Save The One You Love
Chapter 5
Joey arrived back at his apartment “go and say thankyou she says” Joey said to himself. “Say thankyou to the JERK WHO SAYS HE IS IN LOVE WITH ME” he yelled out. The blonde flopped on the couch and put his hands up to his head. ‘I love you more than anything in this world’ Kaiba’s confession kept playing in Joey’s head over and over again, like it was a video tape being rewind to that one scene.
‘Knock knock knock’ their was a knock coming from Joey’s door. “Now what” he said to himself. Joey stood up and walked over to the door and opened it. “Mrs Smith is something wrong” it was Joey’s next door neighbour. “I heard some one yelling is everything alright” she said. “Everything’s fine Mrs Smith” Joey told her, “alright then” she replied and walked back to her apartment. Joey closed the door and then headed over to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
Joey was eating one of his frozen dinners that he had just heated up when his phone started to ring. He looked at his phone and decided not to pick it up he would just let who ever it is leave a message on his answering machine. The ring soon stopped until a voice came up on the machine which was Joey’s voice. “I’m not here right now please leave a message at the sound of the beep” ‘beep’.
“Hey Joey its Tristan I know your their so pick up okay” he heard Tristan on the other end. So Joey walked over to the phone and picked it up “hey” that was all he said. “I knew you where their” Tristan said on the other end. “What is it that you want Tristan” Joey asked him with a really dull voice. “I heard what happened today from your sister so I rang you to ask if your ok” he told Joey. “I’m fine well I have to go seeya” he hanged up before Tristan could say another word.
A bit later Joey had finished his tea and decided to get ready for bed. He went into the bathroom to brush his teeth but realised he had no toothpaste. “You have got to be kidding me” he said to himself. So Joey had no choice but to walk down to the shops to buy some more he just hated going to bed without brushing his teeth. He hadn’t undressed yet so he grabbed his wallet and left the apartment.
It was a good thing that all the shops where still open even if it was 9:30pm. It was only a 5 minute walk to the supermarket from his place which was good. When he arrived Joey got the toothpaste he wanted paid for it and left. He had to wait at the crossing lights to get to the other side of the road. “Come on I want to get home, stupid lights” he said to himself even though their where two other people also waiting to cross.
The lights finally turned red and the walk light turned green and so Joey started to walk across. Their was no traffic waiting for the street lights to go green, he was in the middle of the road. When their was this big SCREECH coming round the corner and coming straight towards Joey. Joey didn’t even realise it when he accidentally dropped his plastic bag with the toothpaste on the ground. He bent down to pick it up when he saw two bright lights coming his way really fast.
Joey’s mouth widened he was so shocked that he couldn’t move. “GET OUT OF THE WAY” someone yelled out to him. The car was just about to hit him when Joey was pushed out of the way. He rolled along the ground but he felt something or someone wrapped around him. When he finally came Joey realised that someone had just saved him. He couldn’t see the persons face because it was facing down.
“Thankyou for saving me” Joey said the face soon lifted up and Joey’s eyes widened. The person who had saved him was none other than Seto Kaiba. Joey’s surprised face soon turned into an angry face. “Let go” he said in a rough voice Kaiba let go of him and Joey stood up. He brushed himself of why Kaiba got of the ground. Joey was about to walk of when Kaiba grabbed his wrist “so is this what I get after saving your life” Kaiba said.
Joey yanked his arm away from Kaiba’s grip “I already said thanks but don’t think that saving me will score you any points” Joey replied. He then walked of Kaiba watched Joey walk of until he could not see him anymore.
When Joey got back home he had completely forgotten about his toothpaste. Of course it could have been squished by the car. Joey just decided to clean his teeth with some mouth wash, he got into his pyjama’s and was about to get into bed when he heard a knock on the door. “God this is a nightmare” he said to himself. He walked to the door and opened it but their was no one their. He then looked down and their was a plastic bag, so Joey picked it up. Their was something inside so he pulled it out of the bag.
Their in his hand was a tube of toothpaste with a small note saying ‘you forgot something’ and that was all. Joey was a bit puzzled as to who would have done this, oh well at least he could brush his teeth now.
Outside their was a black limo “where to sir” it was the driver “take me home now Charles” and the limo drove of.
Now I am sure you must know who was in the limo yeap it was Kaiba. Well I hope you have enjoyed this story so far. I will update soon…
