Bakura walked behind Mai, hands in his pockets, glaring holes into her blond hair.
“So, what are we doing again? I swear Mai, this better be good dragging me off like—”
“Shut it already! You’ll have plenty of time to play around with your boys later. Oh, stop sulking will you!” They made a turn and started up a flight of stairs.
“This isn’t sulking, this is contained anger. There are plenty of other things I would rather be doing then following you to god knows where.” They had made another turn then, before stopping completely.
“This isn’t right.”
Bakura looked impatiently at the blond. He could be in bed with his two hot boyfriends, but instead was left following this broad around to a place that she didn’t even know where it was at. After more walking, more stops, and even more asking for directions, she got it right.
“We’re here.”
Mai led Bakura into a presidential room (the really big ones). The walls were a pale pink and the plush carpet was stark white, just begging to be stained in his opinion. A large slay bed dominated most of the main room. While a roman tub took claim of the adjoined bathroom.
He whistled lowly. “You always did like to go all the way with things.”
Mai tossed her hair back proudly. “Yeah, well, I’m getting pain enough. So why not? I still don’t get why your all the way down in B.F.E it’s so gloomy down there.”
He just shrugged off the comment. “So, can we get moving? I have much better thing to be doing.”
Mai pulled out a laptop, turning on the power; he waited for her to connect to the client. Finally the video came up, signaling the connection of him and the client. A man, only about 18 showed up on the screen, regarding them with board speculation.
“So, I presume you’re the ones sent for the job then?” seeing the two nod in reply he continued. “Good, well, I have some people of my own to help you out. Mostly just to push people out of the way so you have a clear shot. I’ve already sent Miss Valentine the files, so you both look through them.”
Bakura wasn’t too happy at the news of yet more people being involved in this. “I’m sure it was for the best, but I doubt we need any help.” He scoffed.
“Yes well, let me put it this way then. There are 900 workers on that ship, 3500 guest along with them. At no one time will everyone simply move out of your way. I don’t care if you want the help or not, you’re getting it. They have their orders already, now you have yours. That’s it. Till you dock tomorrow, enjoy the cruise why don’t you. Just don’t screw around too much.” With one last smirk the screen went dead, leaving the room in silence.
“Well you’re already doing a fine job of keeping me from screwing at least, and no, I won’t you live it down. Do we really have to follow that?” Bakura was nearly seething. Sure the money was great, but putting up with someone like that.
“It’s only for a week. Get over yourself and put up with it for now.”
“Whatever, I’ll get you for that, but for now, what’s that bastards name anyways and where are the files?”
Mai sighed, always straight to business with him and his attitude wasn’t helping much either. “Here are the files and that bastard’s name, as you so kindly put it, is Seto Kaiba, one of the most influential people around, not to mention the near never-ending amount of funding he has.. That’s why you’re going to put up with his behavior for now.” She said in a leave-now tone.
Bakura snatched up the files turning to leave the room.
“Oh and Bakura? Do what he said. We don’t have to meet till tomorrow afternoon. That’s when we’ll meet the others. Till then, just take a breather and no screwing around.”
“Just so long as you boobs don’t escape there…exceedingly meek defenses, I don’t think we’ll have any problems.”
He left the room, not really caring for the plan all that much. As far as the files though, he better take a look at those now. So he headed to the ship’s study. Thankfully, it was a 24/7 one. Bakura chose a black, leather lounge chair as his spot. Not that there weren’t others. The whole place was empty, but for one woman, 20’s maybe, sat at a desk, gleefully looking over the work that she had completed before sulking as she saw the other things that needed to be finished as well.
“Sir, if you need anything just ask for me. You can call me Tab.”
“Right, I’ll do that.” He smiled to the girl before once again claiming his chair.
He opened up the first file, glancing carelessly over the information. Contact information, normal schedule, whatever could be told about the person’s gifts and weaknesses. An hour or so of learning everything about the first person, or at least pretending to be a great scholar for that hour or so, he tossed it to the side, opening up onto the second one he looked down at the first page and already found this one much more enchanting. “This could be interesting.” He murmured to himself. He slowed down as he read the file: Taking in each paragraph, each line, every letter until he knew everything that needed to know. Now Bakura could finally start this mission, both of them.

If a portal to hell had opened up in front of him, Ryou would have gladly jumped into it without a second though. But he wasn’t that lucky. Instead he was walking away from a lecture about not getting family drunk, even though he had nothing to do with his cousin’s decision to accept drinks from random strangers…not to mention that his Aunt herself was flat out drunk didn’t help her argument much. Seeing as she passed out only after 20 minutes of it, Ryou had taken to the empty halls once again, leaving her where she fell.
Randomly turning corners and going up flights of stairs, he came to a circle, doors surrounding about ¾ of it. Above the doors were neon signs: Ball Room, Lounge, Library, and Karaoke stood in front of him. He shrugged and went into the one with sound emitting from its tilted doors, the karaoke bar. Inside tables were seated with semi-circle sofas that surrounded the stage below. A black topped bar took up the upper right side, where most of the people were casually drinking and talking with each other. Ryou took a seat at one of the tables far from anyone else, watching as a few girls took the stage, almost falling up the stairs to do so and proceeded to murder Bon Jovi’s-Wanted Dead or Alive, making Ryou, and everyone else, cringe. More songs passed each more horrible and numbing as the rest and Ryou was considering leaving, if anything just to save himself from this torture. In his wondering he didn’t notice two blonds come up to his table.
“Can we sit here?”
Ryou blushed a bit as he looked over to see two already sitting at the other end of the sofa, both looked extremely similar and were wearing black leather pants. The only difference was that one was in a tight lavender half shit, while the other was in a tightly fitting black one. Dark tanned skin was framed my platinum blond, making them unmistakable hotter. Gold cuffs and jewelry of all kinds hunt off of them, but none of it overbearing on their look.
“Sure. I was just leaving—” he started to rise from his seat.
“No, you should stay. I heard this whole music thing gets better
later.” The blond in lavender made a move to pull him back down. Ryou easily dodged the hand but still sat back down, almost glad he was stopped and actually asked to sit, but not really what sure what to do now, he sat there staring around the room.

“Horrible isn’t it?”
Ryou jumped at the voice suddenly right next to his ear. The black donned one had moved up right next to him, while the other had moved on his other side, both looking perfectly conferrable while Ryou sat still, at a loss for anything remotely like this situation to call back on for help.
Finally finding his voice he spoke to the wild looking one quietly.
“What is?”
“Them.” He gestured to the singers laughing evilly in a deep tone. “I’m surprised no one’s clawed out their ears….maybe their deft” he mused before the other jumped in.
“No, they’re just drunk. Like everyone on this ship but us. You’re not drunk are you?” he leaned closer to smell Ryou, actually only to like his smell and start burying his head in his sleeved arm for it.
Ryou was taken aback by the sudden nuzzling and closure, but forced himself to concentrate. Even though this guy was practically prepared to eat his arm…and in a very good was, it seemed to Ryou..“Umm, no. I hope not at least.”
The tamer one picked his head up from Ryou’s arm. “I like him, he’s adorible. Can we have him?” He whispered.
Ryou went more on guard. “I don’t think I’m up for sale. Sorry.”
“Well if you change your mind, this is Marik, my names Malik.” Malik held his hand up for Ryou to take. Ryou didn’t get very far with the whole hand thing because Malik was refusing to let him have it back. , claiming that it was too good to let go.
“I’m Ryou. Nice to meet you.”
They watched as the girls thankfully finished their song and an old man went to the microphone. The board indicated that he was going to sing Welcome to the Jungle by Guns n’ Roses.
Ryou watched hopefully as he stared intently. “I hope he doesn’t—nope, he ruined it.” He sat back in his seat as something more attuned to a children’s theme song in fast forward with a dying cow or two made its way through the crowd instead of the classic rock one chosen.
Malik and Marik looked equally destroyed in their hopes. “Such a good song too. Oh well, maybe the next one. So what are you doing on ship?”
Ryou paused before answering, not really sure that he was talking to him, even though there was no one else around. “Family wedding, I was invited along.”
“They pay?”
“Umm, not really. Some I guess.”
“So your parents then?”
Ryou was becoming more closed off, each question putting him more on guard. “I…I don’t think that’s—”
“Malik, stop interrogating him. You’ll scare him off.” Marik had spoken up seeing Ryou’s discomfort. “But that’s not much of an invitation.” He continued watching the old man, not really directing the comment at anyone,
“Right…so you two are brothers?”
Marik looked at Ryou curiously. “You think?”
“Y-yes?”
“Nope. This is my boyfriend. I really hope he’s not my brother.” Marik smirked passing over Ryou to sit on Marik’s lap.
“Sorry, you just look a lot alike.”
“Yeah, don’t worry though, we get that a lot. So what about you?” Malik said now hanging over him instead of haunting his side
“Wha-what about me?”
“Do you have anyone?” Ryou shifted in his seat.
“No, not really looking though. Doesn’t seem worth it.”
Malik and Marik both looked at him oddly.
“What?”
“I’ve never heard anyone say that before. Most of the time it: oh, I’m waiting for the right one, or I’ve had a bad break up. I like your excuse way better than those.”
Ryou was glad it was really dark so no one could see him blushing madly. Of all the things to say, that was not what he expected.
“Umm,thanks? I think.”
“No problem.”
They all went back to watching the stage. Was it him or did they seem closer than before? He shook it off as his imagination his attention shifting as the stage board changed songs to Black Eyed Peas-My Humps and a little girl, maybe 6 or 7 replaced the old man.
Ryou stood up, not willing to be put through this, and turned to Malik and Marik. “I’m going to get going before I do claw out my ears. Maybe I’ll see you around.”
Malik smiled and waved. “Yeah, I’m sure. If we’re both up this late…early, I’m sure. Look forward to it.”
“Early.” Ryou looked around or a clock, spotting one on the far wall he noted that it was already past 5 in the morning. “Oh, wow. I really go to go then.” He waved quickly to the others before rushing off. Leaving the two mew acquaintances arguing weather this was considered spying on Bakura’s interests or not. They decided that they were guilty of nothing more than finding a cute kid and trying to hit on him, even if he seemed to not notice at all.

Well that was short, sorry. But after Malik and Marik meeting I really didn’t know what to do. So another chapter should be out a bit sooner than this one took.
hope you enjoyed ^^
