Duelist Kingdom Revisted
---Chapter 4: Preparations

The next morning Seto woke up around 8, earlier then he had to but he couldn't sleep well for obvious reasons. He'd gone to sleep around 11 hoping to get enough sleep so that his judgement wouldn't be impared the next day. He didn't feel groggy or anything to that effect, so he wasn't to worried about that. He however had had nightmares about what Pegasus might be doing to Mokuba. He shivered a bit as he got out of bed and proceeded in getting ready.

He went into his bathroom, only in his boxors and stripped, turning on the shower and waiting for the temperature to be just right. He climbed in and started cleaning himself, all the while his mind filled with worry.

About 10 to 15 minutes later he climbed out and wrapped a towel around his waist, then grabbing another towel to dry his hair off. Walking over to his closet he dropped the two towels and proceeded in getting dressed in his normal outfit with his long white coat.

Going downstairs quickly he only grabbed a muffin, feeling he wouldn't be able to hold much down but wanting something in his system. He ate it rather hastily then going back upstairs to his study.

Seto then picked up his phone and started making arrangements for Yugi's flight. It would leave at Noon, giving them plenty of time to get there and the flight was only an hour and a half long. After getting all the flight plans sorted out he called his office.

He picked up the phone and speed dialed Kaiba Corp once again.

"Kaiba Corp, Laura speaking how may I help you?"

"Have an employee meet Yugi Motto and his friends at the baggage claim at the airport and take them to their flight. I'm having someone drop the tickets off at the front desk where you're at momentarily, give them to him. Now connect me to the Strategies Department" Seto said all this very clear yet quickly.

"Yes sir, one moment" she placed him on hold and transfered his call.

"Yes sir, head of Strategies Department speaking"

"Have you come up with any good strategies and simulations?" Seto asked picked up his briefcase and standing up, still holding the phone to his ear.

"Yes sir, if you'd like to come down we have them all programed into the computer so you can watch and study them"

"Alright I'll be there soon, get them ready" Seto then hung up the phone and proceeded downstairs, and out the door where the car was waiting for him.

Climbing in briefcase in hand Seto told his driver to head out to Kaiba Corp as he leaned back in the seat and started to let his mind go over the strategies he'd come up with.

Meanwhile at Yugi's house, Yugi was downstairs eating breakfast when there was a knock at his door. He got up wiping his mouth a bit, and he went over and answered the door, surprised to find Joey, Tristan, and Tea' waiting outside.

"What are you guys doing here?! I thought we were gonna meet at the airport" Yugi was both shocked and surprised, not that he minded them coming.

"We figured we just drop by here early, rather then all meet up later" Tea' smiled a bit.

"Yeah plus we wanted some food" Joey smiled and walked in closely followed by Tristan. They were both licking there lips, rather hungry as always.

"Jeez you guys" Yugi laughed a bit and after Tea' came in he closed the door and went back to the table with the others seated.

"What would you all like to eat?" Yugi's grandfather was getting there plates ready.

"Anything and everything" Joey snickered a little bit.

"Same here!" Tristans mind started to fill we thoughts of the food he was going to eat.

"Just two eggs and some bacon please" Tea smiled nicely.

After getting the plates ready, Yugi and his grandfather both sat down and they started eating. Once everyone was done the questioning started.

"So Yugi, how exactly did Kaiba get a hold of you?" Joey asked as he let out a burp.

"Scuz me" he laughed a bit then waited for a reply.

"He came by yesterday around 5, and told me, simple as that" Yugi looked up at his friends after taking a sip of milk.

"Really? Kaiba seems like the type that would rather use the phone, but maybe thats just me" Tristan spoke up.

"I have a feeling Pegasus 'suggested' it to Kaiba" Yugi emphasized the 'suggested' part.

"Yeah more then likely, what does he want with Kaiba anyways?" Tea' got her word in.

"Kaiba said that Pegasus wants to humiliate him, but without his Millenium Eye, I don't see how Pegasus has a chance of beating Kaiba" Yugi looked over at his grandfather who nodded in agreement.

"And if that had happened I think we would know about it, after all it was Bakura who took his eye, and I doubt the evil spirit in him would be happy about that" Solomon nodded once again.

"Yeah but ya never know, Pegasus mighta got it back then sent that spirit to the shadow realm and stuck his soul in one a dem cards" Joey said, thinking more so then usual.

"Maybe, but we won't know until we get there" Yugi looked at the clock at it was now 9:30.

"We should probably get going, it doesn't hurt to be early and its about a half hour drive to the airport, then theres finding the guy that Kaiba is sending." Yugi spoke again.

"Yeah good idea Yug, lets go" Joey got up, along with Tristan and Tea', and and walked out the front door and gathered around the car.

Yugi got up to follow them out but his grandfather placed a hand on his shoulder. Yugi turned around looking at his grandfather questioningly.

"Yugi I know I can't stop you from going, but please just be careful" he sounded very concerned.

Yugi smiled a bit. "Don't worry grandpa I will"

Yugi then hugged his grandfather, getting a hug in return.

Yugi and his grandfather went outside and got in the car, along with Joey, Tristan and Tea', and headed for Domino airport.


A little after 9:30 Seto arrived at Kaiba corp and went inside, and quickly entered the elevator, pressing the button for floor 16, Strategies and Ideas Department. The elevator dinged, and the door opened. Seto quickly and briskly went down a few hallways until he came to a door labeled 'Visualization Room'. Seto opened the door and was greeted by the head of the Strategies Department.

"Alright run these strategies and plays by, how long will this take?" Seto asked wanting to start preparations on his Blue Eyes White Dragon Jet.

"About an hour to an hour and a half sir."

'A bit longer then I wanted but oh well, my jet is faster then the plane Yugi and his friends are taking so I should still get there before them. The jet will take about 1 hour to prep and an hour to get there. I should be there around 1, plenty of time to spare incase I want to go look around for Mokuba'

"Start playing them then" Seto said sternly.

"Yes sir" he motioned for them to start up the sequences, and Seto simpley watched and studied.


Yugi and the others arrived at the airport around 10:30. The traffic had been worse then they'd expected. Solomon dropped them off at one of the sliding doors to the airport and waved goodbye as he drove off. It was better for him to just drop them off seeing as finding the time to park would be a hassel. Yugi and the others walked inside and looked up to a billboard, directory type thing. It said 'Baggage Claim' and had an arrow pointing to the right. They followed this until another sign said to go up, which they did. Once they got off the escalator they immidiately saw the Baggage Claim, and a man in a suit with a sign that said 'Yugi' on it.

"Think thats the guy?" Joey joked around starting over to the man, followed quickly by the others.

Recognizing Yugi, since he'd been on TV so much, the Kaiba Corp employee went up to them and held out the four tickets.

"Your flight is number 327, leaving from gate 114A. Your flight leaves at Noon, you should get there about 15 minutes early" the employee stated, then after they took the tickets he left.

"He was rather cheery wasn't he? Well lets go" Yugi then started figuring out where they had to go again and they arrived at the gate around 11:15.

"We got some time to kill, lets go get some food" Joey smiled a bit and ran off to a McDonalds in the airport with Tristan.

Yugi meanwhile sat down near the gate, near the window, looking out onto the ground. The plane was a smaller one, only big enough for about 10 people it looked. It was already there but he figured he'd wait for the others to be ready before he got on.

Tea' then sat next to him.

"If you wanna go wait on the plane I'll tell Joey and Tristan where you are."

"No thanks Tea', I don't mind waiting" Yugi looked at her and smiled a bit.

About 15 minutes later Joey and Tristan returned, rather full and they all got on the plane, handing over there tickets.

"I wonder what kinda plane Kaiba got us" Tristan wondered.

"Prolly a really crappy one" Joey sounded a little pissed.

When they got inside however, they discovered it to be a nice plane, that only VIPs could most likely afford.

"Wow! That was pretty nice of Kaiba! We'll get the good meal, not the stupid peanuts!" Tristan sounded very happy.

"I wonder why he got us such a nice plane" Tea' sat down in her seat.

"Prolly wasn't paying attention" Joey then sat down along with Tristan.

Yugi sat down as well but he shook his head "I don't think so, maybe it was to keep us from getting off the plane and changing our minds."

"That could be it, well it worked, I'm staying" Joey reclined in the nice seat and let out a sigh of comfort.

Yugi smiled a bit and chatted with his friends waiting for the plane to take off.


11:30 at Kaiba Corp, Seto was fairly irritated with his staff.

"That took a little under 2 hours, and I thought of all those ideas last night!" Seto fumed leaving the room, followed by the head of the Strategies department.

"We're sorry sir! We came up with as many good plays as we thought and kept adding them throughout the whole presentation!"

"Save it, you'll keep your job for now, but get out of my face." Seto walked in the elevator and pressed the level one button and left Kaiba Corp quickly, getting into his car.

"Kaiba Land, and phone them to start prepping the Blue Eyes White Dragon Jet" Seto closed the car door quickly as the car sped off and the driver dialed Kaiba Land and told them what to do.

Speeding slightly along the way, Seto managed to make it to Kaiba Land by 11:45 and he dashed up the steps slightly and into an elevator, pressing a button that would take him to the top floor where he kept his jet. When it reached the top floor he stepped out and went into the control room.

"The Blue Eyes White Dragon Jet is still being prepped sir, now we need to know where you're headed though" one of his workers asked him.

"Duelist Kingdom" Seto started helping with the preparations so that he could get underway faster, he didn't want to be late to his 'meeting'.

"Pick up the pace everyone, I want to leave as soon as possible, run all safety checks thoroughly, but hurry it up!" Seto kept typing up information, getting everything prepped as quickly as he could.


Now being Noon, Yugi and co's plane took off for Duelist Kingdom. They were quickly offered a wide arrangement of snacks, drinks, and larger meals to eat.

After stuffing his face for about 15 minutes Joey started talking.

"I wonder if we'll get there before Kaiba"

"Probably not, he's probably really worried about Mokuba so if he hasn't left by now he will be soon. Afterall his jet does go faster then this plane" Yugi stated.

"Most likely." Tristan said.


12:15, Kaiba Land, the jet had been prepped in half its normal time but everything seemed to be in working order, as Seto climbed in and buckled in. He put his helmet on and began pressing buttons.

"Coms" he said.

"Check" an employee replied.

"Navigation"

"Check"

"Engines"

"Check"

"Thrusters"

"Check"

"Landing Gear"

"Check, Blue Eyes White Dragon Jet ready for launch."

With that final go ahead, Seto pressed a few more buttons and the engines and tail thrusters turned on, sending the Jet soaring high into the air at 700mph. Stearing the Jet forward, locked onto his coordinates, Duelist Kingdom. He was heading along the same path as Yugi so he figured he'd be passing the plane in a matter of minutes but he didnt' care.

'Mokuba don't worry I'm coming!' Seto yelled mentally as the Jet soared over the ocean.


On the plane Yugi and the others felt a rumble and their tray tables stacked with food began to quake.

"What's going on? Are we having turbulence?!" Tea' seemd worried.

Then there was a loud, plane type noise approaching.

"No I don't think so" Yugi said going over to the left side of the plane followed by Tea'.

They all looked out the window and they briefly saw a flash of blue.

"What was that?!" They all scrambled to the front of the plane to look out the front window, and they clearly saw the Blue Eyes White Dragon Jet.

"Kaiba!" Yugi was rather surprised.

"Yes Yugi?" Kaiba said, appearently the coms were on.

"What are you doing?! Wasn't going right by us a bit dangerous?" Tristan yelled a bit.

"I know what I'm doing, now if you don't mind I have to find my little brother" Kaiba then pressed a few buttons, causing his rear thrusters to go off a few times, making him pick up speed and quickly be out of sight of the plane.

1PM, Seto landed his plane close to, but not at Pegasus's mansion that was located in Duelist Kingdom. Figuring that Pegasus knew he was there he decided to work fast. He got out of his jet quickly, locking it down, and quickly going through the forest to Pegasus's mansion, quietly. He found the entrance he'd taken, last time he'd gone here to find Mokuba, and he quickly went inside, with his briefcase, and started looking around quickly.

"Mokuba!" Seto spoke quietly, but it was like a yell.

"Mokuba!" he repeated himself, running down the halls.

He stopped infront of a cell. He recognized it as the one Mokuba had been in before, but he wasn't there now.

"Now, now Kaiba boy you shouldn't be snooping around down here"

Seto gasped a bit and turned around. None other then Pegasus was standing 10 feet away from him.

"Damn you Pegasus, where's Mokuba!" Seto growled a bit.

"Oh he's somewhere, you're not aloud to see him for another 45 minutes though, so sorry" Pegasus smirked, he sure didn't look sorry.

"You sick freak, you're enjoying this!"

"And what if I am? Theres nothing you can do about it? Now follow Croque please, he'll take you to the dinning room where you may wait until 2PM" Pegasus turned around and left.

Croque then suddenly appeared behind Kaiba and grabbed him by the elbow, slightly dragging him in the other direction. Seto shrugged him off and followed Croque to the dining room, which they arrived at about 10 minutes later. Seto sat down, set his briefcase on the table, and crossed his arms waiting for the time to pass.


Yugi and his friends arrived at 1:30 and were promptly greeted by Croque, and a few other of Pegasus's associates.

"This way, you'll be taken to the dining room until 2PM, you'll be aloud to eat and drink your fill" Croque said rather blandly as he turned, along with the others and started up towards the mansion.

"This doesn't feel right . . . but we have to go" Yugi said, following after them, in turn followed by his friends.

They walked on, slightly dreading what events Pegasus had instore for them all.
