Chapter 5


Saphrion was back in heaven after leaving Joey at a church were the dark angels could not enter even if they did find him. Saphrion was getting a big lecture from one of the high council.

They were telling him how uncivilized his action was going down to hell and how irresponsible it was especially for a power. Saphrion apologised and agreed that what he did was wrong even though it was for the sake of Joey’s life and the balance between heaven and hell.

As a power Saphrion must do everything he can to keep the balance in contact and spin the right way. No body knew that Joey was the key which could disturb that balance but Saphrion was going to keep that to himself for now.

Saphrion knew it the first time he met Joey that their was something about the human which could change everything. He risked his own life to make sure that Joey was not sent to hell.

If Lucifer got his hands on Joey and was able to pursued the human to do his bidding the power within Joey would be released. That power was something that no body could control and it could break both dimensions allowing the demons from hell to attack heaven.

Saphrion could not have that at least for now Lucifer’s eye was focused on him which could possibly give him enough time to figure something out.

Joey was getting impatient just waiting at the church by himself even when Saphrion told him he would be returning. Joey knew that Saphrion had gone back to heaven and was probably getting a scolding for going down to the underworld.

Soon just out of the blue Saphrion appeared “took you long enough” Joey stood up and walked towards the archangel. “So what did they say” Saphrion walked over to the window and looked out to see the view.

“I was told that what I did was inappropriate and not thought out properly which is something that can disgrace a power”. Joey just sighed “my god what you did was wise and brave that’s all I have to say by the way why did you go down to hell I mean you could have easily fought them” Joey questioned.

“Unfortunately archangels are not allowed to either fight or injure dark angels besides I had no choice in the matter to go with them” Saphrion said. Then something just popped in Joey’s mind “was it because of me”.

Since he didn’t get an answer from the angel Joey knew he had hit the spot Saphrion went with the dark angels because of him. “I apologise I guess I do make a lot of trouble for you, I think what is best is if we take our separate ways and you don’t come after me anymore”.

Joey was about to walk away when a hand grabbed his wrist “is that the thanks I get after risking my life for yours and you deciding on your own what would be best have you any idea what they could do to you the moment they catch you and take you to Lucifer” Saphrion let go of Joey’s wrist.

“I have decided on my own free will to make sure that does not happen do you understand Joey”. “You know I always thought you were a jerk however your not the bad but I’ve made up my mind me being with you will probably just make things worse especially since you are an archangel and I am a dark angel” Joey replied.

‘Clap clap clap’ “now that was a touching speech but please I think I’m going to puke” Saphrion quickly turned around. “Night how no dark angel is allowed to enter a church” Saphrion said but Night just laughed.

“That’s true but it doesn’t work on darks angels who use to be an archangel surly you would have known that since you are a power after all or did no body inform you of that” Night just smirked.

“What is it that you want”, “well my master wanted me to give you a message basically saying that you better be careful”. Suddenly Joey was caught from behind and Saphrion didn’t even realise since he was too focused on Night.

“Let me go” Joey was struggling “well power are you going to just stand their or will you do something, I think the only thing you can do to save your precious human is to fight unless you still have to follow that ridiculous rule how archangels are not allowed to fight darks angels what a laugh”.

Saphrion knew he had to do something and their was only one thing he could think of. He released his white wings and flapped them letting hundreds of feathers fly around everyone why the dark angels were to occupied trying to get the feathers out of their face Saphrion grabbed Joey and they vanished.

The silver feathers then just disappeared into dust “now that was stupid of you Saphrion”, “Night what should we do now” a dark angel asked. “Do not worry they wont be going any were far after that little stunt the power just did he would need at least a few hours to rest and we will have him right were we want him”.

Saphrion and Joey ended underneath a large bridge the archangel collapsed after using that strategy it takes a very big tool out of any archangel including a power. Releasing feathers from your own wings can weaken an angel until those feathers have returned.

The wings are an archangels and dark angels special power of source its what gives them their strength. When a single feather comes of their power weakens having to use so many of his own it would take a few hours for his strength to return.

If it was a lower rank archangel it would at least take them a few days but since Saphrion was a power it won’t take as long. Joey was worried he left Saphrion alone for a while why walking to the closest vending machine.

When Joey came back he had a bottle of water “here drink some” Saphrion knew that water wasn’t going to help but took the gesture since Joey was just trying to help. “Man this is all my fault I am nothing but problems” Joey felt really bad and Saphrion could tell.

The angel knew that it wasn’t time for Joey to know the truth because if he did then the human would defiantly go. Saphrion had to report back to heaven but it wasn’t really the best time to leave the human on his own.

Saphrion had to come up with something so then it would all be over and he could go back to heaven and continue his rightful job. As a power he didn’t really have the time to be doing this but their was no choice.

His duty was to make sure to keep everything in balance with one another even if the high council didn’t even get that was what he was doing. During the middle of the night Saphrion’s strength had improved but he felt a strong presence around and decided to check it out why Joey was sleeping.

Saphrion walked for a few minutes when he saw someone sitting on the grass not really being able to see since it was still dark. “So good to see you again Saphrion” the archangel stopped in his tracks.

“I should have known it was you Gabriel” the other angel stood up and walked over to him. “Michael told me you were still on earth and helping a human no doubt could you be falling for this human Saphrion”.

“I don’t have time for this” Saphrion was about to leave “then it is true hmm I wonder what god would think if he knew that one of his powers was in love with a human and not just any human a dark angel”.

“What is it that you really want Gabriel” Saphrion could not really stand the archangel standing next to him. Gabriel was one of the archangels who was considered one of the well known angels that humans talked about.

His rank up in heaven was higher than Saphrion “oh I didn’t really come here for anything just to say hi and to take an archangel back up to heaven since his time on earth has expired” Gabriel replied.

“What ever” Saphrion started to walk of “let me give you some advice Saphrion do not get to close with that human otherwise you will end up in hell and become a dark angel which is exactly what Lucifer wants”.

Saphrion took in Gabriel’s advice and walked away “huh its amazing what love can do however god will not give you a second chance” he said to himself watching Saphrion walk away.

When Saphrion returned and saw Joey fast a sleep he wondered to himself could it be true is what Gabriel said was what he was really feeling. Why this human what was so special about him is this how Arianna felt when she loved Joey’s father.

Of course nothing could ever happen between him and Joey and Saphrion had to get his head out of the clouds and remember his position. “Saphrion don’t go I’m sorry” the archangel heard Joey say that in his sleep.

‘Is he dreaming about me’ Saphrion thought to himself, he decided to just leave it and go to sleep himself.
