New Beginnings

(A/N: This is the same song I used in the first chapter, only these are the lyrics I had originally wanted to post. This song is from Tenchi Muyo, and is known basically as ‘Forevermore’ or as ‘Ryoko’s Love Song’. I own the rights to neither Tenchi Muyo or Yu-Gi-Oh! For those of you who can read the Japanese lyric can you email me the translation to it? As for the footsteps on the stairs, Joey and Seto are to wrapped up in a post sex high to notice their siblings have discovered sex, so the repercussions will take place later... This chapter is humbly dedicated to DragonDreamer Yami Dragon, Bakuirl,irl, and Keysha who have inspired me to keep going and cheered me on as a writer)

Joey traipsed down the stairs, humming to himself. He’d heard the same song Seto had played for him the first day in Hawaii. The song he’d heard had been in Japanese, but he knew the lyrics by heart. After hearing it, he’d been singing the song all day, now he new the regular lyrics, he’d been unable to get the song out of his head.

Seto followed him out through the kitchen and they walked out onto the moonlit beach. Now that Mokuba and Serenity wouldn’t bother them they decided to take a post sex moonlight swim.

They slid into the cool water, feeilng the waves lap at their skin. The smell of salt water and exotic flowers hightened their already sensitive senses. A wave wept towards the beach and splashed against the two as they kissed in the moonlight. Slowly the sky began to the east, with soft shades of purple, peach, and a soft pink glow..

Seto smiled as the sunrise began to unfold. It had been years since he’d been able to enjoy a sunrise, or even a sunset. Now, with Joey in his life, he knew totally how much love brightened one’s life. He pushed away memories of how he’d been cruel to the boy who now was swaying in his arms.

This song was sang in a feminine voice, but Joey’s soft tenor had enriched it beautiflly. Seto closed his eyes and listened to Joey sing. The sky changed to hues of brilliant pink, but in Seto’s love fogged mind, he forgot the old sailors’ proverb: “Pink in the morn, sailor be warned, Pink at night, sailor take delight”. Ominous dark clouds gathered just off the horizon.

Joey had finished singing the song and sighed. He looked at the sky and gasped. The blackness that had lined the horizon was now comming in quickly. Thunder rumbled.

“Seto let’s get inside, this moonlight swim is about to turn into a thunder swim. They left the water and went back into the house.


Mokuba and Serenity were fully dressed and asleep in each other’s arms on the couch. The condom wrapper lay on the floor by the couch. Seto picked it up, then woke his brother.

“Hey, go throw this away, then go on to bed.” Joey picked up Serenity and carried her to Mokuba’s room. He tucked her into bed with the younger boy and smiled at them. Even though he didn’t approve of them having sex, Serenity still needed a friend who’d hold her.
