Damsel in Distress

Disclaimer : I don’t own Yu-Gi-Oh! In anyway, though I suppose changing the guys to girls is a definite thing for me. Ah, this would be my first real het/straight pairing fic ever, there may be some yaoi and yuri too. I need more reviews, at least two or three for a new chapter. O_o

Oh, expect some Yami/Katsuya goodness in here. And no, they won’t find Baku-chan…yet. And I realize I am a big dumbass, as I’m going by Japanese names and everything, and I completely forget to use Tea/Anzu and Tristan/Honda properly. But it won’t matter too much, since I’ll go back and fix my mistake. ‘Sides…they’re not too important to the story. X3

Double Trouble
Chapter 5

Despite the fact that this was all strange beyond anything he’d seen, and he’d seen many a strange thing, this all seemed like it’d prove an aid on his road to collecting the Millennium items. Bakura rubbed his chin in thought. Beating a girl at a duel would be infinitely easier than to try and beat Yami with his habit of come from behind victories from defeat.

Overpowering Mal for the rod would be as easy as getting the puzzle from Lady Yami, and even if the Queen proved more difficult, he could work his way around it. At some point, he was sure some of the girls and some of the others were bound to start falling for each other. The tomb robber just had to find out who Yami was smitten by.

As he put on a sinister smirk, the dark spirit leaned towards his hikari, “Ryou, did Yugi mention anything where Yami and one of those girls are concerned?”

“What do you mean?” The albino boy side glanced him, sipping from his drink with a raised brow.

“I mean, does he like any of the girls? You know, in the way that makes you blush because you’re such a little pussy.”

“Nahkti!” His hikari snapped, looking a little enraged. But this was Ryou, he couldn’t really pull off the look of rage for very long, looking down, “I don’t know…I think Katsuya, since Yugi mentioned he’s done things with her. But I think it was all involuntary.”

:Katsuya is that big boobed blonde that looks like their friend. Forget Lady Yami, this will be as easy as making Aibou blush.: Without anymore said, Bakura jumped from his chair and catapulted towards the door, only stopping when Ryou gave a shout.

“Just where do you think you’re going?” The timid boy inquired, standing to approach him with a frown.

“None of your business, so shut up.” Was his reply along with a cuff to his temple. Ryou rubbed the sore spot and winced as the tomb robber slammed the door on his way out.

Their first night in the large mansion went very well. Neither Kat or Mal had destroyed anything, Seti had remained fairly stable, and Yugi-chan and Lady Yami had behaved as angels to a fair extent. All of which Kaiba was thankful for. As promised, Yugi, Yami, and Jounouchi had come. They didn’t really care to have Tea or Tristan involved too much.

“Hey! Can we go shopping for clothes?” The blonde girl came bouncing down the stairs, Mokuba along for company. Seto had been on the verge of several heart attacks when he noticed his little brother hugging Katsuya several times already.

Yugi side glanced his yami with a soft chuckle, “Watch out, you might have some competition in Mokuba, Yami…”

The Pharaoh him him an exasperated frown before he caught sight of the younger Kaiba latched onto the blonde’s waist, his brows then knit together. Maybe he was a little jealous.

“If I give you money to go shopping.…will you be quiet and stop pestering me?!” Kaiba roared, glaring at her with a feverish twitch to his brow. Kat looked thoughtful before she nodded vigorously. The CEO grumbled as he handed her what she wanted, enough for herself and the other three, “Pick up enough for a few days for you and those three. Seti can take care of herself. And no, Mokuba, you can’t go with her.”

“Aw…” His little brother pouted at that.

Yami’s frown grew into a worried one as he caught the leaving blonde’s arm and looked to them, “Is this such a good idea…shouldn’t she be escorted?”

“Oh, I’ll be fine. It’s not like we have someone after us or anything.” Katsuya piped, worming her arm from his grip before she sprinted off, leaving no room for any aent.ent. The spirit still seemed concerned as he watched her take off.

“I’m sure she’s bound to be fine. She may get hit on, but it’s broad daylight and no one’s going to pull anything in a mall setting. You are having the limo drive her, right?” Seti cast a puckered brow over at her counterpart who nodded with assurance that Katsuya was indeed getting a ride to and back. But Yami wasn’t feeling any better in his worries.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Even though it was nice to ride in something as fancy as a limo, it wasn’t Katsuya’s cup of tea. She preferred something like a jeep without doors and with the canopy down. Something nice and breezy. But she was stuck having to stay comfy on the leather seats that hiked her skirt up to the point where her hindquarters were pretty much rubbing against it. Not exactly her idea of comfy.

When the limo came to a stop, she lifted her hips to fix her skirt before stumbling out. Turning and poking her head into the window, she gave the driver a lopsided grin, “Just, um, come back here in three or so hours…yeah, that’ll work!”

The driver rewarded her with a funny look before he left her. Katsuya wrinkled her nose for a second and then proceeded to start window shopping. She knew Lady Yami liked her leather, Yugi preferred cutesy things, she herself liked the loose and comfortable.

Stepping into one shop, the blonde browsed for a couple of things, not suspecting she was being watched as she shopped. It was only when she shook her head and turned from the rack of leather skirts did she accidentally bump into Bakura. For a moment, she thought it was Baku-chan but she realized she was a little mistaken, though she wondered why the tomb robber would be in a womens’ store.

“Oh, hi. I didn’t think I’d run into anyone…um, why are you in here?”

Bakura chuckled, a mock gentleman front as he let a hand rest on her cheek, “My, you’re such a cute thing. And where are the other girls? Shopping all alone?”

“Um….” Katsuya glanced away as she edged away from the touch as subtly as possible, “Yeah, I know their sizes, so while they look for our Bakura…I get us clothes for a little while.”

The albino spirit smirked as he grabbed her hands, guiding her from the store, “Well, that’s interesting. Not much fun though, such a pretty girl like you shouldn’t be alone. Perhaps I should accompany you, I seem to recall this store with the greatest clothing. Stuff I’m sure all of the others would love.”

“Oh…! Really? Where?” She beamed at that, though she felt very strange going with him. He made her nervous, very much so.

“Well, it’s away from the mall. Near the warehouse district.”

Her brows knit at that, sure she seemed completely clueless most of the time, but all the ’horror’ stories Seti told her scared her from getting into certain scrapes half the time. Katsuya paused in her step, looking nervously at him, “Um, maybe later?”

Bakura sighed dramatically, shedding a mock tear as he faked a hurt expression, “What…you don’t trust me? I’m not a bad guy, just very misunderstood.”

But Katsuya was a sucker when it came to a disappointed acquaintance, even if he did make her nervous. “Er, no…I’ll go, I’ll go.”

The tomb robber gave a wicked grin as they continued on, he noticed every slight whimper and watchful look she threw left and right until he looped an arm about her shoulders. His crimson eyes narrowed as he smiled disconcertingly, “Now now, I won’t let anything happen to you…” That seemed to ease her troubled mind as he stopped them before this particular warehouse.

Katsuya looked it up and down with scrutiny, “Are you serious…this place is kinda dumpy.”

“Dumpy? Interesting choice of term. And yes, I’m serious. Now…” He placed both hands over her eyes, causing her to yip in surprise and begin to try and remove his hands. The tomb robber smiled, voice full of honey, “Now, now! I want you to be shocked when you go inside, no peeking okay?”

The blonde girl made an unsure noise as he guided her in, her shoulders hunched tensely and hands balled up against her chest. Sometimes she hated surprises, especially when it all smelled fishy, “Ummmm…I think I change my mind…Yeah, yeah, I changed my mind. I’m gonna go…”

“Go? But the fun is just starting.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Something must have happened, she may be a real blonde, but she wouldn’t miss a rendezvous with the limo driver…” Lady Yami hissed, pacing back and forth with agitation. Katsuya had missed the driver and an hour after, they got no word from her.

The Pharaoh scowled to himself, he knew letting her go off alone was an unbelievably stupid idea. The worse thing was they had no clue what could have happened. They had no where save the mall to search, which they began to once Ryou and Malik joined them. Yami’s eyes narrowed, “Where’s the tomb robber?”

“I don’t know, really. Last I saw of him, he was asking about you and the girls, then he took off.” The albino boy replied, looking rather worried over the entire ordeal himself.

“What? What was he asking?” Malik demanded with slight surprise, turning to him.

Ryou looked like he concentrated on the answer for a moment before it dawned on him, “He had asked if Yami was interested in one of the girls. I told him Yugi said he and Katsuya did some things.”

The Queen cleared her throat loudly, “Some…things? Like, what things are we talking about here, hm?”

But Yami paid her little attention as he snarled in anger, fists clenched tightly, “That bastard tomb robber, he has something to do with Katsuya’s disappearing, I know it. Ryou, can you sense him out if you’re close enough?”

“Maybe…”

The group, which was consisted of Yami, Ryou, Malik, and Lady Yami, went down to the mall district where Katsuya had last been seen. With another vicious growl, the Pharaoh turned to Ryou, “Well?”

Ryou closed his eyes as he strained to feel his dark spirit out, it was very faint until he heard the evil hiss from the yami in the back of his mind, :Ryou, so good you’re about. And with Yami. Bring him down to the warehouses.:

:Do you have Kat?:

:What if I do, what if I don’t, I’m not going to tell you. Now move.:

:Now you can’t-:

:MOVE!:

The boy jumped with a yelp, looking at the others unhappily, “In some warehouse…”

“Does he have Kat? Is she all right?” Lady Yami demanded with concern but she was just given a shrug for an answer. She looked remarkably calm despite how frustrated the boys knew she had to be.

“Nahkti won’t say…he just wants Yami to show up.”

“Then he does. Let‘s go.” The puzzle spirit stalked on ahead, followed behind by the trio. His red violet eyes darted back and forth, looking for any clue as to where the tomb raider could be hiding. But there was nothing that he could see that told him anything and all he could do was grind his teeth together in irritation.

Malik slowed down to come to a halt as he looked at something. His pale eyes went narrow before they widened and he turned to call to them, waving an object up in the air, “I found something. Not exactly the sort of thing I wanted to find, but it’s something none the less.”

“What?” Ryou inquired before gasping, turning red as a strawberry as a pair of white panties with a rose bud on the front was shoved in his hands, “What are you-!”

“Those are Kat’s!” Lady Yami cried, snatching them away, looking them over, her blood was beginning to boil in fury, “That pervert! He’ll pay for this!”

Just then, Malik retrieved them for closer examination, the Queen looked ready to go medieval on him for that. He smirked as he looked up, “Bakura wrote the warehouse number on them, it’s No. 7.”

It took them a while before they finally found the right warehouse, the No. 7 located very close to the pier. They didn’t hesitate as they shuffled in through the open door, Ryou stayed outside should he have to run for any help. But they were fairly certain they could get Bakura under control should he try anything funny.

The three saw nothing in the darkness as they spread out, Yami approaching the very center. He grunted loudly as he walked into something that came just above his waist. Then the lights flashed on overhead and he winced as his vision adapted. He had walked into the banisters separating him from the pool of water in the center of the building.

Why there was such a thing was beyond him as he snorted briefly, his gaze snapping up as he heard someone scream just ahead of him. There was Katsuya, ppedpped upright and spread eagle to an anchor only a few feet above the water. The girl was also topless, save her bra and Yami was thankful Bakura had the decency to leave her skirt well alone. She wriggled in her bindings when she saw him, “Yami!”

He gasped in surprise, looking around for any sign of the tomb robber was he bolted to make his way onto the catwalk that went across the water and just before the anchor, “Hang on, I’ll get you down!”

“Wait a minute, it’s a trap!” That stopped him just before he set foot on the catwalk. Katsuya stopped trying to struggle in her bonds to look at him pitifully, “The water’s electrocuted and if you walk on there it’ll give out under you…”

Yami wasn’t too surprised to see Bakura still had no objection to getting the Puzzle no matter what. He would have normally commended him on his persistence, had he not put the blonde into so much jeopardy, “All right, Bakura, show yourself! Are you such a coward you need to threaten a poor girl to get at me?”

“Coward?! Ha! I prefer to be called underhandedly vile to that.” The white haired spirit slinked from the shadows to stand on the opposite side of the pool, “By the way, Pharaoh, I assure you she’s blonde, through and through. Ahem…I made sure to check.”

“Bastard!”

The tomb robber wagged a finger at him with a light ‘tut tut’ as he smirked evilly, propping one hand onto his hip as he brought his other arm up, adorned with a dueling disk, “I’ll let her go, safe and unhurt if you beat me in a duel. However, if you lose, you won’t be losing just the girl’s life. But also your Millenium puzzle…so, are you game, oh great Pharaoh?”

At this point, Malik and Lady Yami had arrived, standing on the sidelines. The Queen gaped at her tied up friend as the Egyptian boy scowled at Bakura, “What are you doing, you imbecile?! We don’t have time for your games!”

“Shut up, Malik, I’ll succeed where you failed!”

“You’re wrong, tomb robber.” Yami growled, a dangerous glint in his eyes as he snatched up the second duel disk that had been brought for his use by the other spirit. He clapped it on after checking for any trickery and slipping his deck in, “You’ll rue the day you decided this would be a good idea.”
