Haruka could take it. She looked at the sky and the weather didn’t look too promising. The cumulonimbus clouds were multiplying in the west and Haruka knew what that meant: a storm.
So she sped up her pace. She was used to running so knew it wouldn’t wear her out.
When she finally reached his estate, she was a bit winded and out of breath. From inside, Seto saw her out the window standing there, looking somewhat puzzled. He was now even more excited that she was finally here, so he went down and let her in.
“Well Haruka, it’s nice to see you came.”
He had a grin on his face that Haruka couldn’t resist.
“Wow Seto, can we go upstairs I… kind of need to rest after my walk here…”
“Come on, Haruka.”
