The Mischief Begins

Author’s Note – Here’s another chapter for everyone’s enjoyment. I can’t believe how fast these things are coming out now. Well, I think I’ll just enjoy it while the motivation lasts. There were a lot of questions left in the reviews, and I think this chapter may begin to answer a few of them. I, for one, can’t wait to see what they’re going to do to get rid of Sachi and any other lover Yami might take. Those guys are a riot, I have to say! Huge huggles go out to DracOnyx and ladywolf_Terri!

Disclaimer – I still don’t own them. However, the plot bunnies and rabid wombat kennel are definitely mine.

Chapter Five – The Mischief Begins

The first thing Téa noticed when she entered the classroom was Marik. When he felt her gaze on him, the violet eyed yami winked at her and patted his pocket. That signal told her that he’d already started on the plans that had been hatched the night before. She grinned back at her fellow troublemaker and gave him a nod, telling him that she understood and approved.

As she took her seat, Téa realized that this was the first time in a very long time that she actually looked forward to see what would happen in school today.

The teacher came in and began class. Trouble began a few moments after roll was called. There was an irritated note in the instructor’s voice when she called upon the student that had captured her attention.

“Sachi, why are you sharing books with Yami?”

Bakura, who was sitting not too far from the blond haired dancer, bit back a grin as he noticed the uncomfortable expression on her face. Their first period teacher was strict, and he knew that her sharing with Yami would cause trouble. He settled into his seat, watching with an amused expression on his face.

“I couldn’t get into my locker to get my books.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“The combination didn’t work, and I didn’t want to be late to class.”

“So you came unprepared to my class and are now disturbing Yami and keeping him from his learning?”

An aggravated expression crossed the woman’s face when she saw the nod from the teenage girl she was questioning and she pointed to the door, a low growling sound in her voice.

“I couldn’t get into my locker.”

“That’s no excuse for being unprepared in class, Sachi! Outside, now!”

With extreme difficulty, Téa bit back a snicker of amusement as her fellow dancer was handed two buckets of water to hold while she stood outside the classroom door. Whatever Marik had done to keep Sachi from getting into her locker, it had definitely been worth it and the blue eyed teenager whole heartedly approved of the results. A low sound coming from behind her made her turn in her seat and she found Marik pointing at the door, mouthing the words ‘wait and see’ at her. Immediately, she turned back to the front and nearly laughed when she saw Malik dash into the classroom, purposefully tripping into Sachi.

Water went flying, dousing the blond haired girl, soaking her uniform thoroughly. Malik, by some odd twist of fate, remained dry despite the fact that he was laying on the floor, groaning dramatically.

“Malik? Are you all right?”

Sachi shrieked at the teacher, unable to believe that the instructor had paid attention to the blond haired Egyptian first.

“Is he all right? The clumsy oaf ran into me! I’m drenched!”

The teacher turned and looked at the girl, an angry gleam in her dark eyes. It was obvious to Téa that she was about to lose her temper fairly soon.

“Office, Sachi!”

With a sniff, the girl left the classroom and the teacher turned to Malik, kneeling beside him.

“Are you all right, Malik?”

Malik nodded and kept his head lowered so that his bangs were sheltering his lavender eyes. His voice shook a little, and Téa had to bite down savagely on her lower lip to keep from laughing at her friend’s antics.

“Yes, ma’am. I’m sorry I’m late. It took longer to get that stuff off of your car than I thought.”

“I understand, Malik, and thank you for volunteering to do that.”

Téa immediately understood what had happened, and it was all she could do to keep the hysterical laughter locked tightly away. Bakura and Marik must’ve trashed the teacher’s car early that morning and then Malik, playing the sweet hikari, had offered to clean it up for her. That had provided the right timing to run into Sachi and create that little water problem for her.

Malik, noticing the laughter dancing in the girl’s eyes, winked at her as he went to his seat. He knew that she had a few tricks up her sleeve to play on Sachi and couldn’t wait to see what she would come up with. Today was the first day that he, his yami, and Bakura had actually been eager to come to school. Between them and Téa, things would be extremely interesting.

After the bell rang, Marik pressed something cold into her small hand and winked at her again. She grinned in response and looked down, fighting back more laughter. Gleaming in the light was the lock that had originally been on Sachi’s locker this morning.

“Bakura didn’t have too hard a time cracking the combination. Stupid school really needs to make sure that their student’s personal belongings are more carefully guarded, don’t you think?”

Téa slipped the lock back into Marik’s hand, nodding and smirking.

“I think you’re absolutely right, Marik, and I think you and Bakura could make good use of this, don’t you?”

Marik, catching on, grinned wider and headed off to his next class. Téa knew that the lock they had taken off of the blond haired dancer’s locker would probably make another appearance before too long. She couldn’t wait to see what the two yamis had planned next.

Normally, the slender dancer hated having gym second period. She usually preferred to get her exercise in the afternoon but today, things were a bit different. After changing into her uniform, she met the hikaris and yamis in the gymnasium.

“You guys ready for another bout of suffering?”

Tristan playfully pulled on an ebony lock of hair as he responded to the teenager standing beside him.

“It shouldn’t be too bad, Ryuuji. We’re supposed to be playing baseball today, so there shouldn’t be any contact this time around. And that’s a game we all love to play.”

The emerald-eyed teenager smiled at his lover before eyeing his friends.

“You’re right, mo Chroí. It should be fun if we all get on the same team. I heard you had a bit of an accident this morning, Malik. Are you all right?”

Malik grinned, stretching slightly as he answered the dice master. His voice was light, telling his friends that he was in an extremely good mood.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Didn’t expect to hit the floor like that. That girl really needs to watch where she’s going.”

Ryou’s voice interrupted the conversation, jerking their attention away from the lavender eyed hikari.

“Holy fucking shit!”

They couldn’t comment on the oddity of his language because all of them noticed what had prompted the exclamation. Everyone else in the gym had also spotted the individual in question, and snickers could be heard from all over the large room.

Sachi had emerged from the girl’s dressing room, looking extremely uncomfortable and trying to hide it behind a façade of arrogance. Her uniform had been shrunken to the point where her butt was hanging out of the shorts and the top barely covered her. Another inch shorter for the top and the outfit would have gone from indecent to pornographic.

The snickers turned into laughter, with Bakura and Marik rolling on the floor in hysterics. Even Yami was laughing, not even trying to hide his amusement at the scene in front of him.

Unfortunately for Sachi, the laughter drew the P.E. teachers’ attention and there was a moment of stunned silence before both of them roared out the student’s name.

“Sachi!”

Stunned by the abrupt roar, Sachi jumped and stared at the teachers. It was obvious she was upset, but Téa felt no remorse for her. She leaned back against the bleachers and watched as the blond caught a lot of flak for the scandalously short P.E. outfit.

“What the hell do you think you’re wearing, Sachi?”

Sachi’s voice was quiet and meek sounding as she answered the female coach.

“My uniform.”

“Since when are the athletic uniforms this short, Sachi?”

She shifted uncomfortably, staring at her feet before answering the angry question. Her voice was getting quieter by the minute, indicating that she was definitely not at ease with the situation.

“I don’t know.”

“Do you think it’s proper to wear something like this?”

“No, ma’am.”

“Go change back into your school uniform and start running laps, Sachi. You and I will take this up with the principal when class if over. In the meantime, you owe your classmates an apology for disrupting their class.”

Sachi bowed and mumbled an apology before hurrying to the dressing room, accompanied by the teacher. Both emerged some time later and Sachi began running her laps, looking both embarrassed and angry.

The baseball game was fun, and Téa and her friends found themselves on the same team. All of them enjoyed the sight of Sachi running her laps, looking hot and uncomfortable in her uniform. She wouldn’t be comfortable all day considering her uniform was now getting sweaty.

“Damn, girl, what did you do?”

Téa cheered for Yugi, who had just stepped up the plate and then answered, knowing that Yami, who was selecting a bat for his turn, wouldn’t hear her answer. Her voice was low enough so that only her friends could hear her answer, not wanting to let anyone else know what she had done to Sachi.

“I shrunk a spare uniform and put it in her athletic locker. Her usual one is sitting in a toilet in the boy’s restroom in the main building, courtesy of Ryou.”

“I hope you washed your hands after handling that disgusting thing, Ryou.”

“Three times, Bakura, and with the water as hot as I could stand it.”

Malik shook his head before shouting enthusiastically as Yugi hit a double, bringing in two runs. This was one of the few sports the smaller teen enjoyed, and Malik was pleased to see he was doing well.

“That was a brilliant idea, Téa. I hate to see what more you have in store for her.”

Téa smirked for a long moment, watching Yami move to home plate. She looked back at her friends as she answered.

“There’s plenty more where that came from, I guarantee it.”

“Remind me not to piss you off, girlfriend. Tell me, where in the world did you come up with that idea?”

Téa grinned mischievously as she answered Malik’s question, knowing that he wouldn’t expect the answer at all.

“I didn’t think that one up. Your sister did.”

Author’s End Note – LOL!!! Looks like Isis can be just as devious as Bakura and Marik. Hmm, I think Téa talked to her sweetheart last night, huh? I hope you guys enjoyed reading this as I did working on it. I can’t wait to see what these guys will do next! Please review and I’ll see everyone soon!
