Chapter 5

Part 2 No lemon.
Inside lying on the bed was Ryou. He looked so pale and frail against the white bed sheets, with the covers pulled up to his waist you could see the white bandages wrapped around. Ryou laying there so frail brought a protective urge in Bakura.
Then guilt crashed upon him like waves knowing he was the reason why Ryou was lying there.
Bakura walked over to the bed, tentatively, arms at his sides he looked down at Ryou's angelic sleeping face. He reached out to brush a lock of Ryou's hair away when his eyes opened.
Ryou's POV
"Bakura," he murmured. Bakura pulled his hand back quickly.
‘It’s been a long time since Bakura's hands have been so gentle,’ thought Ryou. Ryou shifted up into a sitting position despite the pain it caused him.
"Well, started Ryou, "What do you need?"
"I-I came to apologize," said Bakura. "I'm sorry for what I did and for what I've done.
"Sorry for what?" asked Ryou. "Sorry for hitting me, making me bleed, not just from the wounds, but from the heart. Cause you know what Bakura, I loved you, through all the abuse and hurt and all you've got to say is 'I'm sorry'?" said Ryou in a heated voice the showed all of his anger and hurt.
The outburst shocked Bakura and hurt showed through his chocolate eyes from the truth of his actions being brutally thrown back at him.
"I watch you run to others for sex and whether or not you cared if you hurt me, you did," continued Ryou, while wincing with pain.
"Ryou stop talking, your causing yourself pain and it’s because of me. I swear I will not hurt you or cause you pain intentionally anymore," said Bakura.
Bakura blew out a sigh of defeat. "I never loved those people that I meet in clubs; I just went to them for sex. Something I couldn't do with you anymore," said Bakura. Bakura shushed Ryou when he would have interrupted.
"You can talk when I'm done. I have a dark past, a past much darker then you could imagine. I knew that I had to stop touching you before I really hurt you. I kept hitting you because I couldn't stop touching your skin. I'm sorry," he finished.
Ryou was silent for a moment, digesting what Bakura admitted.
"Bakura I'm sorry for your past but you couldn't you have told me instead because...?" asked Ryou. “Because of your actions you have hurt me deeply and scarred me for life," said Ryou. "I will forever hate you for what you did, but maybe in time I will have forgiven you. I loved you for a long time and a part of me will always love you. So good-bye Bakura, I hope you find someone who will love you and you can freely love them without the worries of your past," said Ryou. With that Ryou closed his eyes.
Bakura sensed that it was over turned and walked away but before he left he turned slightly and said," Good-bye Ryou," and shut the door.
Bakura felt slightly better after knowing that Ryou somewhat forgave him. Bakura walked out of the hospital with a slightly lighter heart.
