Seto and Jono just stared at eachother, both too afraid to say anything.
'What's inu doing here? Why is he here? Has he been spying on me?'
Seto felt the irritation inside of him.
"Inu. What are you doing here?" His voice sounded cold and irritated.
Jono came back to earth and rose to his feet, still blushing.
"I came over... and.. thought..." He didn't know what to say. The truth? That he was worried over the young CEO? "Uhm, I thought I would drop by and see how you feel since you haven't been to school lately.."
What the hell was that? Such a lame excuse...
Seto just stared at him before he got back his old face.
"Hmpf. Spare me your lies." He turned back to the bathroom to change. This time, he closed the door and locked it.
Jono blinked. Did Kaiba said that he lied? He call out:
"I'm not lying, Kaiba!"
No answer.
He felt the anger inside of him and banged on the door. He hated when people ignored him.
"Kaiba! Come out here so I can talk to you!"
He heard Kaiba growl.
"I don't take orders from you, mutt."
Jono shut his mouth for a second. Kaiba did sound really angry and Jono had practically broken into his house. But then he remembered what he had promised Mokuba. He was going to find out why Kaiba acted so strange why he'd almost hurt his own brother.
Seto came out from the bathroom. He'd put on a darkgreen shirt, the topmost buttons unbuttoned, and a pair of leatherpants pefectly streched alongside his legs. A belt with the letters "KC" was straped around his hips.
Jono couldn't do anything but stare with open mouth. To be a person that had problems he sure knew how to dress sexy. He couldn't resist wondering if Kaiba dressed up like that because of his, Jono's, presence. He immediatlely threw this thought away when Kaiba spoke to him.
"Can you just tell me what the hell you're doing in my house, mutt?" He still sounded irritated.
Jono came down to earth immediately and glared at Kaiba.
"What the hell's wrong with you, Kaiba?"
Seto just glared back at him and went over to his bed.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
He laid down on the bed and starred up at the ceiling.
"I'm talking about you being away from school all week! You, who doesn't even let a cold stop you from going to school! That you've been, if possible, even more a jerk than usual!" He breathed out to calm down a bit. "Besides, I want to know why you tried to hurt Mokuba.."
At that, Seto sat up straight in his bed and stared at Jono.
"How did you know about that?" he asked suspiciously.
"That doesn't matter. What does matter is why you did it."
Seto laid down again.
"That really isn't any of your business.."
"Yes it is! I happen to care for Mokuba, which you clearly don't!"
Seto felt the anger inside of him once again. He got up and stood in front of Jono. He glared down at the blonde.
"I care for him, more than I care for myself. But we had a fight earlier about things he don't understand! And clearly you don't either! So stop put your nose in other peoples business and get out of my house!"
Jono calmed down a bit.
"Kaiba, can't you just tell me..."
But Seto had had enough. He had had enough of people pretending to care about him. He was all alone. And he would continue to be alone.
"Get out, Jonouchi.. I don't want you here."
He turned, and laid down again.
Jono just stood there. He felt the tears in his eyes but refused to let them fall. Instead, he kept glaring on the brunette.
"Fine. I'm outa here! But just so you know, Mokuba's at Yugi's place right know and if you don't change soon I'm gonna let him stay there.. where he's safe." With that said, Jono turned on his heels and walked out of the room.
Seto burried his head under the pillow and groaned. The mutt had the upper hand but not for long.
-----
Jono randown the stairs. How could Kaiba be such a baka? He, Jono, is just trying to help him and this is his gratitude?
'Hell no, I'm outa here! I can't stay here a second longer.'
At the same time he opened the door, he was knocked on his back by a heavy wind blow. He laid on the floor, shocked. The blonde raised his head a little so he could look outside through the door. The snow fell just as before but the wind had increased in strength. It was almost like a hurricane.
'Okay, so I guess I'll stay. But only 'til the wind stops!'
He got up to close the door. When he looked out at the yard, his yaw dropped completely.
"Holy shit!"
The gates that led in to the yard was almost completely burried in snow, and that said a lot considering the gates where at least 3 meters high. Because the door, where Jono stood, was a little higher up than the ground it only covered about half of it.
'Kuso! If this keeps up, I'm never gonna get home!'
He closed the door, which wasn't that easy because of the 5 kilo snow that had poured in when he'd opened it. When he finaly got the door shut, he walked around on the ground floor. There wasn't as many doors down here as uppstairs, but you could easily get lost anyway. He found the kitchen but stoped himself from taking something to eat. A person's refridgerator was way too personal, he used to say.
He continued his walk in to the living room. He gasped yet another time. It wasn't because of the size of the room, no, it was the big TV and the hundreds and hundreds of video-games in the shelves. There was a Playstation 2, all the Nintendo-consoles and a Xbox 360. (YamiCarro: What can I say? I loove video-games! X3 ) It tickled in Jono's fingers but he managed to control himself a bit.
'Oh shit, I must be in heaven!'
He was just about to start a game when he thought that he probably should ask Kaiba first.
'But why should I need to ask him when he's being such a jerk?!' he thought and reached for a game. Then he stoped mid air. 'Then again, I shouldn't really be here.' He sighed in defeat. 'Well, I guess I should just sit down and wait for the wind to stop..'
-----
Seto laid in his favourite place, his bed. He still felt meaningless but after being depressed for a week he really had had the time to think things over.
He turned to his side and watched outside through the window for the umpteenth time. Inu was probably out there right now, fighting the blizzard. The brunette couldn't stop himself from feeling a little guilty but it was the mutt's fault anyway. He punched his pillow angrily. Why had the mutt been here in the first place? It wasn't like he cared or anything, but he had felt happy when he had seen his little puppy on the floor, with the cutest blush on his face..
What was he thinking? The blonde had probably been there to try and make fun of him or something..
Seto sighed and and turned on his back again with his hands behind his head. When he thought about it, He hadn't been that mad really when he found inu but his temper was so short these days that it only made him yell at him.
He sighed.. again.
"Maybe I shouldn't've send him away.."
But it was too late to do anything about it now.
He started to feel hungry. Maybe he could just go down to the kitchen and grab a sandwich. But that would mean he had to get up and walk all the way down to get there. He finaly gave up when his stomach started to complain. He got up from the bed and down to the kitchen. He made himself a sandwich and was just about to go up the stairs again when he heard noises from the living room. He wnt in there and before he got to wonder who the hell it was in there, he saw blonde hair in the couch.
Seto walked around the couch and watched down at the sleeping blonde.
'What? He stayed? Why?' Seto was really confused, until he looked out the window and was reminded of the blizzard outside. The mutt was probably not comfortable with going outside so he stayed inside. Seto guessed that the blonde would only wait for the blizzard to stop and then go, but instead he fell asleep.
Seto felt the urge to wake him up and throw him out in the snow. But when he watched the cute little puppy lay there and sleep, he couldn't stop himself. He bent down slowly and kissed the blondes forehead lightly. Jono didn't wake up, but when Seto pulled away he saw that he had a smile on his lips. Seto couldn't help but smile himself.
'Okay, he gets to stay here for the night but tomorrow he's out of here..' He didn't really believe his own thoughts. He didn't want his puppy to leave. He hadn't felt this happy for a long time, but he was sure that Jono would leave as soon as possible anyway.
He stroke some blonde hair from Jono's face and raised to his feet. Seto glanced one last time at Jono before he turned and went upstairs to his room.
Jono started to move a little in his sleep.
"Seto.." he mumbled without waking up. "Don't leave me.."
