Demons of the Dark

Yugi: Ok, as you all know Zypher has been getting chapters out pretty quick so as an extra, she’s going to add in Seto/Jou. Malik/Marik, Topaz/Toben and Bakura/Ryou pairings as a thanks for all your reviews.

Ryou: Now here is chapter 5 of Creatures of the Night.


Chapter 5

The next day Yugi woke up next to Yami and blushed a bit before getting out of bed and got ready for school. Aqua who was still asleep around the bottom of the bed, felt around for Yugi’s small form then woke up when he couldn’t find him next to him or Yami and looked around for Yugi.

He heard distant singing with his enhanced hearing for being a full demon breed and followed the beautiful voice up until he came up to the front window and saw Yugi sitting there softly singing, the sunlight shining down on him, making him look like an angel sent from Ra himself. ‘Our little angel, so beautiful when he sings.’ he thought, smiling as he went to back upstairs to wake up Yami.

After doing their morning routines, Yugi, Yami and Aqua left to go to school, meeting Yugi’s friends once they reached the front gate. “Yami, should I tell them that you and Aqua are demons?” Yugi asked, feeling nervous at what his friends might say about him loving two demons.

“If you want itoshii.” Yami said, rubbing Yugi’s shoulder to keep him from being nervous. Yugi smiled and then walked up to his group of friends. “Hey Yugi, did you hear about the girl that died yesterday?” Diamond asked. “Yeah, Anzu was the one who died yesterday night.” Yugi said which shocked everyone but Yami and Aqua who knew what happened since they were the ones that killed her.

“But, how do you know Yugi?” Jou asked. “Well after our date, which Anzu ruined but Malik and Topaz was there to help, Yami and Aqua took me back to their house so I could get some rest and when I woke up to a loud roar from outside I found out that Yami and Aqua were demons.” Everyone gasped and turned to Yami and Aqua.

“Don’t worry, they didn’t hurt me, but when I followed them when they left, I crashed into Anzu who was running away from them cause they were chasing her. Once they saw me, they stopped going after her and came up to me, since they were demons they didn’t know it was me until they caught onto my scent from my clothes. Even when they’re demons they showed me that they loved and cared for me but that’s when Anzu had to intervene and got them mad which cause them both to kill her for making me cry.” Yugi finished.

“Wow, I never thought that you would be in love with two demons Yugi,” Diamond said, turning to Yugi. “But if they protect you and keep you happy them were all happy.” She finished with a smile. Yugi smiled back at them then looked at the time. “Well we better get to class before we become like Malik and be late.” Yugi said and they all laughed, even Yami and Aqua. “Hey! I’m not late all the time.” Malik said which just made them laugh harder as they walked into the school building, never aware of the ice blue and ruby red eyes watching Jou and Kaiser.

During class, Mr. Himura introduced two new students, Seto Kaiba and Ruby Jewelgate. Seto was a brunet boy with cold azure eyes that, to Yugi looked like they softened when he looked at Jou. Ruby was a red-furred sphinx with cold ruby eyes like his name but looked like they softened when he spotted Kaiser lying beside Jou’s desk.

‘Could those two like Jou and Kaiser?’ Yugi thought as the teacher gave them their assigned seats near Jou and Kaiser. Jou looked at Seto and Ruby and saw that they were both looking at him and Kaiser so he turned back to the front of the classroom. ‘So my little puppy is trying to ignore me, well he won’t doing much of that after tonight.’ Seto thought then started to pay attention to class, a small part of his and Ruby’s mind working on how to keep Jou and Kaiser with them forever.


~*After School*~

“Well, me, Aqua and Yami are going to the arcade, would you guys like to come?” Yugi asked. “Sure we’ll go.” Jou said as he and Kaiser came up to Yugi. “Sorry Yugi but me and Ryou have to take care of some things back at home.” Diamond said as she and Ryou walked on their way home, waving back to Yugi, Yami, Aqua, Jou and Kaiser.

They waved back to them then left to go to the arcade, Seto and Ruby following behind them silently. Once they reached the arcade, they split up to go play their own games and were to meet back at the entrance before it got dark. Both Seto and Ruby stayed hidden as they watched Jou and Kaiser played their games. ‘Soon pups you will be with you masters.’ Seto thought.

As time passed, it got dark and they all met back at the entrance. “Well, we better get going, Yami and Aqua will become their demon forms soon and I would like to help them find a suitable meal for tonight so I’ll see you tomorrow Jou and Kaiser.” Yugi said as he climbed onto Aqua’s back behind Yami and he flew off.

Jou and Kaiser waved goodbye to them before they started on their way home, unaware of Seto and Ruby following them out of the arcade, their minds comprehending Yami and Aqua b dem demons since they believed that they were the only ones left next to the myth of Bakura and Crimson, two very large dark demons known for their large appetite on eating humans whole and no evidence of the person was ever there in the first place* and Marik and Toben, two dragon demons known to worship the ever powerful Winged Dragon of Ra.

Seto got rid of the thought and kept following his and Ruby’s pups before going to duck in an alley and felt the change of their own demon forms. Seto hybrid dragon form resembled a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the white scales gleaming in the moonlight. Ruby’s demon form resembled the rare and legendary Ruby-Eyes Red Dragon**, the ruby, his source of power, gleamed eerily red in the moonlight.

They jumpp inp into the air and unfurled their wings and made their way over Jou and Kaiser, keeping themselves hidden from being seen by Jou and Kaiser, making them scared and run away, breaking their hearts to see them run away from them. “So, when shall we get them Seto?” Ruby asked, happiness glinting in his eyes at the thought of having his golden sphinx pup beside him just like Yami and Aqua have their angel.

“Soon Ruby, very soon. Once the time is right we will have them with us forever.” Seto said as a sapphire blue mist gathered around his wings. Ruby nodded just as the same mist formed around his wings except it was a ruby red mist. They both flapped their wings in the direction of Jou and Kaiser and the mist mixed together and enveloped around them, making them pass out on to the sidewalk.

Seto and Ruby landed next to them and picked up their respective koibitos and jumped back up into the air and flew off back to their home, narrowly avoiding being seen by Yami and Aqua who were hunting around the area they picked up Jou and Kaiser from. They didn’t want to be caught by them looking like they’re holding Jou and Kaiser hostage.

Then it all clicked in Seto’s mind, in ancient times, 8 people, 4 boys and 4 rarely found mythical animals that belonged to each of them were cursed to become the ever rare yet powerful flesh eater demons that would roam the earth for all eternity with no love unless they are find their destined one and once they do they shall wait for the Blood Moon to rise to propose to the one they love and to change them into a demon to join with the demon they love the same night.

Seto then remembered that the boys and the mythical animals that were changed were none other than himself, Ruby, Bakura, Crimson, Marik, Toben, Yami and Aqua and so far Yami and Aqua had found their love just like he and Ruby did. ‘Now all we need to do is figure out where Marik, Toben, Bakura and Crimson is hiding before they live without their love and kill our kois out of anger and jealousy.’ Seto thought as he and Ruby landed at the Kaiba mansion.

Not far away, two figures watched as Seto and Ruby gathered their koibitos and Yami with Aqua took their angel with them to hunt. ‘So the dragons have their pups and the hybrid and dark dragon have their little angel, well if we can’t finds ours then they won’t be having a puppy or angel anymore.’ The figure with narrowed brown eyes thought as he looked down from the rooftop he and a obsidian dark sphinx demon sat on before spotting their next meal, a plump man walking on the lonely sidewalk and with a flash of pearly white fangs they striked,vingving nothing behind like the ancient myth said.

Yugi: There’s the next chapter for you all now Zypher will tell you what all of her meanings in the story.

*: Yes I did make Bakura and Crimson sound like blood maniacs but he and Crimson are dark demons and in my bios (once I get to it) dark demons are very and I quote very dark and love blood and humans so basically that’s why the myth that Seto thought about said that but this will all change in the next chapter or so.

**: This is almost like the Blue-Eyes except like his name said he is red and has ruby red colored eyes and in many of my stories if I include duels in them some of my original chars would be a part of the duel like a helper monster of sorts and can fuse with another monster that’s already on the field to become a new one but will still have the same atk/def, effects and type for example:

Red-Eyes Black Dragon + Kaiser = Amber Eyes Gold Dragon

Blue-Eyes-White Dragon + Ruby = Ruby Eyes Red Dragon

Exodia + Aqua = Exodian Dragon

Man-Eater Bug + Crimson = Man Eater Sphinx

Legendary Fisherman + Sapphire (Mako’s sphinx) = Plays as the shark that the Legendary Fisherman rides on or plays the Legendary Sphinxfisher

Necrofear + Diamond = Necrosphinx

Serpent Night Dragon + Blade (Rex’s sphinx) = Serpent Night Sphinx

Insect Queen + Scythe (Weevil’s sphinx [don’t know why I gave him one but I’ll be nice to him only this once]) = Insector Sphinx

Dark Magician + Wolfe (Yugi’s wolf who doesn’t show up much in my stories but will appear sooner or later) = Magician Wolf

Revival Jam + Topaz or Toben = Revival Sphinx

And while I’m still here I’ll explain a few of the new chars that have shown up in the list.

Blade: A sphinx that had a bad past but it all changed when Rex found him bruised near his home and gladly took him in so he could heal and as thanks became a permanent duel partner for Rex and Rex gladly came to like Blade and taught him the different dinosaur cards that he keeps in his deck.

Sapphire: A water sphinx that helped Mako get to the nearest shore when his father’s boat was destroyed in the storm and during Mako’s time as an orphan took care of him like his own child and helped Mako during Battle City and Duelist Kingdom and they both gave each other new information about the sea and Sapphire planned to help Mako find his father since he believed that Mako’s father which would be his own is still alive.

Wolfe: A blue-furred wolf that belong to Yugi when he was only 7. Once Yugi completed the Millennium Puzzle, Wolfe knew that he will be protected and maybe even loved by the spirits inside so he left Yugi on his own unless he is needed in Yugi’s time of need.

Scythe: This sphinx was found by 7 year-old Weevil when he was still encased in his cocoon and Weevil being a bug lover, wanted to know what would come out of the cocoon and took care of it gently. When Weevil turned 10, Scythe came from the cocoon and Weevil was fascinated by the new breed of animal he was and took care of him until he was full grown. As Weevil turned 17, Scythe claimed he would be Weevil’s duel partner but is a bit reluctant at times.
