Darkened Myth of the Night

Warning: More Fluff!!! And Anzu bashing and as an added bonus, some Weevil bashing.


Chapter 6

The next morning, Yugi woke up curled next to Yami who was still in his demon form and he smiled before slipping out from under his wing quietly and left to go downstairs. He heard quiet sobbing from a door to his left and he noticed that it was Anzu crying but since Anzu doesn’t like him as much for a friend, he left the door alone, not wanting to go down there without the protection of Yami or Aqua by his side.

He went into the kitchen and saw a bag on the counter and it had a note attached to it. He walked over to the counter and picked up the bag and took the note connected to the bag and opened it. ‘Yugi, I sent over some more of my treats for Yami and Aqua. Hope to see you soon. Diamond.’ The note read and he smiled.

‘Wherever you are right now Diamond, thank you.’ Yugi thought before he took out two dishes and filled them with the treats Diamond sent over and walked back upstairs and back into the room. He placed one of the dishes next to Aqubed bed which was a stone like nest filled with leaves and hay covered with a soft blanket. He then walked over to Yami’s bed and sat on top of the soft bed and placed the dish next to him while he rubbed his hand along Yami’s snout, hearing him purr softly in his sleep.

In his sleep he leant into Yugi’s soft hand purring before he opened his eyes and smiled up at Yugi. “Good morning tenshi.” Yami said, sitting up and nuzzled Yugi’s cheek. Yugi giggled before patting Yami’s snout again. “Good morning Yami.” Yugi said, crawling onto Yami’s lap and lied his head against his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

“So, what would you like to do today tenshi?” Yami asked as Yugi went to pick up a treat from the dish. “I don’t know yet, maybe you and Aqua can choose something for us to do.” Yugi said, holding up the treat to Yami and he gladly ate it from Yugi’s hand. “How about we go for a nice morning walk through the park Yugi, maybe we could find one of your friends since we haven’t seen them for a while.” Yami proposed, taking another treat from Yugi’s hand.

“Yeah, I think that a great idea Yami, I haven’t seen my friends for a while and I really want to see if I can find Did sod so I can thank her for making these treats for you and Aqua.” Yugi said, giggling as Yami licked his fingers for another treat. “Yeah, I want to thank her too.” Yami said, taking the last treat from Yugi.

At that time Aqua woke up from his sleep and hearing the plans for today, smiled then ate the treats from the dish beside his bed that Yugi left there for him. Yami turned to look at Aqua then down to Yugi. “Well, once Aqua is done with his dish we can go ahead and leave.” Yami said and Yugi nodded, slipping off of Yami’s lap and went to the bathroom to wash up.

Just as Aqua was finishing off the last treat, Yugi came from the bathroom dressed and ready to go. “Let’s get going now.” Yugi said as he climbed upon Yami’s back and they headed out. “Before we go Yami should we bring your chew toy with us just to show off how she looks?” Yugi asked and Yami nodded, a smirghteghtening his features. “Sure, she would love the publicity.” Yami said darkly and nodded to Aqua who went over to the door and opened it.

Anzu, who was sleeping after trying to pick the lock to the best of her extent, woke up to the creaking of the hatches from the door and looked up to see Aqua and started to sink in her little dark corner. ‘What does he want with me now?’ Anzu thought as he started to get closer to her. “ Well, our little koibito thought its a good idea to let you come out from your home so come on I don’t want to lose any time to spend with Yugi.” Aqua hissed and picked up Anzu with his tail and left to go upstairs, purposely banging her head on the door frame as he left.

‘Outside, like this, Yugi's trying to ruin my reputation more than it already is isn’t he?’ Anzu thought and tried to get out of Aqua’s tail grip but it was useless since her arms were bound in his constricting grip and she glared at Yugi once they met up with Yami and Yugi at the front door. “Ok, ready to go?” Yugi asked and they both nodded before heading out, Anzu crying silently as she was dragged out into the public.

As the walked through the streets, some of the people back away, quite scared of the two demons walking out in the public, never knowing what they could do but was quite confused on why the demons didn’t attack the boy on the hybrid’s back but some of the teens from school that were on the streets started snickering when they saw Anzu’s bruised form and mutilated leg. She heard them whispering ‘Wait til the school hears that the most popular girl in school couldn’t even escape from two demons unlike Tira, at least she could become friends with one of them.’

This caused her to cry more but on the inside she was angry, more like pissed, at Tira for never coming to help her last night when she was caught in the alley. ‘And she was considered one of my friend and yet she didn’t help me get away from Yami and Aqua if she was at least friends with them.’ She thought angrily.

Yugi then spotted Ryou at the park with Bakura but noticed that Bakura was in a demon form like Yami and Aqua. ‘He must be a demon too, that might explain why Diamond made those demon treats and if Bakura’s a demon then that means Crimson is one too.’ Yugi thought then told Yami to go and head over to them, Aqua following behind with Anzu still struggling.

“Hey Ryou!” Yugi yelled, waving to him and they turned their head and he waved back as Yugi got off Yami’s back and ran over to him. “It has been a while since we seen each other.” Ryou said. “Yeah, so when did you find out the Bakura and Crimson were demons, I’m curious about that.” Yugi said as Yami went to rest in the shade and Aqua stood beside Yugi, wagging his tail just to stir up Anzu.

“Well, it all happened yesterday after school…” Ryou started.

~*Flashback*~

Ryou and Diamond walked back home, Bakura and Crimson walking beside them. “So what do you when at home Ryou?” Bakura asked, curious of what Ryou’s home life is like. “Well, me and Diamond don’t really do much, just cook, clean and do other stuff around the house since our dad isn’t home much.” Ryou said and Bakura frowned, wondering why his dad would leave them home alone.

“Why would your father leave you two home alone?” Bakura asked. “Well, he’s an archeologist so he goes out on digs and might not be home for weeks, even months at the most.” Diamond said as the reached the front porch of their home. “Well, if you like, we can stay with you while your father is away.” Crimson said, hoping they would say yes.

“Well, if you like, you two can stay with us. We wouldn't mind.” Diamond said and they smiled as they walked inside once Ryou opened the door. Bakura and Crimson explored around the house a bit before going back into the living room and sat down on the couch. “You have a nice place to live in Ryou.” Bakura said once Ryou and Diamond walked into the living quarters of the room.

“Yeah but it gets kinda boring to be in the house alone after a while.” Ryou said, sitting beside Bakura. “Well, we’re going to be here with you, so it wouldn’t be boring for you both.” Crimson said and they nodded. “Yeah, at least you two can keep us company.” Ryou said. ‘Yeah, keep you two company more than one way.’ Bakura thought.

“So, while we’re here, what would you like to do Bakura?” Ryou asked, turning to him. “ Well, I can think of one thing.” Bakura purred and leaned closer to Ryou, pressing their lips together in a small and gentle kiss. Ryou was shocked by the kiss but responded to him. He prolonged the kiss longer before he pulled away from Ryou and hugged him close.

“We had feelings for you both ever since we first saw you in class today and now that we’re alone, we have the chance to show you that we love you.” Bakura said and Crimson nodded. Ryou and Diamond blushed before Diamond answered. “Well, this is quite a shock but now that we think about it, we also love you both when we first saw you come into class but we thought we couldn’t have a chance with you two like Yugi has with Yami and Aqua.” Diamond said, her face still flushed after saying their feelings, the same with Ryou.

Crimson smiled and walked up to Diamond and nuzzled under her chin, purring and she purred back, closing her eyes. “Also there is one more thing we need to tell you Ryou and Diamond, please don’t be afraid after we tell you this.” Bakura said as Crimson pulled away from nuzzling Diamond and she looked up. Ryou nodded. “Don’t worry, we’re together now so nothing would scare us away from you or Crimson.” Ryou replied.

“Well, the thing is that, like Yami and Aqua, we’re demons too.” Bakura said and as the sun went down, they changed into their demon forms, large half wolf/half beast like forms with black, feathery wings. Bakura had a long black tail with retractable spikes that can be shot out like bullets with a flick of his tail and large claws.

Crimson had his own claws that elongated while he’s in his demon form and also the same spikes along his tail but they were his fur, turning into the sharp needle-like spikes when needed. Long, pearl white incisors protruded out of their mouths, more likely to scare their victims during their hunts.

Ryou gasped as he looked upon Bakura’s demon form and gently raised a hand to touched the soft fur on Bakura’s face. “ I think you look beautiful as your demon form Bakura.” Ryou said quietly and Bakura looked down to him. “You really think so Ryou?” Bakura asked in a low purr and Ryou nodded, Diamond saying the same to Crimson as she petted his neck softly.

Bakura picked up Ryou and hugged him close. “Thank you Ryou. I thought you and Diamond would’ve been scared of us as our demon forms and run away.” He whispered and Ryou smiled, placing a kiss on his snout before cuddling into Bakura’s warm chest, laying his head on the white ruff of fur on his chest.

“There’s no way how we could be afraid of you both, no matter what form you or Crimson takes, we will still love you.” Ryou whispered and Bakura just held him close, Diamond and Crimson cuddling from their spot on the rug.

~*End Flashback*~

“And after that night we became a couple, same with Diamond and Crimson.” Ryou finished and Yugi smiled. “I’m glad that you and Bakura became a couple, same goes for Diamond and Crimson.” Yugi said. “Thanks, I’m glad that you, Yami and Aqua became a couple also.” Ryou replied back.

“Thank you Ryou.” Yugi said then turned to Aqua who was asleep beside him, also hearing the story about how Ryou, Diamond, Bakura and Crimson got together but might had fallen asleep after it and Anzu was still caught in his grip but she didn’t bother to get away. ‘He mustn’t have gotten much sleep last night, I wonder why?’ Yugi thought “Oh yeah, that reminds me, Ryou do you know where Diamond is, I wanted to thank her for the treats she made for Yami and Aqua.” Yugi said, turning back to Ryou.

“Oh, she should be over by the lake with Crimson, she might be in the lake with him so try looking there.” Ryou said and Yugi thanked him again before going to wake Aqua up quietly. “Aqua, wake up please.” Yugi said softly and he opened his eyes to look up at Yugi. “Yes, what is it koi?” Aqua asked sitting up.

“Do you mind if you can give me a ride down to the lake so I can see Diamond?” Yugi asked and he nodded, dropping Anzu on the cool pavement since she couldn’t really move now and let Yugi climb onto his back. Anzu glared at Yugi and tried to sit up but the pain in her leg came back full force and she fell back down to the ground, hissing in pain.

‘When I’m able to get up I will come after you Yugi and when I do you will wish you never crossed me or my love for Yami and Aqua.’ Anzu thought, keeping this thought to herself so Yami wouldn’t hear it.

Aqua trotted over to the park’s center lake and smiled when he saw Diamond giving Crimson a bath and he seemed to be enjoying it seeing that he had his eyes closed in contentment. Yugi got off Aqua’s back and called for her and she turned around and waved to Yugi. “Hey Yugi.” Diamond said as she swam over to the shore and got out. Crimson following behind her.

Yugi came up to her and hugged her, not worrying about his clothes getting wet. “Hi Diamond, I just wanted to thank you for those treat you made for Yami and Aqua.” Yugi said and Diamond smiled, hugging him back. “I see Yami and Aqua likes them right?” Diamond asked and he nodded. Aqua walked up to her and pat her head, making her laugh. “Yeah, both me and Yami wanted to thank you also, other than the humans we get as a meal every night, your treats are the best thing we had.” Aqua said.

“Why, thank you for the compliments, I’m glad that you and Yami like my treats. It took me a while just to make them just right for any demon.” Diamond said, holding Yugi in her arms and tickled him for fun, making him laugh. “Since Crimson is done with his bath, how about we head back?” Diamond asked and they nodded.

She placed Yugi up on Aqua’s back and then went to climb on Crimson’s back and they left to go back where Yami, Ryou and Bakura were waiting, never seeing the boy hidden behind the tree or noticed him following behind them quietly so as to not catch their attention.

Ryou lifted his head when heard footsteps coming their way, still petting Bakura’s head, making him mewl like a newborn wolf pup, he turned his head and smiled when he saw Yugi and Diamond coming up with Crimson and Aqua. Yami also looked up and smiled when Yugi got off Aqua’s back and came over to him so he pushed Anzu off to the side who growled at Yugi even thought she was getting tortured she was enjoying the time with Yami. ‘Just you wait Yugi, tomorrow will be the day when you will be out of the picture.’ Anzu thought.

Diamond then spotted Anzu on the ground the looked over to Yami. “So what caused this to happen?” Diamond asked, Ryou also curious as to why Yami and Aqua brought her here.

“Well, last night, Yugi came to help us find a meal but Yami had left early and Yugi came with me. While we were on our way to him, Yami spotted Anzu and her friends teasing Yugi so he killed Kristen and scared Tira with a simple illusion spell but became friends with her anyway just to lower suspicion of him being a demon. Once she told where Anzu was, he went after her and so did I. Once we caught her after a good game of Cat and Mouse, we kept her for entertainment purposes and I say she is quite fun I may add.” Aqua explained, baring his teeth at Anzu when he turned his head to her and she flinched back.

“Hmm, that sounds like a good idea, maybe we should find a good chew toy to settle with.” Bakura said as he lifted his head from Ryou’s lap and Crimson nodded before his ears twitched and he looked behind him. “I hear something coming this way, come with me Bakura.” Crimson said, placing Diamond down on the ground and ran in the direction he heard the sound, Bakura following behind him.

They heard a girly like scream and Bakura came back with Weevil in his grip, Crimson trailing behind him. “Well, look what we have here, a little bug spying on us, I say we should use him for our chew toy until I feel like squashing him like the bug he is.” Bakura said, using his hard iron grip to break one of Weevil’s legs so he couldn’t run and dropped him to the ground, hearing him whimper in pain and licked the blood off his hand-like paw.

“I agree.” Crimson said and went to play with their new chew toy, tossing him around like a rag doll, relishing his screams of pain while Bakura went back to Ryou and lied his head in his lap once more and Yugi climbed into Yami’s lap, placing a kiss to Yami’s lips which he deepened.

After a nice day at the park, Ryou and Diamond waved goodbye to Yugi, Aqua and Yami and they left to go home, bringing Weevil with them. Yugi looked up at Yami and he smiled back down to him before placing him on his back and with silent agreement Aqua flew back home with Anzu while Yami flew another way with Yugi.

Aqua landed back at their home and went inside. He walked over to the hidden basement and opened the door, throwing her in. She grunted in pain then looked back up to the door. “You are starting to get more boring each day, you better think of something before your death wish come early but for now, here’s something to eat to at least keep you from dieing before we could kill you.” Aqua hissed, throwing a piece of bread he had to her and she picked up the bread, eating all she could.

He watched with a deadly glint in his eyes before he whispered a few words in his ancient language and a few small shadow demons appeared and he whispered a command into their minds and they started going after Anzu who did see them since she was still relishing the feeling of food that she didn’t have for two days.

Once she actually saw the demons, she screamed as she was attacked and sent a pleading look to Aqua but he didn’t pay no mind to her as he shut the door, leaving her at the mercy of the shadow demons. Identical screams were heard from the home of Bakura and Crimson.

“Yami, where are we going?” Yugi asked.

“I’m taking you somewhere special tenshi, Aqua did a favor for me a long time ago just in case we ever found a lover and now that we have you as our koi, I want to share it with you.” Yami said. Yugi smiled and hugged Yami around his neck as they flew over a deserted forest near the park.

Yami looked for the clearing and once he spotted it, he moved in to land and looked up to Yugi. “Cover your eyes Yugi, it’s a surprise.” Yami said and Yugi nodded, covering his eyes. Yami walked further into the forest and came up to the spot that Aqua set up a long time ago. “You can uncover your eyes now tenshi.” Yami said. Yugi did so and gasped at the forest glade.

There was a small lake there, surrounded by trees that sparkled in a enthralled light and pearl white lilies glowing like small candles filled the lake leaving to the imagination of a fairy tale. Yugi got off Yami’s back and walked around the glade, a smile lightening his features then he turned to Yami. “This is the best surprise I ever had Yami, thank you.” Yugi said and Yami smiled.

“Don’t thank me, thank Aqua also for setting this up for me once we found our true mate which is you tenshi.” Yami said, walking up to Yugi and placed a gentle kiss on his plaint lips then went over to the lake, saying a few words in an ancient tongue and Yugi watched in fascination as a small bed like Aqua’s appeared from the water, big enough to fit him and Yami in.

“Come on tenshi, we can spend the night here then go back home tomorrow.” Yami said and Yugi nodded, climbing into the bed with the help of Yami. He climbed in with Yugi and settled himself next to Yugi who cuddled up next to him. “I love you Yami.” Yugi said quietly and pat the side of Yami’s neck softly.

“I love you too tenshi, I’m glad we’ve found each other.” Yami said, bringing Yugi into a heated kiss, Yugi responding to the heated kiss, moaning as Yami’s tongue licked against his bottom lip and he gave him the entrance he wanted and Yami went to map out Yugi sweet orifice.

He broke the kiss when the lack of air was needed and Yugi looked up to him, smiling. He smiled back an pulled him into another kiss, wrapping a wing around him. After a few more passion filled kisses, they looked up at the stars. “Do you think stars can grant wishes Yami?” Yugi asked and Yami nodded. “I think they do, they gave our wish for a tenshi and you're our little tenshi, sent from the heavens to bring our hearts out of the foreboding darkness.” Yami said.

Yugi blushed and snuggled up to Yami, starting to feel the effects of sleep coming to him. “Well, then I hope my wish will come true also.” Yugi said, sleep catching up to him. “And what would that be tenshi?” Yami asked, curiosity showing. “That you, me and Aqua will be together forever.” Yugi said, his eyes closing as he finished.

Yami smiled and tucked his wing under Yugi more, covering from the cool night winds blowing through the quiet darkness. “I know we will be together forever tenshi, no one will take you away from me and Aqua.” Yami said quietly, seeing a shooting star appear after Yugi pronounced his wish and then curled his body around him as he fell into a fit full sleep, his angel always by his side.

Ryou: *smiles* Ok. *he left back into the room he came from*
