Yugi/Marik





Initially they'd tried to run. Well, Marik had run for it and Yugi followed, but it didn't do them any good as all escape passages were blocked off.



And so now, they were sitting in front of a mini-tribunal made up of Ishizu, Yami, and Kaiba.



The word damages was being repeated a lot as well as reimbursement.



Yugi didn't know what that other word meant, but he figured if he just kept his ears all flat and got some tears in his eyes they'd forgive him.



Of course, blowing a giant hole in a building wasn't like trying to make smoothies in the garbage disposal or dumping pasta in the bathtub.



He didn't think Yami was going to let this one go.



"Yugi! What were you thinking!?"



"Well!" He started, trailing off and looking at Marik. "That guy...was threatening Marik and stuff and..." Yugi poked his fingers together. "...I got scared."



Yami wiped his hand over his face and paced away, only to come back."You're grounded!"



"You're not my Grandpa!" he snapped, crossing his arms. "That stupid Neko was trying to eat us with Shadow stuff. In his face!"



"Yugi!" Ishizu gasped. "You're saying you did it on purpose!"



Yugi's look went back to that of a teary eyed kitten. "No!" He whimpered. "I was so scared! Marik's powers weren't working and I told everyone to stop, but they wouldn't listen!"





Ishizu came over and stroke his ears, completely taken in. "Poor baby..."



"Mrar..."



Kaiba frowned. "Don't be taken in by that garbage." He looked at Marik. "You're a liability. Why should you keep your job?"



Marik smirked. "Because I can make you let me."



Kaiba snorted. "Not for long."



The Golden looked at his nails. "I took Yugi to check it out, you know, see if he wanted to join. I was helping you."



"By causing millions in damage?"



Marik rolled his eyes. "Thousands, not millions. And if I killed anyone, it was only weaklings. But on the serious, I'm killing Bakura, so get ready for that."



"From what I saw in the hall, you won't be killing anyone. I think getting your ass handed to you will be a good thing!"



Yugi glomped Marik suddenly. "I'll kill anyone who hurts Marik!"



"YUGI!"



"What? Yami!" Yugi whined, wiggling his tail around. "Would you kill for Top Cat?"



Marik chuckled into his hands and Yami looked puzzled. Yugi blinked at Yami.



"You know, the homeless guy you're dating."



"WHAT?"



"Isn't his name-."



Marik covered Yugi's mouth, laughing. "Don't listen to him. Don't." he got up out of his seat and threw Yugi over his shoulder. "Bye Kaiba."



"We're not done talking!"



"Bye Ishizu!"



"Come home for dinner Marik!"



"Whaaatever!"



They disappeared upstairs and Yami blinked. "Who's Top Cat?"



Kaiba rolled his eyes. "Ishizu, something will be done about this."



The woman nodded. "I'll talk to him. Besides, if Yugi's interested in training, isn't that beneficial to us?"



And Yami spoke up. "Yugi won't be working with you. End of story. Now, show yourselves out."



Kaiba left immediately and Ishizu tried.



"Yami, you know just as well as I do that Yugi is dangerous. He's not the most stable -."



"He will never be apart of something that Monster ran! You understand!" He pointed a claw in her face. "Never." He walked off to the kitchen and she left, checking her cell phone.



Malik hasn't called, what is he doing?
