Yumi: Oh yeah! Ryu Tiamat it's nothing personal it's well just...we don't like here. Her friendship shit was a waste of an episode and she is not all goody-goody in the American version of the episodes I mean she likes both Yugi and Yami. Two-timer! And she is still being controlled by Marik and all. It's nothing personal. We understand if there are people who like her but there can be people who don't like her and we're one of them.

Life as a Human

{Joey’s Pov}

It’s been two weeks since Seto made me his. Serenity was also turned into a human. She is a very beautiful girl, I’m very happy that she likes the life of a human. I’ve gotten used to this huge house that I live in with Seto, his brother Mokuba, and my sister Serenity.

I walk through the halls of the house. Seto is at work so I don’t have much to do. Mokuba has school so I can’t play with him (Like catch!). Serenity is somewhere still exploring.

“Joey!” I hear a light voice call me. I turn around to see Serenity running up to me. Her dark brown hair flowing behind her. I open my arms inviting her. She bounces into my arms hugging me tightly.

“How’s the exploring, Serenity?”

“It’s going great. This house is so big! I met a lot of people that don’t stay over night but do a lot of chores for the house.” She stats to me with a smile.

“I think Seto told me that those people work here.” I tell her. She walks around looking at the portraits on the walls.

“Why aren’t these pictures of Seto and Mokuba?”

“Seto told me he bought those pictures. There not supposed to be of anyone in his family just...random.” I tell her. She rounds her lips shaping them as a “O” to motion that she understood.

“Oh, Joey guess what?! I met this really nice guy named Tristan.” She tells me. Should I know this Tristan? Is he doing something to my little sister? She’s only been human for two weeks!

“I want you to meet him, Joey.” She tells me. Wait. Me meet my sister’s friend? I hope friend. I nod at her trying to get my thought in order.

“Then come on, Big Brother. He works here in the kitchen.” She tells me walking down the stair case. I follow her trying to find out why she would want me to meet this guy. Does she like him?

I didn’t notice but we are already at the kitchen. I walk inside following Serenity. I see a lot of people, both male and female. I even notice some look a likes.

There is a boy that is very short compared to me. He has dark hair, defying gravity, blonde bangs, and violet eyes that make him seem gentle. (Yumi: Guess who?) I see his looks a like who is similar but has blood red eyes that seems more aggressive.

I see a slightly taller boy with long white hair, light chocolate eyes, and a kind of feminine look to him. If he wasn’t wearing such tight revealing jeans I would’ve thought that he was a female. His looks a like looks so similar that you could barley tell them apart. (Yuji: Uh-huh you know who) The only difference is that his features show him as a more menacing type and he torso seems more muscular.

And there’s also a boy with blond hair up to his shoulder blades, purple orbs, and tan skin. He seems a on task but his eyes have a glint to make him seem calm and scary at the same time. His look a like is the same except he has a more maddening looking his eyes and his features are very sharp. (Yumi: Yeah you all know who we’re talking about! We made them kitchen workers! I know we said we wouldn’t have any Yamis and Hikaris but we never said we wouldn’t add them.)

“Joey meet Tristan.” I hear Serenity say. I look at the man she introduces me to. He ’s tall with brown hair gelled to a point on the top of his head. He doesn’t seem violent or menacing at all. If anything he seems...playful. He has wide smile making it seem like he doesn’t have a care in the world.

“Tristan meet my big brother, Joey.” She tells the guy. He sticks his hand out to shake mine. I shake his hand in returns.

“Hey man you got some grip. I heard you’re Kaiba’s boyfriend I guess you’d have to be strong.” He says to me. I don’t know if I should take that as an insult or compliment.

“Hey guys come meet someone!” He calls to the other people I saw before. They all come over and look me up and down. Or at least three of them. The other three, the ones that look more gentle, say a “hello” to me.

“Come on, guys don’t be mean to the new guy.” I hear Tristan say behind me. The mean looking blonde and white hair guys shrug.

“Now, now Bakura you don’t want to seem mean, do you?” I hear the more gentle white hair boy says to his look alike.

“You guys better introduce yourselves ‘cause I ain’t.” I hear Tristan say.

“Yugi.”

“Yami.”

“Ryou.”

“Bakura.”

“Malik.”

“Marik.”

“Oh well I’m Joey.” I say to them. Ryou nods and then looks at Serenity and smiles at her. How many friends did this sister of mine make?

“Oh Kaiba’s boy. I heard he had a lover but a blonde.” I hear Bakura say to me. I feel a bit of anger but calm down when I see Yami and Marik chuck his head. Seeing that they’re both blonde too.

“I hope your satisfied with your lovers ’cause these boys are off limits.” I see Marik say pointing at a now blushing Yugi, Ryou, and Malik. I then see Yami wrap his arms around Yugi, Bakura wrap his arms around Ryou, and Marik wrap his arms around Malik. I laugh. Why would I want to give up Seto. Never!

“Don’t worry.” I say to them.

“Hey wanna hang out. We’re done for the day,” I hear Yugi say. Well it would give me something to do.

“Oh please Joey can we go?” I look over at Serenity her eyes completely pleading. I sigh and nod my head. I hope Seto won’t get mad.

“Great lets go then.” I hear Bakura say.

“Where though?” Ryou questions. I shrug. How am I supposed to know I’m still new in this city.

“Why not Ryou’s house?” Malik asks. Everybody nods. I hear them say something about it has a lot of room for us and Ryou makes the best food. I look at Ryou who is blushing for the compliment.

“Well come on then.” Tristan says as he motions for the back door. We walk down a few streets till I see I very nice looking house it wasn’t fancy but a normal nice looking house.

“Well, here’s my home.” Ryou say walking up a small path. He grabs a key from his pocket and opens the front door. We enter and go to the living room. I see Marik and Bakura shrug on the couch.

“Hey I know we have to work and all but why for a kitchen?” Marik asks.

“Because Yugi, Ryou, and Malik are good cooks.” Yami stats.

“And we’re the muscle.” Bakura says after that. Marik nods and I see Serenity and Tristan in a conversation of their own. Yugi comes up to me with a plate of cookies.

“Ryou made them want some?” He asks me. Yami grabs Yugi and puts him on his lap.

“And what about me?”

“Joey ‘s a guest.” Yugi mentions. Yami lays back on the couch releasing the little one and letting him put the cookies on the table.

“Hey...Bakura! You ate the last of the ice cream by yourself?!” Ryou questions from the kitchen.

“No I didn’t we used it last night.” Bakura laughs. Marik and Malik join the laughing fit. I understand what he means. Seto did that to me last week. I sigh. I miss Seto already.

“Is something wrong?” Yugi asks me. I shake my head not to be rude. I see Yugi leave into the kitchen and come out with Malik and Ryou but with...white liquid glue. hey hey sneak behind their three look alike an without warning dump all the glue on their heads (Yami’s, Bakura’s, and Marik’s). They laugh at the surprise faces of the three. I...laugh hysterically.

“What was that for.” Bakura asks but nobody can answer for they all are laughing including myself. I never laughed this much not even as a puppy.

“You’re going to pay for this, Malik.” Marik declares. I stop laughing just for the need of air. I stay all this time laughing getting to know them. I become friends with them. And I like that Seto always said I should get some friends but time goes fast when you’re having fun.

“Joey, we have to go.” Serenity pouts but I nod we say our good-byes and let Tristan walk us back to the house.

Once we are at the front door I ring the bell and someone hurries to the door and opens it quickly. I see Seto standing at the door with a worried look on his face.

“Joey.” Seto says to me in relief as he embraces me in his arms. I most have worried him. I didn’t mean to. I hug him back hoping he would calm down.

“Where have you been?” Seto asks me pushing me gently back looking straight into my eyes.

“Do you have how worried I was?” He keeps questioning me and make me feel guilty for making him worry so much.

“Sorry, Mister Kaiba. It’s kinda my fault me and my friends invited him over to one of our places.” Tristan says to Seto. Seto glares at Tristan.

“Do you work here?” Seto questions him and I see Tristan flinch slightly. He nods though to answer Seto. I see Seto about to make a comment but I interrupt him.

“Well come on, Serenity. We better go in.say say in hurry. Serenity catches on quickly and we rush inside pushing Seto inside with us closing the door behind us. Seto looks down at me and I only shake my head. I see him sigh and we go back to our room. Serenity goes her way to the room she sleeps in.

Once in our room Seto just stays quiet and I don’t like it. Why is he acting like this?

“Seto?” I question walking up to him. My eyes looking straight at him. He sighs at me and slowly wraps his arms around me. He slightly drags me to the bed and sits me down on his lap. I rest my head on his chest waiting to see if he’ll answer.

“Do you know how worried I was, Joey?...Very. I couldn’t find my puppy anywhere inside. I looked in the garden and still no pup. I checked the kitchen no luck. Do you know how I almost died from the worry that something happened to both you and your sister?” He whispers in my ear. I feel tears come to my eyes. I didn’t mean to worry Seto so much, not even at all.

“I’m sorry, Seto. Please don’t be angry with me.” I plead in his chest. He sighs and rubs my head with his hand to comfort me somewhat.

“I’m not angry. I’m relieved that your okay but Joey you have to understand that as a human you have responsibilities so people don’t worry. Like leaving a not or something to tell me that you’re not here. And it has to tell me where and why. Please just do that for me.” He whispers in my ear. I nod. I’ll do it if it means Seto won’t be like this anymore. Having Seto worry about me makes me feel guilty.

I guess I have to learn the responsibility of being hu I s I sigh when Seto moves us onto the pillow and keeps me in his arms. I snuggle into his chest as he covers us with the blanket. We sleep a peaceful sleep.
