Chapter 6: A New Direction


Joey loved his motorcycle, it was his ticket to freedom. When he was on it he flt like he
was flying. His mind cleared, just him, the bike and the road. No father, no school, no
work, nothing else but that feeling. He was never able to explain it but he could ride for
hours without stopping and be ready to go agian when he stopped. Who cares that it was a
'I feel guilty' birthday present from his mother or that he kept the bike hidden from his
father by keeping it at Tristian's. One look at it and he knew his father would try to
sale it for partying money. He was almost disappointed when he reached the Kiba mansion gates.

JOey stopped at the gate and push the intercom button. A Deep male voice responded "This is the Kiba residence. How can help you?"

"This is Joey Wheeler Seto Kiba is expecting me."

Joey waited for less than a minute when the voice came back "Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Kiba said to drive around the back and but you bike in the open garage. Someone will be there to let you into the house."

"Thank you."

The gate opened and Joey drove in. The drive that went around the house was as long as a city block. Kiba mansion looked big from the front, it was even bigger when driving
around it. After Joey drove completly around and saw the garage he stopped and got off his bike and rolled it into the garage bay that was opened. It was the same one that held the three motorcycles the Kiba brothers owned. Just as Joey had his bike settled in and his helmate off he heard a voice behind him.

"You got here sooner that I thought you would." Kiba was leaning on the door frame of the
door that whnt into the side yard.

Joey smiled at the taller boy "It started slowing down after ten and I was on first so I
was given first choice off. For now."

"For now?" Kiba asked as he pushed the button to close the grage door and they walked
towards the back part house that held the kitchen, dinning room and the play room for when Mokabu had friends over.

"The manager wants to gaive me a promotion. Make me a head waiter on the evening shift. I would have to train for the position and I would lose tips."

Kiba motioned for Joey to sit at the kitchen table "That's good. You want something to eat or drink?"

"Juice or something like that might be good. I won't be hungry untill tommorrow."

Kiba place a glass with ice in it and a bottle of fruit juice. "Will you get a raise?"

"A small one but I'm not sure it will be enough to make up for the lost tips and apartments
are exspensive." answered as he poured his juice

Kiba sat down with his own glass and poured his own juice "Apartment? Are you finnaly going to move out of your dad's?"

"I'm meeting a lawyer tommorow to talk about imancipating me from my father. I can't live with the man any more. He when to far and I barly got away last time. I can't do that
anymore."

"You could use one of my lawyers, you know."

"I did" he said with a smirk "Tristian's mom gave me the name."

"Well she would know who the top famliy law lawyer is. But really Joey I'm glad your making this move. I've wanted you away from that man for years."

"Now you sound like Mia and Yugi."

"I do not sound like a two timing female or a overly happy elf."

"No, you sound like a friend." Joey said as he reached across the table and but his hand on Kiba's

"Fine." Kiba answered with a huff.

Joey smiled and chuckled

"What?"

"If I didn't know better I would think that you were jelious of her."

"Who?"

"Mia."

"I am not jelious of her!" Seto yelled as he jumped out of his chair, he walked over to
the sink and looked over the back lawn. "Why do you let her treat you like that."

"Like what?" Joey asked

"That you are not the most important person in her life. That you just the boy at home she can play games with."

"I don't let her.."

Kiba turned to Joey "I saw it with my own eyes tonight so did your sister!" he yelled and
turned back to look out of the window.

"Seto why are you mad?" Joey asked quietly as he moved to stand behind the other boy.

Kiba sighed "I'm not mad. I'm not jelious. I'm............."

It was dark outside and there were no ligths on in the back lawn, so Kiba could see Joey's
reflection in the window. It look as if they were standing side by side, instead of Joey's
being a good foot behind him. Seto looked at Joey's reflection as he spoke.

"Joey, how is it that I can't do anything without............."

"Without what Seto?" Joey stepped up behind him and hugged Seto from behind. "Seto it's ok. I know, you have to know I have feelings for you."

Seto turned around in Joey's arms so he could really face the blone boy. He raised his hand and cupped Joey's cheek. "I don't have feeling Joey. I love you. I can't be the other person in your life."

"Good. I wouldn't put you in that position but you have to understand that with what is going on in my life I can't put you first."

"Mia's first." he said in anger and tried to turn away. Joey tightened his grip to keep him
from turning.

"NO Seto. Mia is just a friend. No more, no less. Having a girlfriend help to keep a wall
my dad was concerened. she has her own life." When Seto quit trying to get away Joey
continued. "I have to put myself first Seto. My life is changing and I have to be able to
make decisions for me. Can you understand that."

Kiba but their forheads together, "I'll try."

"That's all I can ask." Joey said softly as he streatched up and kisssed Kiba. It was as we
all hope first kisses will be soft, warm, and so smoth that you lose youself in it.

When the kiss ended Seto smirked "So do I get sex out of this?"

Joey raised an brow "Well that was to the point. Yes but not tonight. In a few weeks."

"weeks!"

"Seto have you ever been with anyone." Seto shook his head. "I have so monday I go to the clinic and get tested. when the results come in then we'll talk."

"Now you become responsable."

"I've alwasy been responsable, I just know how to enjoy life. But I need to come to you
with you knowing I am clean and healthy."

Seto picked Joey andriedried him out of the kitchen and up the stairs. "There are things
we can do with out exchanging.."

"Seto don't be crude." Joey laughed

Seto enter his room walked across it and droped Joey on the bed. "Don't move." He walked back to the door and locked it. Before he could turn around Seto heard a big yawn and a soft 'sorry Set Seto walked to the dresser, got out two pair of silk pajama bottoms, dark blue and hunter green.

"Here put these on," he handed the hunter green ones to Joey.

When Joey stood up he looked around for a door leading to the bathroom. When he started towards one of the doorsSeto stopped him with a kiss. "Change here" he whispered as he began to kiss Joey's neck.

"Oh Seettooo." JOey moaned

Seto stopped on that spot and gave it special attention, getting another moan from the
blonde. Before Joey knew what happened his shirt was in the floor and Seto was placing
small kisses down Joey's chest and unzipping his pants. Seto rubbed aginst Joey's hardness. "OOHHHHHHHH Seto. PLease."

Joey pulled on the back of Seto's shirt trying to pull it off of him. Seto stood up and
helped him pull off his shirt. Joey stood back and looked at him "God Seto you are
bueatiful" he whispered as he pulled Seto into another kiss and yawned agian.

"Oh God Seto I'm so sorry. I didn't.." Seto stopped him with a quick kiss

"It's ok Joey lets change and go to bed."

As the two boys finished changing they continued to touch and kiss each other. When they
were finaly dressed for bed Seto led Joey to the king size bed and tucked him into it.
"I'm going to check on Mokabu and I'll be back in a minute" Seto kissed Joey agian and
left the room.

When Sero walked into Mokabu's room he say that the boy had fallen asleep on top of the
covers while reading a book. He took the book from the bay's hands and put in on the bed side table. He picked Mokabu up, pulled the covers back and tucked him in for the night. 'I'm not going to be able to do that for much longer' he thought as he turned off the light.

When Seto walked back into his bed room Joey was already asleep. He turned out the light, and crawled into bed next to the boy he loved. When he had settled he pulled Joey to him and kissed him om the forhead.

"Goodnight Love." he smiled and fell asleep.
