Broken boy
Malik and Ryou are on the run again. Yami
is now sitting in the waiting room at the hospital
crying his heart out.
"Please..Daddy be ok...(wimper).." Yami turned to the corner
of the room he didn't want the other people to see him. He
calmed himself down then took a deep breath. He walked
over to the nurse at the desk. "Is my dad gonna be alright?"
"We don't know yet." She said. Yami leaned on the counter
with his elbows in front and hands over his eyes. "Hey were
doing what we can your dad's in good hands...You ok?" She
asked. Yami took another breath and wiped his eyes.
"I'm ok..." He went to go sit back down.
Back at school Jou and Anzu were getting ready to leave school
together.
"Jou do you seriously like her?" Yuugi asked.
"She's alright." Jou said.
"She's annoying!" Yuugi whispered.
"See you tommarow Yuge." Jou laughed.
"By." Yuugi saw his Jichan pull up the the curb and honked. "Coming."
Back at the hospital the nurse informed Yami that his father was in recovery
and needed to stay overnight. He didn't want to go home because Ryou and
Malik might have come back. "I hope Yuugi is home." He said on the way out
of the door. Yuugi and Jichan just got home. As soon as they walked into the door
they saw and unexpected rare sight. Yuugi's mother was embracing crying Yami.
"What's going on?" Jichan asked.
"His dad's in the hospital so I told him he could stay here tonight."
"Thank you Mrs. Mutou." Yami held back his tears and let go of her.
"Hold on mom I thought you hated him?" Yuugi was confused.
"Well, I remember how tough it was for me when Jichan was in the hospital."
"She took her meds today." Jichan whispered to Yuugi. Yuugi chuckled.
"Here's the deal, you can supper with us and sleep on the couch ok?"
"Yes ma'am." he responded. Yuugi's mom and Jichan went into the kitchen
to talk. Yuugi sat next to Yami and looked at the floor.
"What's wrong with your dad?" Yuugi asked.
"He smoked something bad." Yami said.
"Do you smoke anymore?" Yuugi asked.
"No I haven't you know that...I think I'll get him to stop, after this he'd be nuts
to continue."
"Maybe you two can get your lives back on track now." Yuugi said.
"We've been in a rut so long I don't know if he can, I changed for you."
Yami said.
"Your coming back to school soon right?" Yuugi asked.
"Yes."
"I'll see you in gym then."
"Oh honey your casts are off, good." Yami said.
"I wish you could sleep in my room tonight." Yuugi winked at him. Yami just smiled.
"Can you come to the hospital tommarow with me?" Yami asked.
"Yes sure." Yuugi replied. Yami started crying agian.
"What is it?" Yuugi asked.
"I have to tell you something..."
